BIGGER, FASTER, STRONGER: Snag's Recipe for a [NATURAL] Recomp, Competition Style!

Experiment #1.. needed some fat with meal #3 here today to dose with my Prime, sooo..

1/2 TBS EVCO (haha, that's so cool)
8oz turkey breast
1.25 cups broccoli

I put the coconut oil on top of the turkey breast when it was fresh off my grill, went upstairs to get my camera.. and it was all melted when I got back down. Nice flavor tho, makes the turkey breast not as dry for sure. I ended up salt & peppering 1/2 of it as well, and the mix still tastes yummy.. :food:

I might have experiment #2 later on for you guys..
I'm like a kid with a new toy! :D

Yeah, I sure didn't see 31p. coming before I got to the 3-week mark.. ahh, it's cool tho. Keeping me focused. And I expanded my cooking skills! :hammer:

Actually fellas, that is Foreman grilled. I'd be lost without it, love that thing. Have to buy a new one every 6 months cuz I use it at least once/day, sometimes (like now), 2-3x daily..
Timber - not a dumb question, cuz I had no clue either, but the stuff I got does taste like coconuts. SteveO's right tho, not as coconutty, and obviously not the texture (which I love).
Food pic on the horizon.. my mouth's watering already.. :food:

So you guys just knew this one was coming, right?
Meal #5..not pictured is the 1/2TBS PowerButter I had along with this.
12oz shrimp
1/2 TBS EVCO

I don't know what a food boner entails, but I'm pretty sure I just go one.

Hahaa! Sorry to wreck workouts and cause food, errr, appendages.. :toofunny:
That was a fine dish tho, if I do say so myself. Man I love shrimp. The CO was incredibly easy to cook in, maintained the moisture (pan seared) better than EVOO, and had a nice, subtle taste to it. Love this stuff! Big shout out to all who recommended it!

Thanks for your advice from before Snag. I took atleast 3 things that you advised me and put them into play and am really feeling better. Also, I'm doing your post-workout nutrition scheme and really enjoying the volumizing effects. This is the only thread that I can actually get useful information from anymore on this board.

dang im hungry again...i need some shrimp

What did you season those shrimp with?
Kept it simple, just used some garlic & cayenne pepper, dash of lemon juice.

Weight fell to 187 here this morning, not real happy about that. I don't want those kind of jumps. Leaning out of course, but my goal once again is to do this w/o losing too much weight. Bumping food cals to 2600 today, carb intake to 200g, + I'm throwing Plasmavol back in the mix for the day pwo.

Thanks for that Kyle. Nice to know you're back on track. Glad you're digging the protocol!

Wow..just learned recently that the NCAA has banned MuscleMilk for athletic use due to its 'igf-promoting' ingredient panel. This is apparently why CytoSport came out with the MuscleMilk Collegiate blend, a reformulation overseen by the NCAA committee.
Un-be-lievable. :wtf:

Wow.. Next their going to ban Vit C.

Meanwhile, they partner with Gatorade for the recommended drink of choice.. Sure, ban MuscleMilk but advise sugar. Bunch of marketing bullshit.

Nice work Snag, you are cutting down too fast whilst the rest of us are going to get fat just looking at your food pics  :)

There ignorance is astounding when they see the claims they lock in on 'igf-promoting' and because they don't really understand what it is, they ban it. This is what you get when you deal with closed minds. This is the same kind of mentality at Canadian food and drug, if I don't understand what it is I will ban it or restrict it. It feels like guesswork to me. Very perplexing.

Combination of ignorance and marketing scheme. You can't tell me the NCAA isn't generating money from partnering with that Collegiate blend. Just the threat of them stating they can test for this 'metabolite' and pointing all the NCAA athletes towards one certain product, will not only put the belief out there that Collegiate blend is the best, but that they better steer clear of other protein blends as well cuz it instills the 'who knows if that igf stuff is in Isopure or BSN or anything else' type mentality. Pure marketing. So much of this goes on in our society.. Ignorance and greed -- a lethal combination.

*shakes his head and rubs his eyes*

Did I just read: Muscle Milk + IGF-1 promoting? Next on the NCAA/FDA docket: Banning vagina for its Testosterone-promoting capabilities.

I think the power of frat parties (let alone youthful hormones) would negate that particular college ban.. :p

Snag Storm in full force this morning..Cyclonic action coupled with severe arctic front from the north is causing some serious havoc on the Midwest.. :D Details to follow, stay tuned..

That just reminded me of a Family Guy episode. Peter is talking to some Hindu guy,and Peter makes a crack at the dot on the guys forehead, and the guy starts explaining, "this is the symbol of a doorway to a man's soul" etc., and Peter goes... "A vagina?"

^^^I like the way this guy thinks..:icon_lol:

Just wait until all whey protein, glutamine, and creatine is considered "performace enhancers" and are banned. This shit won't be so funny then!

Day #19 Quads/Hamstrings/Calves

BB Squat ATG: 6x12, (90sec rest)

Leg Extension: 4x15/12/12/12 + drop set (75sec rest)
(run the rack, dropping 10lbs each time, just enough rest to strip weight)
30sec hard static quad flex immediately following

Leg Curl: 5x15/15/12/12/12 + drop set (75sec rest)
(same format as extensions, dropping 5lbs each time instead)
30sec hard static ham flex immediately following, then deep static stretch & hold

Standing BB Calf Raise: 5x20/15/12/12/12
slow & controlled, hold flex at top of movement
same 30sec static flex immediately after last set

Notes: Grooving on this workout..had planned some FT but it didn't happen, will run some fasted light-to-moderate cardio tomorrow morning, probably on the wife's treadmill.
Aside from just an awesomely strong session and a massive pump (LOVING bringing the Plasmavol back into play today, I really dig this stuff), I need to mention the status of the legs. Calf has had no issues, and just as importantly my knees/tendons are feeling sheathed in steel again; it wasn't all that long ago that attempting to do ATG squatting just hobbled me and caused great pain.. Forgot to mention I dropped my SuperCissus intake back to 4/day maintenence mode couple days back; with absolutely no pain going on, decided to chill on this for a bit before I kick it into higher gear and desire more anabolic effects from it. This will happen (as will carnitine/Forslean intake) when cals get lower. I really feel I'm using these smarter this time around around, rather than just leaning on them for fat-loss support earlier in the game..
What can I say? This Storm's just demolishing everything in it's path right now; alpha-male feeling's in full force; diet's in tune; I'm happy with body comp. I feel like I'm on top of the world! :D I guess the only thing I could complain about is my lack of veins at this point, but that'll come around..I'll be patient.
Feeling nice & full today with the Plasmavol, Pslin+60g carb load for breakfast, Pslin+70g carb load postworkout. :)

Banning Muscle Milk. Complete bullsh*t.

And there is no f*cking way they can successfully test for Muscle Milk anyway.

Can you imagine getting a piss test for a new job, and they are like... I'm sorry Mr. Timber, but you tested positive for Muscle Milk. I would like to recommend rehab.

Yeah, for rehab we recommend a Big Mac/fries stack with the diet Coke.

Oh yah, good point. I didnt see the fanancial benefits involved. What gets my goat is the stereo-type it promotes, anything that aids in HGH enhancement or testotorone increase is automatically seen as evil. Most people don't even know the difference between tribulus and steroids. As long as they keep putting a negative spin on things, praying on peoples fears we are going to have more and more difficulty attaining effective products.

Dat der Muscle Milk! - "I wouldn't be surprised if both these individuals were habitually drinking Muscle Milk...JUICERS!"

Muscle Milks are just short cuts, it also taints professional sports. I bet Michael Phelps was on that Muscle Milkabolan when he won all those medals.

I stand by my accusations.

Haha Irish, good one.. Sheer lunacy I tell ya. Drug testing for Muscle Milk, funny you bring that up Timber: the guy that told me this, he's an NAIA track coach, but they get all the NCAA guidelines & releases. When I made that same statement that there was no way in HELL they could test for Muscle Milk ingredients, he kinda looked at me like, 'uhh..okay dude, whatever.' Like it was obvious that he thought they could indeed. Seriously. And this is a college track coach we're talking about here.. (okay, so maybe that's why he's at a small NAIA school, ahahaaa). But this is your average, uninformed individual's thought process. A ginormous amount of the population are unfortunately a bunch of damn sheep..

Yeah man... there isn't much in Muscle Milk you can't find in regular foods... Good luck with your 800 false positives.

Its like finding out Snag tested positive for broccoli and French's without digging through his stool.

MuscleMilk is a gateway drug...omg

Let's take a gander at the Muscle Milk Collegiate nutrition facts:

Invalid Link Removed

...all I see is a high calorie, high carb, low protein per serving protein shake

WTF could they test for ??

MuscleMilk is a gateway drug...omg

I burn my muscle milk on a spoon and inhale the fumes. That takes a damn long time to finish, especially if its cold. Snorting it made me feel like I was drowning, so.....Nose dribbles were killing my workout shirts.
