is that standing barbell rows? I am impressed. thats a **** ton of weight...or course im weak as well when it comes to standing barbell rows & bent over rows
There's a $1 off coupon that I've printed probably 100 copies off for Frozen Fruits & Vegetables. I get 600g of this great Stir Fry Mix Invalid Link Removed (Zen Garden is #1) for $1, or Frozen Fruits for ~$3. Makes for great stir fry's!Broccoli is my fav (broccoli, sugar snap peas, mini corn cobs, carrots, mushrooms, onions). If I have some extra shrooms I'll throw lots in there -- love 'em! Onions too.. I like your taste!

Looking great, Snag! Considering you're an inch taller than me, I really hope I can have you muscle density and size by the time I hit 185lbs or so.
You're very aesthetic.. Arms/Delts/Chest are in the perfect proportion.
Thanks bro. Symmetry is golden! I'm still a bit unbalanced in places imo, esp. in my legs now (having favored one side over the other during the last few months training thru my knee/calf issues), but I'm always working to correct flaws. Appreciate that comment!
Great thickness and proportion Snag. You look much heavier than your sig says.

The coupon expires Dec 31st though, and I pray that there is the same coupon for 2009 because it has saved me $100 easily.
THe coupon is Invalid Link Removed incase you can use it.
I was thinking the same thing. Lean muscle always looks bigger than soft flabby mass. Plus, snagency is 5'9....so that's part of it. He looks really huge to just weigh 193.Great thickness and proportion Snag. You look much heavier than your sig says.
Mmmm.. just busted out a mug of green tea. I drink a lot of this during cutting season, but this is the first I've had for awhile. Was just taking inventory to see how much I had on hand, and a it just sounded good. When hardcore cutting time rolls around, I'll have 3 cups of this daily..
Got a few tricks up my sleeve as we go -- can't show 'em all up front tho! You guys will lose interest.. you'll just have to hang around I guess.

I'm 6'3" so I've got a long tall frame to try and fill out. I still think I look kinda skinny in a way. I've peeled of 40+ pounds of blubber in the last 16 months. Now I have the arduous task of trying to replace it with lean muscle!
Lookin solid Snag...keep up the hard work.
What's the future goals/plans for ya?
..'just' huh? We can't all be 250lb. beasts TG! 8~O
Y'know, I have no aspirations to be Cutler-esque, or anything near it. #1, I won't do the juice/hgh required for such size, and my genetics - while good - are not that good. These guys are on another genetic level, even without the help. #2, anytime I approach 210 lbs. I lose flexibility, and since I do other things besides bb'ing (like tennis and hoops), I don't dig that at all. My goal for years now has been to be in the 200lb. range, at ~5%. If I ever get there & maintain that, I'll be an extremely happy camper!
TG - you've done an awesome job getting to your current physique. I know what you mean about feeling 'skinny' tho.. and just wait till we get you down to/below 8% my man, you'll feel even skinnier! Turn sideways to see yourself in the mirror & you'll disappear! HAHAHAAAA! Okay just kidding.. but, you'll also feel more powerfull and God-like, sinewy, lean & MEAN brother! And even tho you might feel skinnier, I guarantee you other ppl will think you look bigger. Something about chiseled & defined muscle just makes a bigger image imo.

Leaner people definitely look bigger...
Snags, if you can get to 200 and maintain 5% BF, that would be absolutely incredible. You would look like a total monster. Personally, I don't think I can maintain that lean of a physique year round. The only time you'll see me dip below 8 to 9% is for a fight - I just can't grow when I'm that lean - and I find it hard to maintain for a long period of time.
Agreed bro, that is tough to maintain. I maintained 5-6% bf for a couple yrs. running, living a ketogenic lifestyle, but I sure didn't gain any mass during that time, and my bw was in the 175-180 range the whole time. That's my challenge I guess - figure out a way to do it
No your body type you need the carbs and I think you have to maintain around 8-10% off season to gain mass. I am just going by what I saw with my partner. My body type is a total different story.
Yeah TG, 250lbs and respectably lean is fricken huge. If push came to shove, I could probably hit 250lbs, but clinically obese. I don't see my frame getting larger then 225lbs LBM, ever. The last time I was 230lbs I felt like the State Puff Marshmellow Man.
And Snag, you too. You both defy time in your physiques. Guys like Thomas and Irish are pretty top notch in the fitness realm of their age group, but as we progress in years, simply being lean puts you at the top, but being lean and muscular makes you quite elite.

I drink green tea like it's my job lol. The log, pics, and diet are lookin real good so far ! keep it up man

Thanx dude. Hey I dig your sig quote; but are you serious? Ah man, now you've gone & shattered my illusions.. First Christian Boeving, and now Jay.. isn't there any MT product I can take to get big & strong like these guys? Cuz their ads tell me so..![]()
Dude, don't you read magazines? :fool2:
Cell-Tech Hardcore!! :woohoo:
Look at Volcom talking like he's 50... You might not be 7%BF, but you're still one of the strongest guys I know... You have to play with the cards you're dealt - you definitely do my man.

Right on Timber!! Volcom is a strong mo-fo fo sho!! And he is definitely not fat. He's just being overly-modest. He's such a nice guy. :thumbsup:Look at Volcom talking like he's 50... You better know that I didn't mean "just 193" in a condescending or negative sense at all. I can only dream of looking as good as you currently do! And I'm not a 250 lb. beast now!! I'm only a 241 lb. wanna be as of this morning!! ha ha ha
I'm feeling great this morning. I'm back on track. My goals are clear. My path is chosen. I will not be denied!!
OH well, if we REALLY have to, just don't make us wait too long ! Invalid Link Removed
Can't but agree with everyone else. Great mass & great symmetry Snag Invalid Link Removed
Nah, no negativity taken whatsoever there big guy.
I would use them Post Cycle, if only because of Anabolic Pump's powerfull ability to mitigate the production and accumulation of plasma triglycerides and LDL cholesterol! This is an additive, welcome effect in regards to a Post Cycle environment! In fact, this is a primary mechanism through which Anabolic Pump induces lasting, physiological changes [if one responds to it]: The increased phosphorylation of AMPk changes the body's oxidative substrate from glucose to lipids [primarily FFAs], which necessarily increases the amount of FFAs oxidized as fuel, and increase the glucose which may be subsequently synthesized to glycogen. In this respect, the claim that Anabolic Pump may assist one to lose fat and 'gain muscle' [very broad definition that I myself steer away from] is not outlandish conjecture, but rather clinically displayed. In trials with Berberine, whole-body Insulin sensitivity is always displayed [through additive mechanisms of AMPk action {glycolysis and the mitigation of plasma triglycerides and FFAs}] with an adjunct decrease in total adiposity!
In fact, and in my opinion, Berberine stands alone in this regard - particularly the protoberberine compounds thereof which are responsible for much of its physiological action! These actions are why Anabolic Pump may be of a particular benefit to low-carb/ketogenic style diets!
That really did not answer your question but, meh.

Thanx DG! Currently, I have no goals other than doing this log justice & sharing my philosophies.. long-term goal is 200lb. bw range at ~5% bf, like I explained above. I'm contemplating whether I want to do any shows in 2009.. I might just retire from competition, dunno yet. I kinda always wanted my pro card, but that goal has really taken on less importance at this time in my life. I train now for aesthetics.. and therapeutic stress relief.. it's just my lifestyle.
Reps for your variety of sports and athletics. You remind me of Bo Jackson. Dur ain't nuffin Bo dozin know!Day #4 MIIT/Abs
So no HIIT this morning.. more like medium-intensity intervals. Have I said that I don't care for most cardio? Tried something a bit different this morning, got on the wife's new treadmill, ran the first 20 minutes utilizing the incline grades & slight pace increments, just playing around & checking things out, just medium effort mostly. Was enough to break a good sweat tho! Finished with a steady-state pace for 15 minutes after that. Preceeded this with abs, 200 reps from 4 various movements, 45-sec. rests between each set.
Treadmill's aren't for me. Nice unit and all, just too monotonous for my taste. I'd rather be out biking, or swimming, or even sprinting.
Just to clarify my stance on cardio - don't want to give the impression I think this is a useless endeavor. Cardio is important on a number of levels, for sure. I do think that it is overdone a lot in bb'ing circles, and if you're not careful you can chew into your muscle stores. At least I have in the past..
Speaking of dietary issues: I have implemented the 2750 cal mark as of today. I really didn't want to drop this quickly, but in planning for a few side dishes New Years Eve, I figured I might as well get down there now. Macros will take on roughly a 45/35/20 C/P/F split, so figure 300g carbs, 250g protein daily..
2nd meal of the day today was 1 whole egg+3 whites (scrambled), 1 can albacore tuna w/ some salsa, 1 cup broccoli, and 1 piece Ezekiel bread. The Ezekiel cereal I picked up yesterday was pretty tasty, had that in my breakfast..
