Baby Wifey's Bucket of Happiness

Both. :p

Finally in TX. Not actually in Dallas, but it is nice to finally be in the state I'll be residing in for at least 5 years.

Worked out in the Hotel fitness room. Not the best workout, but it was decent:

4x15

DB Squats: 30 lb DBs
w/DB Rows: 30 x2, 20, 25 lb DBs

4x8
Step Ups: BW+ 20 lb DBs
w/ DB Bench Press: 35 lbs, 40 lbs, 45 lb x2 DBs

25 minutes on Bicycle

One time, the hotel fitness room I was at only had a a set of 40 pound dumbbells, 25 pound dumbbells, a stair climber, and 2 treadmills.

I got a nice set of 4x50 with the 40's for db bench and 4x30 with the 25's for biceps curls..

:icon_lol:

Walking lunges on the stair mill, FTW! We used to have a female firefighter at my gym that would strap a 50lb weight vest on herself and run the stairs. Man, she was so hot.

I did work out yesterday, but I got a little preoccupied with applying for jobs, too- forgot to post up my workout!

workout:

4x6
BB flat bench: 95, 105, 115, 125 lbs

DB squats: 55, 60, 65x2

BB Bent Rows: 70, 80x3
w/ Single Leg Bridges: 10 per leg

4x12 Bicep Curls: 40, 35x3
w/
tricep Extensions: 35 lb

Leg Curls: 100 lbs

HIIT on the bicycle: 8, 20 second Sprints, 40 second rest in between sprints. 5 minutes warm-up, 5 minutes cool down. Total of 20 minutes of cardio.

The HIIT felt great! I hadn't done HIIT for a very long time. I'm thinking that I'll make it a regular thing now.

HIIT always heavily boosts my mood. I love it when I do it!...I haven't done cardio in a loooong time now. :( - I think I may start getting it in a couple times a week if possible. I may start doing one fasted training session per week (rotating the muscles I hit in the fasted session each week)...maybe I'll do it then.

I've been doing Cardio on and off lately, but HIIT is so much more effective for fat loss! :) I just feel like I should be doing it!

Workout:

6x4

Clean and Press: 95, 100, 105x3, 110 for first 2 reps, 105 for last2

5x5

Dips: 10, 20, 25 lbsx3
DB Lunges: 32.5 lb DBs

4x6

Negative Pull Ups: BW -40 x 2, BW-30 x2

4x15

Reverse Cable Curls: 40x2, 50, 40

Eliptical Machine HIIT: 4 minutes warm up. 6, 20 second sprints w/ 40 seconds in between. 4 minutes cool down. Total of 14 minutes

I was disappointed in my C&P. I couldn't even do an entire set with 110lbs!:lick: I think next week will be much better.

Dips felt awesome! I felt very good about that movement. :)

and I was so tired when I got around to the pull ups, that I could only manage negatives. I was as controlled with them as possible, and they were hard!

The Eliptical machine was definitely more difficult to sprint on than the bike. It took my entire body to sprint rather than JUST my legs. I was dying by the end of my 6th sprint! My heart rate was up to 185-190 during the 20 second sprinting sessions.

Are you one of those people that keeps the Elliptical on the low intensity and sprints as hard as you can until the arms comes off the track? :p - Looks like a great workout minus being so tuckered out for some of those lifts. I definitely know what that feels like.

Any jobs lined up?

Nope. :28: I bump up the intensity by about 40% when I'm about to do my sprint!

Any jobs lined up?

I've applied to several places out here, and have yet to hear back from anyone. I only applied a couple of days ago so I will need to give it some time. :)

Went to the gym today! It definitely felt good, but I didn't have my partner with me and that made lifting heavy a bit more difficult:

Workout:

5x5
BB Squats: 155x3, 145x2
w/ DB Rows: 30, 35x5

DB Flat Bench: 47.5, 50x2, 55, 50
w/ Step Ups: BW+ 35 lbs

4x15
DB Hammer Curls: 20x2, 25x2
w/ Overhead tricep extensions: 20, 17.5, 15x2

3x15

Leg Extensions:100 lbs

Eliptical Machine Sprints: 6, 20 second Sprints, 40 sec break.

yeaaa made it into gym, no lifting partner grrr someone needs to be put into place

Ha! yeah. Things just got extremely complicated. Resolve was going to lift with me on his school campus, but when we arrived we found out that he had to pay a fee for bringing anyone other than a student to the gym. It was pretty lame. So he worked out by himself and I drove to my good old 24 hour fitness.

dont you just hate little rules and college policies blah

I did work out yesterday. But it was a very bad workout. :P I felt tired, weak, unmotivated. So I did three movements and left.

6x4

BB Flat Bench: 95, 105, 110, 115, 120, 125

5x5

Step Ups: BW+25 lb DBs

Rows: 35, 37.5 x4

My traps and neck area have been really sore, achy and throbbing lately. I'm not exactly sure what has been causing it. I think I may have some kind of illness that is affecting my upper back muscles. I also felt REALLY under recovered yesterday from previous workouts. I just had NO energy, no stamina, nothing. I've increased my protein intake and been calculating better so that I am sure to be getting enough. Also going to increase my BCAA intake.

Today Resolve went into the gym to do some small accessory movements, so I decided to join him. I did a little bit of lifting (more for the fun of it) and I got some cardio in as well:

4x15

Reverse Cable Curls: 50 lbs, 40 x3
DB Hammer Curls: 25 lbs, 20x3
Cable Tricep Extensions: 40 lbs, 30x3
Leg Extensions: 100 lbs x4

20 minutes on stair stepper.

I will be taking a break from all activity tomorrow. Tuesday I hope to be well recovered and feeling back to normal again.

Bummer about that workout. I know exactly what you mean about the weak stamina/fatigued feeling. Hopefully you're not getting sick or anything with those aches. That's usually what it means when I get them. Try loading up on some Vitamin C before anything gets worse!

Off topic: I just had an old buddy call me up and tell me he's living in Dallas now! Ha! He's a pretty stout dude...infact that's what we call him...Stout. He's about 5'9", 230lbs, ~7% bf. I wonder what gym he goes to.

That's great! There is a dude that goes to our 24 hour fitness that meets that description perfectly! :) How old is he?

I am so happy with the way my workout went today. Last week was so crappy, but today was absolutely awesome! I did sooo much better than I had even expected. Bumping up the protein intake definitely helped. I also have started taking ALCAR and PLCAR.

Today's Workout:

8x3

Clean and Press: 95 x2, 100, 105x2, 110, 115x2. I then did 1 additional rep with 120lbs

5x5

Dips: 20x2, 25, 30, 35 lbs

Pull Ups: BW-40 lbs for 1 full set, Negatives for last 4 sets

DB Lunges: 45x2, 47.5x2, 50 lbs

4x16

BB Bicep Curls: 40 lbs, 30 lbs

10 minutes medium intensity on bicycle

C&P and Dips were a PR today! :D

Today is my cheat day. WOW, am I enjoying this! ;) Gonna go do some squats this evening. I am totally looking forward to it...:1244:

Workout:

6x4

Squats: 135, 145, 155x2, 165, 175 lbs

4x6

DB Bench Press: 47.5, 50, 55 lb DBs x2

4x6

DB Step Ups: 35 lb DBs, 32.5 lb DBs x3
supersetted w/ DB Bent Rows: 35 lb DBs, 32.5 lb DBs x3

4x15

DB Hammer Curls w/ 3 sec. Eccentric: 17.5 lb DBs

seven 20 second Sprints

I am finally making progress again! Last week I was struggling with 155 for squats, and today I pushed out 20 more lbs with such better form! I believe I set a DB Bench PR, and I haven't used TWO 35 lb DBs for Step Ups in a VERY long time! :006: Things are definitely going much better.

I've also been feeling much tighter and leaner this past week. Fat loss is kicking in again. The extra protein that I've been taking has made a significant difference as well as adding a Post workout shake into the picture again.

I've come to the conclusion that the best rep range for me to recomp is 3-8. I just see such amazing results all the way around when I stick with this! Adding Sprints is helping me a ton with Fat loss right now too.

That's awesome to hear, BW! I'm happy you're making such great progress. I love the low rep range as well, but it's brutal on my body after a while. Hopefully I'll be able to get back to it in time. This back is very slow to heal. It seems to be getting better, but nowhere close to where it needs to be.

I can imagine how frustrating that is! :( Man, when my traps/neck was sore last week, It was tough to work out!

I'll agree with you there. Since I've been doing the lower reps (1-6) my sessions have been getting better (and it's nice to see strength gains really jump as well). Sprints are amazing in a training programme for fat loss.

Hope it goes well for you, lady! :)

Thanks! It did go well.

Todays workout:

6x4

BB Deadlifts: 185, 195x2, 200, 205x2

5x5
Chin Ups: Body weight only

5x5
DB Split Squats: BW+ 25 lb DBs
supersetted w/ DB Shoulder Press: 32.5, 37.5, 42.5, 45 lbs, 50 lb DBs (only got out 4 reps w/ 50)

3x20 sec sprints/ 10 sec low intensity between
3x20 sec sprints/ 20 sec low intensity between

Deadlift strength is going up. Chin ups were more difficult than I had hoped, but my grip, forearms, biceps and entire back were shot after the Deads I did.

You were too darn quick - you were all done before I even got to the cardio equipment!

I've been doing WAY less movements than you too- it really doesn't take me that long to complete my entire workout. And I was trying to plow through today's. I was friggin' tired by the end!!!!

How did you work out the eating schedule while at work? Do you get multiple breaks? Short shifts? I'm always curious about that. I'm very happy I've found a good method at my job. :D

I was only doing training on a company computer, so I was able to pull my food out while I was taking the class and quizes online. It was nice! :) The managers were all interested in my blueberry/yogurt/protein powder mix. I don't actually start working on the grocery floor until later this week after orientation and all else.

Ah! Well I hope it works out great for you! I'm always worried when starting a new job; I always think I won't be able to get my meals in, but fortunately I haven't really had any problems. I just make sure they see I'm a good worker, and they usually don't mind.

Like at Under Armour, I usually get to the store about 15mins early and eat a meal, then clock in...about 2.5hrs after that, I toss another meal in the microwave and eat that while I'm doing some product processing in the back...2.5-3hrs after that I take my break and slam another meal. Then, when we shut the store down and all the customers leave, I take out another meal and eat that while I'm straightening my section up...I've already earned quite a reputation. - I got to work yesterday and my boss jokingly said, "Alright Scott, grab something to eat. We'll see you in a few minutes."

Haha! Yeah, I don't think it will be such a problem for me to eat. I'm on intermittent fasting right now anyway, so I don't have to eat that many meals. I'll be a cashier, so I'll likely be pretty busy throughout the day. IF makes things more convenient.

Are you able to keep some aminos with you while you're checking customers out?
