Anti catabolic supplements

Hi can anybody recommend supplements which are good at preserving muscle whilst on a cut/ eating less regularly. Life's going to be getting in the way of my set meal times in a few months and I know my body is going to be like why are you not eating at set times anymore? Right that's it I'm going activate survival mode by dropping your muscle and increase that abdominal fat just incase food gets scarce. I won't be in much of a calorie deficit but the disturbance to my meal timings is going to mess up my hard work so I'm looking for anti catabolic supplements. Thanks

MyoSynergy blocks catabolic pathways.

Recomp20 is designed to help build or maintain muscle while losing fat.

MPC-185 and Pepti-Bolic have both anabolic and anti-catabolic properties.

Some of the ingredients in Anabolic XT and Anabolic Effect both have anti-catabolic properties as well.

Thanks for the heads up but it's messing with hormones and I just think that's not for me. If I was considering something like that I'd rather just start pinning testosterone.

B-AET is an interesting hormone. It doesn’t act like an androgen. I had a calm and pleasant demeanor, lowered my blood pressure a bit, slept better, had a libido boost. I ran a log on Neuro-AET on here with more details and had a fantastic run. Did not feel any shutdown or harsh sides when coming off. If you’re avoiding hormones that’s understandable but I wouldn’t put it in the same conversation as testosterone personally.

I like Creatine HCL when I know I’m going to be in a deficit, SNS has great flavors that make it easy to get in daily with some water. And it’s affordable.

Thanks for the info, perhaps I overreacted and I appreciate the further info on B-AET. Creatine messes with my hair unfortunately and my first experience of it was years ago when I was cycling alot to my first job, which leaned me out (all legs) no upper body development, no abs but a very flat stomach, anyway after taking it I developed a paunch below my navel which I've never been able to shift since. Even when I was marathon running and not eating enough it was still there though abit reduced. I can't say for certain it was the creatine ofc but it was the only new variable at the time.

Vacuums 2-3x a week could tighten it up.

This. I had the same thing, not creatine related but just 10 years older and never getting lean enough. I'm currently the leanest I've been in awhile but I attribute at least some of that to doing vacuums. Throughout the day I'll do a vacuum and hold it for 15-20 seconds, I do it 2-3x a day and I think it's made a difference in my abs.

Will check it out, I've got a massive issue with mind muscle connection which makes vacuums difficult. Alot of the founders of bodybuilding used them during the pre steroid era. Was always fascinated by it, I came across some Indian bodybuilders that published a book back then and that led me to the practice of nauli kriya which is the same type of thing but there's instructions on how to build up the practice which I'm going to give a go. Just name dropping the info for anyone struggling with vacuums etc

also ursolic acid seemed to lean me out and held on to more muscle than i normally would eating in a small deficit over a long period of time. I can vouch for Ur spray by prototype nutrition which is a transdermal ursolic arginine acetate that PA created, there is also a transdermal ursolic acid by XPG called ursa gel

Would definitely agree with this statement. I love XPG's Ursa Gel

agreed
ursa gel/ursa major always help me lean out while keeping some muscle

There's plenty of options. Recomp20 , Ursa Gel, Follidrone, formeron , alpha one. Lots of good options on the market.

Agreed! Almost too many too choose from!

I'm a big fan of ursolic acid TD, I thought we had injectable ursolic acid in the works but I've yet to get some to try, I saw very positive effects on body composition with the td. Oral bio is low, TD bio is way higher then oral, but is still on the low side of bioavailability. I think injectable makes it like 5-10x more bioavailabil then TD in this situation and while I wouldn't expect 5-10x the results, even double would be insane for a supplement because the TD is already great. With that being said, I don't wanna pin 7 extra shots a week so TD is probably going to be my choice regardless

Ursa-Bolic, which we hope to have back in stock week after next, is a ursolic acid phytosome and has much better oral bioavailability than regular oral.

ursolic acid has also treated me well when bulking and trying to minimize fat storage
it's good stuff
That's inline with what a human research study reported, on bodybuilders no less. Ursolic seems to be a safe bet both research on humans and usage reports seem to back it up, whereas alot of other stuff has only been trialed on mice/rats/muscle tissues in petri dishes. Doesn't mean they won't work but usage reports help figure things out.

Agreed. Because I'm on a 500 calorie deficit and I want to try them all 🤣
I get that way as well!
I tend to buy more supplements for once a cut is over to try out ha

So I'm testing out some Ursolic acid for a few days just to see if there's any unwanted effects on me, because it's only going to be a week long run to test for any negatives I'm not intending to put a log up, but I feel abit unusually achey not like ill achey more like I've done a good workout that didn't push me too far but enough to elicit a response. Seems to come on a few hours after taking it and It's unusual for me as I usually get proper full on aches or not at all, anybody experienced anything similar on it? I've not noticed any muscle fullness or increased contractibility like with Apigenin.

Top
Nothing like that for me. I did notice better effects on XPG topical vs oral.
Topical is on my list to experiment with closer to summer, for the moment I'm on a minimal bulk and wanted to see if oral ursolic would help tip things in favour of the extra cals going more towards muscle building rather than fat storage. Also I'd be trying it slightly under maintenance calories in a few months to see if it helps preserve gains on a marginal cut. Providing there's no crazy sides ofc on this test run.

Ursolic Acid is not something you're going to see anything from in a week. But I've never heard of anyone having any aches or anything with it.

You're not likely to see much, if any results with regular oral UA anyway.

That's why people usually use it in a topical like Ursa-Gel or a phytosomal like Ursa-Bolic.

Ursolic acid takes at least 2 months for a noticeable effect. Even if you are eating pretty clean. But when it kicks in you will realize what a great tool it is. If you put the time in and be patient you will be rewarded

With all the supplements I try, I do a short test run for any negative side effects, I think that is prudent thing to do. If there's no sides I'm happy to give it a long run.

i did not notice any sides from ursolic acid, its does not seem like it is one of those products you "feel" being on.
