There’s a lot of misunderstanding of human nature in this thread. Let me try to correct it.
Like guys will say that women are interested in guys for their looks. No. Looks may be important – and they can be VERY important for a very young and inexperienced woman – but they aren’t the “alpha and omega” to a more mature woman – someone in her mid to late 20’s.
Men have physical power – women have sexual power.
This is the way it all evolved and it works together perfectly. Women are the child bearers and, as such, they aren’t the best “defenders” nor “providers” – that’s where the physical power of men comes in. Men wouldn’t give a rat’s ass about women if it weren’t for the sex – that’s the basis of our whole attraction to them. We were born ADDICTED to them – they weren’t born ADDICTED to us. The woman has all the sexual power – she decides who it’s with, under what circumstances it’s gonna happen (i.e. “you bought me dinner” or “you wrote me a poem” or “you paid me in cash”). Any power that men think they have in sex – is an illusion and she’s the one putting it on for you.
You’ve got something she needs (security, stability, provider) … and she’s got what you absolutely have to have – and you know damn well what I’m talking about here.
This is a beautiful thing – it’s not something to get upset about – embrace it.
So … when a woman seems interested in a man’s status, his income, his job, etc – that’s nothing to worry about. You need to WORRY about the woman who doesn’t worry about these things.

I disagree.. not all women are like that. But maybe I'm just 1 in a million when it comes to loving somebody for who they are, not how much money they have or their ability to provide.. as long as he's faithful and loves me, I won't leave or be deceitful.

Develop your inner spirit which in turn will give you a natural confidence and aura that people in general will sense and respect.
And over the course of time you will not even have to approach women most of the time, they will start putting forth effort to show interest in you. Probably will have to beat them away with a stick.
Master yourself and life becomes considerably simpler to navigate.

Trust me - your opinions will change in five, ten years. Well, I don't know - you've already have a baby so your reality is kind of set in stone for as long as your current relationship lasts. If it ends though - you'll find your priorities will be heavily rearranged.
I've gone back and forth with this with a retired prostitute I know who has a master's degree and her views are quite enlightening on this subject.
The big problem though, is when women actually "make the catch" and get a guy who is successful and is a great provider. The same things that make him attractive to his new wife makes him attractive to other women - and men are programmed to stray. And, for some reason - women seem to want to own the guy and they don't really realize there's a difference in the way she views sex and he does. She thinks her view is correct but it's no more correct than his and they are both different.
Personally - I don't know why women choose to break up marriages over simple infidelities. For crying out loud - accept that it's going to happen. The important thing is that he comes home to you at the end of the day. You want his heart and mind - who cares if some other chick gets his **** in a one night stand?
Set some basic rules - let him cheat as long as it's not in your face and as long as it's just for simple sex and make a rule that it has to be safe sex and he needs to tell you about it. Groove on it ... Dig it ... Get Off on it when he tells you about it and that ensures he'll always tell you about it.

as of this friday, my wife + I will have been married 17 years. if I found out (whether from her or elsewhere) that while on a business trip or something along those lines she had a 1 night stand, it really wouldn't make a huge difference to me. I'd rather it doesn't happen, but its not like it would end the relationship. Only establishing a new romantic relationship would matter. Sex is mostly happy exercise, sure it can have an emotional component, but doesn't have to. And if it doesn't by itself risk ending our relationship, then big whoop if it happened.

What you didn't say though - is that not only does he lose his son - but he's going to lose a certain amount of his paycheck that you're going to be sure the legal authorities extract for you.
What kind of "contract of love" is this kind of arrangement? Most men cheat ... and most of those men are men who love their wives.
To answer your question, without getting to much into my own relationship's details - YES ... if a woman gave me the option to cheat I'd give her the same deal.
But here's the deal ... I already have experience with this ... women would take that deal only a handful of times ... some would never cheat. Why? Because it's too much trouble for you guys to go out and find a guy to have a simple fling with. When you cheat, IF you cheat - it's almost always for emotional reasons unless there's something sadly wrong with your husband sexually, and that's just not the case in most marriages. Women have no drive to "hunt" or to "conquer" in them - men do. Once women get into a comfortable sexual relationship - they're usually fine with it for a very long time and going out to find another sexual partner seems like work to them. Women also put emotional attachment on sex - so as long as they are emotionally attached to their mate they're very unlikely to stray. I think women tend to "project" their own sexual values on men inappropriately ... i.e. ... "He slept with another woman - he must not love me anymore because I wouldn't sleep with another unless I didn't love him."

But actually - would I mind if my wife DID take the deal and find someone else to sleep with? No, I wouldn't - subject to a few rules - I don't want her sleeping with my boss or any of my buddies. But beyond that - what's the problem? I've been married for almost 30 years and I was very possessive when I first got married - this is a sign of insecurity. At this point in my life - I feel perfectly comfortable that Mrs. Honda could go out and do the nasty with someone else and then come home to me. I'd want all the details too ... and I'd hope she enjoyed it. But that's not Mrs. Honda - cuz all that is a lot of "work" to her and she'd just rather stick with me for the sexual fulfillment. It's fine with me.

I'd also like to add that I don't control him, ever. I don't have his passwords, nor do I have a habit of snooping through his phone.. I didn't trick him into being with me. I'm the same girl now as I was when we first met.. I'm not insecure, if he wants to be unfaithful, I'm not stopping him.. but that doesn't mean I'll be home when he returns.

I look at it this way, if he wants to screw up.. then I can't stop him. If you're a cheater, you're a cheater.. and no amount of manipulating or control will change that.
