Alternatives to protein shakes?

I'm getting tired of drinking a chocolate protein shake every day.

What other suggestions do you have for protein supplementation?

Food (eggs, chicken, beef, pork and fish)

Whole food.

However, I do have a freind that blends grilled chicken breasts with water and drinks that post-workout for convenience. Food for though I s'pose.

ALRI HUMAPRO. I've been using this instead of chocolate whey protein shakes for some time now and its working for me.

Of course this is my protein 'supplement'.. Food is also a major source of protein.

I try to get most of my protein from food sources like cottage cheese, hardboiled eggs, and as mentioned, rotisserie chicken. I'll even take some chicken, pan skillet, crack some eggs on it, and add some cottage cheese if I need a refeed or many calories from protein in one meal.

Alr humapro. X2!!! Diet is always important of course. You never utilize most of the protein in shakes anyway. Most goes in the toilet. Lol. Humapro is the alternative. If not just eat food. In my personal opinion your body uses more of the protein in food versus shakes anyway. Keep in mind that if you do choose humapro you will have to replace those calories from shakes with some complex carbs or good fats.

If you are excreting protein that is a very bad sign for the condition of your body. Your "opinion" is completely false.

i'm currently cutting down on my protein powder intake.....look into NTBM Gear and Humapro combination....so far i like it, however it's only been a week or so

My opinion is completely false??? Wait.. read that again.. hold on ..ill say it slow...Ur body uses the protein in food more efficiently then in shakes. If it were the opposite then most people would solely rely on shakes than eating a ton of whole food. C'mon Son. " Get the f**k outta here with that bullsh*t. My opinion is just that my opinion. If not change your diet to mostly shakes and tell me how ur gains are affected. LOL. But anyway like I was saying. The question was for an alternative and not to try to break down my opinion. My alternative to those shakes just happen to be Humapro. If not just make sure you get in enough whole food.

Just saying "my personal opinion" doesn't mean you can spread false information. And when someone challenges your opinion and asked you what it is based upon, simply saying "hey it's my opinion" isn't a valid counter. All this shows is a level of ignorance and most likely that your opinion is based on fairy tales.

None of my post is in reference to the question of protein powder vs food but in response to your attitude when someone questions "your opinion"

ntbm GEAR and BCAA's would work. however you need to eat a good amount of protein with both of the supps for them to be effective

Not trying to counter. Everyone has an opinion. I like urs.. Y? Doesn't help nor hurt me. No back and forth from me. I stand by my alternative. Humapro , food, or maybe even try a diff flavor of protein. Other than that I'm outta this thread. Peace.

Agreed. Any leakage beyond trace amounts of protein detected through a urinanlysis is a medical issue. For protein to be leaking into your urine, there has to be some degree of nephron damage. The nephrons of the kidneys are far to small to allow protein through.
