Alphamine w/ALA fasted?

I'm two weeks into Alphamine, just added Shift to it and loving it.

Lately I'm training in the AM fasted using Alphamine as my pre workout along with ALCAR, CitMal, Agmatine etc.

I usually take ALCAR w/ some form of ALA when I wake up before breakfast.

My question is, since the Yohimbine extract in Alphamine is most effective when taken not in the presence of insulin, would it be okay to take it with ALA and/or other GDA's?

I do know ALA and other GDA's can mimic insulin, so would they also cause Yohimbine to be ineffective?

You can do do that but chlorogenic acid in alphamine has plenty GDA effects on its own. GDA's induce insulin insensitivity so that you can eat carbohydrates WITHOUT having a spike in both insulin and blood sugar. You are probably going to obtain some GI distress so you might want to east something light 30 minutes after taking alphamine and ALA.

No, ALA and other GDAs act in an insulin-independent fashion. Yohimbine blocks a2 receptors of pancreatic b-cells, leading to disinhibition and increased insulin release. This amplified release of insulin counteracts the lipolytic effects of yohimbine. By taking GDAs, you are reducing the amount of insulin released per gram of carbohydrate ingested (in theory), so it would actually work better with yohimbine. Though the best thing would be to take it fasted as you are doing (note that this includes BCAAs!). Just watch out for hypoglycemia given the plurality of GDAs that you are ingesting in a fasted state (ALCAR and ALA both activate AMPK and translocate GLUT4). I also haven't looked into binding affinities but the a2-agonism of agmatine may abolish the effects of yohimbine on the pancreas if binding affinity and tissue distribution is in place.

This effect of chlorogenic acid was only observed in very high doses (1 gram) and reduced the height of spikes but not the AUC of insulin release. Most of the hypoglycemic action of chlorogenic acid is by blocking the absorption of carbohydrates. However, it too activates AMPK, which along with ALCAR, ALA, and fasting, is some serious AMPK activation lol :D

I just added Slineslane v2 and dosed it 30min before bfast with one scoop of Alphamine. Shouldn't interfere with Eachother correct? A little confused here. Maybe because it's to early to sink it all in lol.

hey keep it simple, I also train fastened and take a fat burner before workout with resveratrol and lclt, creatine and keep gdas to my carb meals just that so I would push ala into my carb up post workout

Nope, SSv2 will potentiate alphamine since banaba is a xanthine oxidade inhibitor. However, consuming an insulinogenic breakfast will negate the yohimbe-bases a2-antagonistic aspects of the product.

Hey Coop, just curious what your recommendation is for a time period between taking Yohimbine (Alphamine) and food? PES guys say 30 minutes is sufficient, but I've generally been waiting a bit longer.

Basically no simple carbs after Alphamine?

As long as possible. One of the metabolites (11-OH) has a HL of 8+ hours. However, 2-3 hours is a safe bet.

Alphamine will still work, just not the a2-antagonism

Thanx cooper. I always eat a banana and two servings of oats. So I'm good.

That many carbs would indeed negate the lipolytic benefits of yohimbe alkaloids.

Oh damn. So I'll take slineslane 30min bfast and about 1.5 hours take my first dose of Alphamine on a empty stomach. Sounds better?

Yes

You could always fast the first 8 hours of the day and take all your alphamine during that time frame

Great response. Thank you Cyrus

No doubt when I dose Vat Attack it has to be 30 minutes before a meal or my blood sugar drops to the floor. I have also taken C.A after meals which has been great for me as it seems to boost the energy I would get from in between session meal.
