Strength is absurdly genetic...it comes to the point of different muscle fiber types and how many of each were you born with...In that sense, training your CNS to recruit more muscle fibers (close to 100% , so an ideal powerlifter) takes years to master...and some people just have a..."pre-installed" predisposition for upper or lower body lifts...it is only human nature that they sometimes (even unconsciously) focus on those areas of strength, and then have to fight the disadvantages of having neglected other things...it is really hard to master the form and "blanking your mind" mind set and letting your body do it instinctively, and with most muscle fiber recruitment...for me it's harder for bench than it is for deadlift :/
