27g+ needles fine?

So I am set to inject with 25's. I want the most least pain possible and it seems 25's are ideal. Though, I was wondering if I can go smaller (27's or smaller?)

The only problem I found was that it will take a lil longer to inject since it's more cc going thru a smaller needle, though I'm a patient guy so I won't mind.

I specifically am aiming for my glutes or even thighs, and the injectable will be test e.
 
I inject with 27g 1.25" in glutes and 29g 0.5" quads and delts no problem. It depends on your gear.

It's a little slow but it doesn't bother me as I inject slowly anyhow.
 
25g and 27g are too small for test enanthate. smallest should be 23g. i use 22g, with almost no pain...just a slight pinch when it pierces skin. I bet $ you wont be able to inject test e with a 27g. Id be really surprised if you did with a 25g.
 
I see myself as a slow injector. I wouldn't mind at all honestly So even 29s huh? You think 29's would be ok for the glutes as well???

I'm asking b/c I've read many many logs of ppl injected test e with 25's as this seems the norm, and even 27's.

Wow. a .5 for the quads?? Does that work ok for you? Iv used a 1" in both delts and quads.
Also most guys I know use a 1.25-1.50 for quads. Just wondering how it is for you.

I have to disagree there. Ive used a 25g 1" for both Enth and cyp with no prob at all and no pain what so ever. that is 300mg E/250 cyp in EO oil and Grape seed oil.

It doesn't matter what type of gear it is (unless it's suspension) as the hormone is dissolved into microscopic particles. So, it makes no sense to say what you can or can't push Test Enanthate through. What matters is the way your source brewed it. For example, if Grapeseed Oil and/or Ethyl Oleate are used it will flow through almost anything.

Yeah, works fine because there is very little fat in those areas.

You might think that if pushing gear through a 25-27g needle is hard, then pushing through a 29g slin pin would be impossible. But, the thing is that the diameter of the plunger in a slin pin is a lot smaller (compared to a standard 3ml syringe) which means you can push the gear out easier since the volume of oil per unit of distance you push is a lot less.

Also, heating the syringe up under some hot water before injecting thins the oil quite a bit making it flow easier.
 
I pin with 23G. Easy in, easy out. I couldn't imagine pinning with 27. Would take too long. And if you are pinning anything other glutes don't use any length less than 1". Or you're only pinning SubQ. You need to penetrate the muscle.

This is what I don't get. What do ppl mean when they take too long? I take it is that it takes longer to push the oil into the muscle. Just tryin to get this cleared up.
 
size needle will depend on the what oils are used most of the time.

EO based gear will go through 25-27g. but i have found that oils containing no EO can go through a 25g.

some oils are just thicker/thinner than others.....id stick with the 25g

Yes....I don't like having needles in my butt more than they have to be. :D

I guess it could be done. But I don't think in terms of pain wise there would be a big diff between a 25 or a 27. I would stick with the 25g.

how much pain are we talkin about anyways? I thought there wasn't supposed to be any at all. That's why i'm stickin w/ the 25's at least instead of 23s:smirk:
 
25g 1 inch is great i use it for my glutes and quads and its painless.. It takes a little longer to inject everything but slow injection is preferable anyway. Drawing with a 25 guage is near impossible though i usually draw with a 20 guage and shoot with the 25

I should not have said "pain" sry. Hope you know what I mean, If you feel a little pinch with a 25, a 27 will not make much more of a diff. You will not end up on the floor twitching. "Unless you hit a nerve" lol.

Bro. Before you decide to pin plz take some time to search for all the info you can out there. Sounds like your nerves might be kicking in.

You don't want to be one of those guys who pinz the first time and starts to black out from anxy. Or one of those guys who tries to pin there glute pull out do to anxy and try it 5 more times before they get it right. "Not that I know anyone who did any of the above." :31:

rsr08 i do remember my first couple of injections all were completely painless. I started of just shooting in my glutes and there was no pain whatsoever. When i use my quads it is a little more sensitive when the needle goes in as compared to my glutes but still relatively painless. Just dont be nervous you dont want your hand shaking when your trying to do your shot. Just remember millions of people have done it its really not a big deal you will be fine. Your a man remember that dont trip on a little needle its not gonna make you cry
 
how many mg's are you planning on? reason being, even if .5 goes im for ya, anything over .7cc it all may squirt right back out cause your not deep enough.

I've gotten over a full ml in with a 1/2 inch into bis or delts.
 
my first cycle i was afraid to use anything bigger then a 25 1inch...the sight of a 23 1 1/2 inch made me nervous. but second cycle i was handed nothing but 23 1 1/2 inch pins..(this was before i started buying my own pins) so had to give them a try and i felt like they went in the muscle alot smoother then the 25. the "pain" was the same as with the 25, however the overall shot was a better experience...so much better that after using the 23's my fear of needles went bye bye and i get pumped everytime its pin time...makes nurses and docs feel a little weird when they see how excited i get..... just saying i think the 23 is a smoother shot, does not increase pain, and may even make u more psychologically more comfortable pinning urself...i pin slow and inject slow....not down with the dart shot
 
also about the pain....no matter what needle size you use you will feel the peircing of the skin. and this is not what i call real pain. its very temporary and after the head of the needle has entered the skin the pain stops...u will not feel it peircing through, more so sliding in..if you can understand that, my suggestion for ur first pin since i know it might take u a few minutes of standing in front of the mirror...select your spot. and gently put ur needle to it...let it gently press there for a while, as ur sitting there contemplating whether or not ur psychologically ready to pin, the needle will make the decision for u and begin sliding into ur glute, just from the gentle pressing, then u will see the pain has stopped and feel comfortable allowing the needle to slide all the way in
 
sorry for the late reply. Thanx uncle ralph for the advice and getting me anxious to start! and bigzach, 29g would be perfect for test e for me! I would DEFINITELY not mind doing 29g at all!!!

One more question: I'm going to order a whatman syringe filter. I was wondering how many would I need? I want to knock out transferring all my test e from the amps in one sitting into 2 vials, so would I only need one filter or what?
 
average whatman filter will take care of 40-100ml of product. But order at least 2 anyhow, you never know what may happen

what do you mean will take care of 40-100ml? You mean it'll last thru 40-100? Or do you mean right after I take up one amp, I can take up up another amp?
 
generally depending on what you are filtering through it, you can get somewhere from 40-100ml through it. you understand the whatman filter is used to push through not pull through right?

Sorry that's what I meant. Sorry for any misunderstanding. I gotcha. So I can just load up a full syringe and push thru all of it into the vial? That's the way that seems to save time
 
yeah, you could get a single 20ml or 30ml syringe and load all the amps into it, and most likely push it thru a single whatman. Always have a spare though just in case. Generally though the whatman seems to work best with a 3ml or 5ml syringe, has to do with how much fluid per inch of syringe travel.

O yea, do whatman filters usually come with needles? And the needles attach the same way onto the filters, correct?
 
no, whatmans don't come with needles. They screw onto a syringe like a needle would, the needle is actually just pressed onto it rather than screwed on

Sorry for asking questions about the filter. It's just I've been lookin and googling for info on it and nothing has come up.

So I would have to purchase any size needle separately? And you just press the needle onto the filter?
 
im pinning .3ml of sust-325 ED for 2.1ml/week sub-q with a 31g slin pin...
works fine.
im injecting .5mg of MT-2 ed so I just swab the syringe after that and then draw out the test and then pin the other side. absolutely zero pain, which is handy cos i train mma every day and couldnt imagine being hit or having pressure on my IM sites.
 
real men use 20G...... 1.5''
 
22g and 1 1/2 is what my trainer rec. Looks alot worse then it feels.

The smallest I use for oil based is 22g.... it'll go through a 25, but I find I tend to wiggle the needle more as I force it through the 25, which hurts and causes more tissue stress than the 22g.

You've done some archaeology work with this thread my friend. But while I'm here...

I use a 27 gauge slin syringe on my oil-based with good results. It takes me about 30 seconds to draw up 0.5 mL and about the same amount of time to inject it.

Go slow and I leave the needle inside for a bit to let oil settle in and remove needle slowly

25 g for quads and glutes for big volumes

Slins for bi, tri, chest, delt and calves.... I found calves to be the best spot for painful compounds like test no eater in oil. I dont know why

Lol.... I did a search for info on filter needles and this popped up... didn't realise how old it is until after I posted *shrugs*
Fyi at first I'd draw out with 18g then switch needles to a 25 to pin..... now I just use 22g for everything

Might try calves for my b12.... that one sucks,,, but it's 2ml.... pretty high volume, compared to what I'm used to
