2010 College Football Season

I just noticed you moved out of ol' Louisiana. Why the move? Not that it was a bad thing, but there is a Cane's on every corner here.

Cane's sauce rules!! My wife could drink it out of the cup.. My 3 year old boy will dip ANYTHING in it!!

I see your in LA too.. What part? I'm here in BR. But, I'm not half as much an LSU fan as I am a MI fan.. Watching the '08 Capitol One Bowl game on the Big 10 Network right now. MI killed FL!!! Awesome game. Tebow didn't know what hit him that day..

Practice season sandwiched between 2 National Championships. But if I were a Wolverine fan I guess I'd have that game on a continuos feed :32:

Seriously, that game was a great send off for Carr. After the game Meyer said he hoped his last team would play as inspired for his last game. Good luck this year. Big 10 really needs a strong MI to become relevant again and I know Rich Rod is on the plank.

rubberring!!!! I introduce to you the factor in the psu/bama match-up

How'd those "Tebow-led" gator's pan out in '06 and '08 again?

Michigan fans should savor that moment, because as a program they can't fight their way out of a paper bag right now...

As for the canes...

I'm not big on Hart. He eliminated AU from his list and cried for two months when he was "misinformed" that Auburn was looking at a couple of other backs. As if he's scared of competition or sharing the carries. Malzahn's offense is all hype, and it will take Auburn three more years to figure out why they can't win the SEC. Ball control and time of possession. If Michigan has any success this season, Hart will be a Michigan man. If he's remotely intelligent, he'll pull out the crimson hat with the cursive "A" when he holds his stupid press conference. Won't phase me either way.

Btw, you have me convinced TAMU will make some serious noise this year.

Hart wants to be the #1. If you thought you were the ****, I dont think youd want to share. He was misinformed since a Bama reporter LIED to him. But his running style and lifts and film show he could be a mccluster type. Of course you say ball control and TOP... I dont think he goes barn either but it would ruin my **** if he did.

And Im not sure how I did that, Im not convinced of it. TAMU is the perenial let down crew. Talent has NEVER been an issue there, atmosphere, facilities, team support has NEVER been a issue there...its coaching. Pure and simple. Theyll lose to Arky again and go downhill from there. 7-8 wins max. Without a change of scenery, they will be the "other school" until they do. Auburn isnt scared of their instate rival at least. And once TAMU is able to get out of the shadow of Texas (by going to a different conference), youll see a nasty ass Texas-A&M rivalry. Keep your eyes peeled around week 4 on that btw...just a hunch, idk if its true. Kirby Smart needs to coach at TAMU. Period.

Cam Newton is referring to Alabama as "the other school."

I'm back, bitches!!!

That's it... I'm leaving this thread.

Dude, I still remember our back-and-forth when I entered the 2008 thread. And now here we are... two SEC nat'l championships later. :bigok:

October 2nd should be epic.

Correction: "They will lose big to Arky again"

I wouldnt go that far. But they will lose. If they win, Ill wonder if the sun will come up in the morning.

He's holding out for Richt's job.

Jan Brady Syndrome. This year's Iron Bowl will look much like the 2008 edition. It won't even be close. True story.

Auburn has gotten nothing but better since then. Convince yourself otherwise, Bama fans are some of the least objective in any game. Dont be surprised if Cam Newton steals your laptop.

And we'll see what happens when the SEC adds TAMU:love::32::box::bigok: :sombrero: :stooges::deal::ntome: They are a program begging for a renaissance. They need a Bobby Bowden. He could definitively be that for them. I also dont think Bill Byrne has too many years left if football keeps losing. If hes allowed to make another **** hire...the streets will burn. He already is widely hated by the TAMU fanbase. The way he touts sports no one cares about and their successes but football is in the worst period in history makes peoples blood boil.

Fall out of love with yourself, padre. "Nothing but better." Really. Really? Not that hard to improve from a 1-6 finish and a 36-0 blowout loss to big brother, but I wouldn't call a 5-SEC-loss record a gigantic leap. In the big scheme of things in the SEC West, Alabama and Arkansas are going one direction, and LSU and AU are going another. That's my objective perspective.

Oh, I would be surprised. In fact, I'd be startled, stupefied, staggered and stunned. Yes, I'm sure his stats will look Heisman-esque after week 6. But then reality will come calling, and they'll drop 4 out of their last 5 SEC games. Outback Bowl-bound. Meanwhile, McElroy will keep quietly winning, while A.J. McCarron patiently waits his turn to break Auburn hearts.

It was Chiz's first season on a team with a total of 18 scholarship defensive players...yeah. How did Sabans first season go? And how did Auburns crooting class go? Im not the only one whose seeing them improving a lot. Herbstreet picked them to play Florida in the SEC championship. McElroy never won, he just never gave the game away. Its not hard to hand off a ball.

Herbie's '09 predictions included Florida being light years ahead of Alabama, and Colt winning the Heisman. Btw, you know who thinks Auburn will continue to disappoint? Pat Dye. When it comes to AU, he's got a lot more credibility than you or Herbstreit.

Apparently, you didn't watch the SEC CG.

Hey, you're a bettin' man. Call Vegas and take Cam Newton to win a nat'l title... nay, an SEC title... during his time at Auburn.

It's been a good time, and hopefully this year will be the best thread yet!

BTW - Where the hell are all the Tennessee fans at? Bring them on!!!

:D

They have a better chance than you, if for nothing else than everyone hates Alabama. Pat Dye is also the guy who ran off Tubberville.

I guess I could say I'm back too.. I'm a "yankee" from Mgoblue.. Anyway, yeah, we know that was our 15 min of fame.. I've been reading some MI blogs, & it looks as though Denard Robinson will be this years starter. Tate Forcier has practically no chance at starting this year due to Robinsons maturity and improvement.

All anybody's been talking/hyping is MI's offense & how good it will be.. Too bad we lost our only returning Senior on D & he broke his leg last week... Swiss Cheese on the D side of the ball this year....

Tell ya what, if RRod doesn't do it this year, he'll be coaching somewhere else next year.. Maybe LSU will tank & they'll get rid of les Miles. RRod can come down here & coach in the SEC.. Not sure we want Les up there in Ann Arbor any more though..

They have a better chance than you, if for nothing else than everyone hates Alabama.

That's objective.

Btw, what team are you a fan of nowadays? I used to think it was Texas.

RRod can come down here & coach in the SEC..

Only if Vanderbilt's hiring. When he spurned Bama to get a payday at WVU, he burned his SEC bridge. Plus, trouble seems to follow that guy almost as much as Kiffin.

Not sure we want Les up there in Ann Arbor any more though..

I'm not sure you do either. Big Blue would be much better off with Harbaugh.

I'm sure his stats will look Heisman-esque after week 6. But then reality will come calling, and they'll drop 4 out of their last 5 SEC games.

I was at the Auburn game last fall in Fayetteville. The Auburn fans talked a ridiculous amount of trash about how bad the Hogs were (blah blah blah). Auburn was 5-0 at that point.

Then the game started.

44-23 Hogs.

Keep hating on LSU. I don't care.

I'm predicting LSU will have the best defense in the SEC in year two of the Chavis system.

SEC Championship here we come!

Dude, that's funny!! LSU will be decent at best this year. Sure Peterson is good, but their QB lacks any kind of leadership abilities.

SEC Championship here we come!

I'm not trying to hate. It's not like LSU isn't very capable of beating Bama, Florida, etc on any given Saturday. I just think "Les is not more" when it comes to their long-term success. When you look at the talent on that team, there's no way they should be picked to finish 3rd or 4th in the SEC West. Let's face it, the NC season was still a 2-loss season... and that's after Miles made a string of gutsy 4th-down decisions and the ball always seemed to bounce the right way for the Tigers. There was a lot of confidence in this "maverick" mentality, until his personnel and time management decisions over the past two years started causing the players and the fanbase to lose that confidence.

When there's that feeling of your HC being on a short leash, it's hard to stay focused on the team goals. At first, they'll play with a chip on their shoulders and kick people in the teeth. I wouldn't be surprised if they pummel North Carolina in Atlanta. But, as soon as Les does something questionable on the sidelines that may/may not cost them a game, the ship will be hard to right.

An SEC and/or BCS title would mean an undefeated or possibly a 1-loss season, and I just don't see a Miles-coached team doing that. But hey... what the hell do I know? (Don't answer that.)

Have a GREAT day!!

LOL, that still cracks me up/pisses me off thinking of that day Les was supposedly leaving LSU for MI, but freaking Herbstreit blew his cover that morning on Gameday. At the time, all of MI wanted Miles up there. Not no more! Lol.

Nothing but hate. :rasp:

I like that no one is giving LSU a chance. It just makes them more dangerous.

I see great things from Michigan this season..10-2/ 9-3????:deal:

I would give them a chance; but they didnt play as well as Penn St did in the "MUD".

Dude, they won't be dangerous.. Trust me.. I live right here in Baton Rouge, & hear all the stuff on the local talk radio... They'll be decent, but not dangerous..

Plenny: you're officially my favorite person on AM!! Lol! yeah, I'd love to see them get at least 9 wins this year. They still have yet to pick a starting QB. All 3 are in the race. The Frosh they have this year is going to be, as Texaswolf puts it, DANGEROUS!!:veryhappy:

So I came across this site. It is called "The 2010 Hater's Guide to the Top 25". It is all about the blind hate that exists in CFB and he roasts every ranked team. See the link at the bottom for the full read (oh my god it is worth reading). I took the liberty of pasting the roasts of our teams (well those of us who are ranked....*cough no Notre Dame or Michigan cough*).

1. Alabama: Oh hey, look who's numero uno. It's Orange Satan and his little fiefdom of tardbilly mouthbreathers. I liked the Tide much better back in the old days, when Mike DuBose was bending receptionists over his desk. I don't need the state of Alabama to have any pride whatsoever. They should never be allowed to feel good about themselves. What the **** do you half-human mongoloid overall-wearing chimps have to be proud of? Congrats, your team finally won another title last year. That means you are now one year closer to Nick Saban bolting for Michigan and leaving you to pick up the pieces of your pathetic, awful, and empty lives, the kind of pointless existence that makes membership in the Aryan Nation all but an inevitability. And you know Bear Bryant? He's still ****ing DEAD. Super dead. Forever. Alabama is America's ass hair.

2. Ohio State: Oh, sweet ****ing Jesus, you people again? Haven't you people pissed away enough titles? Shouldn't you be banished to NAIA so that we don't have to see you lose the national title by 47 points to an SEC team? It's because of YOU that people from the South are actually starting to feel good about themselves again. That is crap. I've been to Columbus. It's the kind of place no one would ever live voluntarily. You either live there because you can't afford to live anywhere else, or because the judge put a travel restriction on your DUI probation. Tear the roof off a ****ing Houlihan's, expand the size of it to 50 square miles, and that's Columbus. Just one big generic pile of ****. They should have just named it "City."

4. Florida: I actually bear no ill will to you, Florida. I hope you have a fine season, until October comes around and it's the fourth quarter of a tight game and Urban Meyer's head ****ing BLOWS UP all over the sideline. Just a massive explosion that shatters his whole head, sending out little globs of brain and blood all over the Dazzlers. Then the replay gets on the web and they have to interview Tebow at Denver Bronco headquarters and he's all crying and **** because Urban was like a Dad to him and he's saying it's okay because he's home with Jesus now and GAHHH HE SHOULD HAVE JUST QUIT! BUT NOW HE'S DEAD! WHAT WILL HIS KIDS DO NOW? GAHHHHHH!

So I'm looking forward to that. Also, you are pussies.

5. Texas: Oh, you Austinites. So goddamn pleased with yourselves. Ooh, loogit us! We have indie movies and indie music and indie food carts and indie pencils! You know what? I don't like indie things. I don't like Animal Collective. I saw Half Nelson, and it was a piece of ****. I like movies and songs that look and sound like they cost more than four dollars to make. And if they come hipster-free, then all the better. You people are the ****ing Williamsburg of Texas, and that isn't a compliment. Though I do like that Sam Acho. It's like his last name is a suffix for all good Latino things: macho, nacho, muchacho, Comacho, borracho… Great name. But you are still ASS.

13. Miami (FL): Just a reminder of the delightful folks who cheer on the Hurricanes, i.e., Jewish people from Long Island who believe rooting for the Hurricanes somehow makes them black gangsters. From reader Torch Ramrod:
Invalid Link Removed
Yep, he's a Cane through and through. Thirty bucks says that guy has never seen the inside of the Orange Bowl.

17. Arkansas: Good Lord, Bobby Petrino is the sleaziest bag of **** to ever walk the Earth. He's like the white Isiah Thomas.

19. Penn State: Listen, I don't wanna say mean things about Joe Paterno. He's a national treasure and a sweet old man. But he's gonna poop himself on the sidelines this year. He is. Someone will ask him over the headset if he's happy with the defensive formation and he's not gonna hear them because he'll be too busy unloading into the cheesecloth he wrapped around his Jockeys. Then he'll have to stay still the entire half so that no one will know, with poop running down his gimpy old leg the whole time. Then he's gonna go into the locker room and be like, URRGH I **** MYSELF AGAIN, BOYS! Then they'll have to wipe him off and wheel him back out. I don't want that to happen. It's not right. Let the man go out with dignity. Cut his oxygen tank tube.

21. LSU: We should revoke their 2007 title. I know they beat Ohio State, but that shouldn't even count. That is the ****tiest national title team ever. Oh, and YOU ARE RAYCESSSSS.

22. Auburn: No one cares. Bama will plow you like Charlie Sheen's third escort of the evening.

For the rest of the teams, check out:

LOL. Awesome.

I'm starting to get nervous ticks like a crack head counting down this final week until college football kicks off.

Do i believe Bama will win? probably....by 24? no F'n way. I believe after that game you will have a new respect for Penn State.

Ingram just had knee surgery and will miss the first 2-4 games. Dareus is likely out as well. So, both the offensive and defensive MVPs from the BCS title game will MIA when Penn State strolls into T-town. Man... this changes everything.

Bama by 20.

 It certainly doesn't help to have players of that caliber out of action but Bama has a ton of talented guys waiting to step in and play.
Two days until my beloved Buckeyes kick off their season against the Thundering Herd of Marshal at the Shoe. I'm giddy like a school girl!:love:
