2 DAYS ON RECREATE/PWFULL/AP-feeling like an alpha FE-MALE !!!

I'd actually like to start incorporating burn-out sets of Squats on the Smith Machine. It by no means would be a replacement for regular Squats, but just something to throw in a leg workout once in a while on top of my normal lifts. You can actually do some cool stuff with Smith Machines.

:slap: That's not what I meant. I mean regular working sets on the smith machine instead of free weight. Defeats half the purpose of a squat - being core training.

DAY 166

:wall:

DRAGONFLY TO AM....ANYBODY ?! I thought I'd give you guys a break from myself ! :o

* There is only so long you can beat your body repeatedly before it all backfires on ya Invalid Link Removed

* There is also only one way to avoid that and NO, you can’t get it from NP ! :p

* Has the DRAGON fallen ? Invalid Link Removed

... :fool2: NOOOOOOOOO WAAAAAAAAAAAAY !!!!

* The DRAGON HAD BEEN TRAINING HARDER THAN EVER BEFORE and so it also HAD TO REST HARDER THAN EVER BEFORE (hence the temporary shutdown of this log) ! ;)

SOOO WHAT HAS BEEN NEW ?Invalid Link Removed

SUPPLEMENT UPDATES: Invalid Link Removed

* The estrogen issue has been responding to my detox therapy amazingly well Invalid Link Removed Essentially I’ve continued the program that I’ve already outlined before : Invalid Link Removed

* I’m still:

1) Period free Invalid Link Removed
2) Free of bloating & fluid retention :D
3) EXTREMELY aggressive in the weight room Invalid Link Removed
4) Leaning out a LOT
5) Increasing strength & endurance

*I am also:

6) Pimple free :p
7) Invalid Link Removed…HAHA, sorry to disappoint but facial hair pattern has remained very female-like

* ALL ^^ by simply suppressing estrogen. I was planning on running Anabolic Edge+Activate Xtreme + Prime + PWFULL as of this week but I've changed my mind. I'm really happy with how things are going with detox & estrogen suppression on their own so I’ve decided to stick with what works… for the time being ;) I’ m training extra hard for a VERY SPECIAL REASON and I’ve got just over two weeks left to get myself in a best shape EVER :D

* The only slight deviation from the detox was inclusion of 2PWFull pre- bed on training days (4-5/week). I’ve been doing this for over 10 days without any sides. I’ve noticed once I got off PWFULL, healing and recovery were decreased a lot Invalid Link Removed

* Also, been back on Recreate (2 morning / 1 preWO) and Y-RD (1-2 preWO) on lifting days.

DIET CHANGES: Invalid Link Removed

1) TOTALLY digging the moderate carb/lower fat approach

2) I’ve increased meal frequency at the expense of meal size – 6x/ day instead of 5x/day.

* The extra meal is lean protein+fibrous carbs. In general, I’ve increased both fibrous and complex carbs in my diet and in that respect, I believe there is some truth behind:

a) negative calorie impact of certain foods

No food is actually "negative calorie" food. BUT the overall effect of certain foods in our body is that of "negative calories". Negative calorie foods are foods, which use more calories to digest than the calories the foods actually contain!

Invalid Link Removed

Some further expansion of this theory… as some of you probably know, proteins (from whole sources, NOT powders) and complex carbs have much higher thermic effect than fats and that is another reason why increasing complex carbs at the expense of some fat is in fact beneficial for fat loss.

b) importance of maintaining slightly alkaline conditions in your body for optimal function (green veggies contribute to that and that is why I started eating greenz even with my protein shakes (usually cucumber in that particular case :fool2:  ) Proteins tend to be very acidic, cucumber is mostly water, not much fibre and so it doesn't mess up nutrient absorption, this is obviously very important post WO; it still gives a very STRONG alkaline effect)

* I the sceptic scientist  am quite convinced that these two changes have made the most dramatic impact on my fat loss. I’ve been dropping some real stubborn mud of late, much to my own disbelief !!! Invalid Link Removed

* Also, my metabolism has been jacked up by this approach Invalid Link Removed to the point I feel no need for excessive stimulant use. I’ve been also sleeping so much better, FINALLY !!!Invalid Link Removed….particularly in the last week. Still takes awhile to fall asleep but once I’m there I’m dead to the world.

TRAINING UPDATES: :clean:

* Now, that is the most exciting part Invalid Link Removed

* OK, after a long period of strength routines my CNS & muscles have both been programmed to rest after 6-8 reps, so it was about time to shock them ! I’ve basically switched to higher volume/lover weight routines and I’ve been running these for over two weeks.

BASIC OUTLINES:

* Back/shoulders and legs are trained for two consecutive days (to make sure no muscle fibre survives Invalid Link Removed )

* Volume is EXTREMELY :fool2: high: 20- 24 sets per body part, reps are in the 10-20 range and 95% of the time rest between sets and supersets is next to nothing (45secs max).

DAY 1&2 : BACK&SH
DAY 3: CARDIO
DAY 4: BENCH, BIS,TRIS
DAY 5: REST
DAY 6&7 : LEGS
DAY 8: REST
DAY 9: CARDIO

* REPEAT CYCLE (I need at least two days between legs & back 'cause I'm be doing deads on both :D)

* Reasons I don't have 2 days for Bench, Bis&Tris:

1. I don't want to develop Pecs at the expense of my breasts
2. Bis & Tris get indirectly worked out on Back&Sh days

************************************************
EXAMPLES:

DAY 1

1. CG Pulldown sups
2. Miltary

3. Rope Crunches sups
4. Deads sups
5. Plate Front Raises sups
6. Front DB raises

7. WG Lat Pulldowns sups
8. Upright EZ-bar rows

DAY 2

1. DB Jabs on Decline
2. Pendlay Rows

3. Front Cable row sups
4. Cleans&Presses sups
5. DB Laterals

DAY 4

1. Bench Press sups
2. BB Bicep Curls

3. Narrow Grip Ez-bar Press sups
4. Hammer Curls

5. Unilateral Cable Bi Curls sups
6. Unilateral Cable Tri Pulldowns

Will be throwing Chins&Dips in here

DAY 6

1. Walking DB Lunges
2. Smith Lunges
3. Deads

4. Jumping DB Squats sups
5. Leg Curls

DAY 7

1. ATG Squats
2. DB Squats on disc
4. Unilateral Leg Press or Leg Extensions
3. Smith Sumo Squats (forward stance- feet in front of the bar)

* I’ve completed 2 cycles of this madness ^^ and I can safely it is by far the hardest training program I've ever put myself through. Couple of times I nearly BLACKED OUT ! Invalid Link Removed

* Consecutive days of back & leg demolitions are particularly brutal Invalid Link Removed I literally have to lay down on the floor for 20min to recover postWO cos’ my energy becomes comparable to that of a canned vegetable

* However, insanity is the only way for me to make progress 'cause my body seems to adapt so quickly to torture it is scary !!!! Invalid Link Removed So far it has been great, weight and reps have increased on all major exercises ;)

* One thing that has been of great help in training performance is my TURBO intraWO mix:

AP + P-slin + GlycerGrow + Creatine + Dextrose + BCAA + Glut + BA + SWELL . Essentially same as outlined previously Invalid Link Removed

BUT, I increased GlycerGrow to 6 scoops and almost doubled the Creatine/Dextrose mix :D

* With the high volume training that I'm doing currently, this combo is a rocket ! Invalid Link Removed
The pumps are absolutely RIDICULOUS !!! Invalid Link Removed

I was wondering where you've been.

Your alkaline comments are WAAAAYYY underrated. That's actually a huge proponent of what my momma helps her clients with. She sends me all sorts of Buffer PH tabs and green pills. She's definitely a huge Timber supporter when it comes to overall health.

Also good to hear you don't have a moustache...

Curious as to this "VERY SPECIAL" thing. Is Christian Bale coming to Australia?

That guys a loser. I HOPE that's not the "very special" thing. I would think Dr.Agonfly has better taste than that. Have you heard his recent blow-up? That dude deserves a face-slam on the concrete.

Haha, I remain a Christian Bale fan... As big of a dickhead as he is, I feel like I'd do similar things in his situation.

Also, from a BBing perspective... I think his build in American Psycho would probably be the second most envied lean build of any actor... Second only to Brad Pitt in Fight Club.

Is it gay that before I finished reading your sentence I was already thinking Brad Pitt?

wondered what devious regimes you had brewing DF. . . Good to see you back :biglaugh:

I agree with Timbers: alkaline foods are the shizzz and have helped me out with my dextox as well. :bandit: Spirulina Baby! :bandit:

After reading one of your posts on how Christian Bale morphed his body from American Psycho lean/muscular to human skeleton in The Machinest (Sp?), I checked that movie out, and wow, he looked like he caught AIDS to achieve such a famished look.

Yeah man... Pretty incredible. Giving up all that meat for a movie role probably set him back a couple years of training.

I hear AIDs is the latest fatloss trend in Hollywood these days :toofunny:

Pitt looked better in Troy than any other film I've seen him in. He actually had some good size. It's too bad he's lost it.

I don't quite remember Bale's look in American Psycho. That movie was horrible as in I didn't feel like I should be watching it so I turned it off about 30mins into it.

I was wondering where you've been.

HAHA ! I just didn't want to give a HUUUUUGELY DETAILED POST on that topic :p BUT yeah, I'm buying it BIG TIME Invalid Link Removed You are lucky your mum is into that ! Any chance of sending some pills to Aus ? :o

It is great to be back JKP, I missed my den and all of you guys :)

I know you are a big fan of Spirulina...and beetroot :D I'm sooo glad I'm not the only healthy freak around here :woohoo:

Speaking of which, some interesting info...oh nooooo :pat:, here I go again !Invalid Link Removed

Spirulina Protein

Spirulina is one of the great super foods. It is approximately 65 to 71 percent complete protein in its natural state. This is higher than virtually any other unprocessed food. (Note: whey protein, for example, has to be extracted and concentrated from dairy to reach higher levels.) And unlike most other forms of protein, the protein in spirulina is 85-95% digestible; again, one of the highest levels available. And finally, since spirulina has no cellulose in its cell walls, it is extremely easy for the body to break it down. In fact, its amino acids are delivered to the body for almost instant absorption.

So what's wrong with spirulina as a protein source? First, it's not inexpensive. Blue green algae (a specialized version of spirulina) runs $40-80 a lb. Generic spirulina runs $15-40 a lb. But $15 a lb would not be too much to pay for a high quality protein source, except for the taste -- somewhere between seaweed and grass. In small amounts, 1-4 grams a day in capsule form, it's easy enough to take. But if you're an athlete or bodybuilder or someone looking to recover from injury or illness and looking for 70-200 mg a day of protein, eating that much seaweed and grass could be tough for most people to manage.

And finally, about 30% of the worlds' population can't handle spirulina -- being either allergic to it, or suffering from toxins present in the spirulina that may have been absorbed from the water (such as Klamath Lake) in which the spirulina is grown.

True about the taste :puke: However, it is a little price to pay compared to its benefits :)

The whole article has some good comparisons between different types of proteins:

...... AHHH ! One other thing, I think the culprit for the excess Test that was getting converted into Est was actually homeopathic DHEA that I was using at the time when I was experiencing all those sides. The thing really rang the bell when Irish mentioned he didn't know what else was there in my supp stack in addition to the mentioned stuff. Well, I somehow omitted mentioning DHEA :sad6:

THANKS Cannon :)

OH, and TL, as to what the "SPECIAL THING" is, I'm keeping Invalid Link Removed, for now ;) It is kind of a secret treasure of mine :D

HAHA, so have I ! Care to share JKP ?

Anabolic Pump for starters. . .food-wise I hate tuna as well, but I eat it. On it's own it's like eating Whiskers (and smelling like it afterwards...) :bandit:

The best way to deal with it is to disguise it. Here's my recipe:

1 cup of brown rice
1 cup of wild rice
500g white tuna in spring water
1 chopped spring onion
1 chopped red capsicum
A bunch of fine chopped garlic (the key!)
A bunch of fine chopped italian parlsey
2 tablespoons of olive oil
Freshly squeezed lemon juice

- cheap clean bulking food choca-full of your VMAs!

Throw this into a large tupperware container - you should get a good three feeds out if it, and it will last in the fridge for the working week.

True, tuna is not very exciting on its own, but garlic does disguise everything, not just when it comes to taste ! Invalid Link Removed
I still love it! :o

Great Minds think alike Cannons  - looks like you've been spreading your GlycerGro recipe around - and to think I nearly flushed that down the toilet! :bandit:

That would have been blasphemous !

I've considered running a T-911 log. I enjoy running logs, but I'm not sure I've gotten over my logdrenal fatigue yet. That said, I've already been considering it before you even mentioned it.

Yeah, I'm thinking of one as well .

. . I pretty much take the same supps, so there's no point doing the same old thing again. . . Maybe a training/diet one.

Don't think I could ever compete on the icon front though :bandit:

You seem to  the :bandit: a LOT, is it some kind of a new signature of yours JKP ? :poke::lmao:

It's not sustainable IMO . . . I tapered down to about 600mg. Sure was fun at the time! If I substituted dex/WMS for some sort of juice it may be appealing. . . . :grouphug:

It just seems like crap. Nobody needs that many carbohydrates in that form. Not to mention, 400mg of P-Slin is supposed to work up to 120g/C. Why on earth do people need to take 800mg for 150g/C? I like some of USP's stuff, but it just seems like a way to get people to take more of the product.

Since we're discussing food, or at least kind of discussing it. Me personally, I CANNOT stand the taste of Wheat Pasta, it literally makes me dry heave, so I've been off the pasta ever since my cut started. However, I found this pasta that is "wheat free" and is made from Brown Rice & water. The stuff tastes fantastic. It takes a bit longer to boil then regular pasta, but its about 75% as good as regular pasta and about 200% better then Wheat Pasta, IMO. I know Irish loves his wheat.

I this stuff at my local Trader Joe's, which is just a Southern California organic, whole foods store. I highly recommend this stuff.

Uh, you need to re-watch American Psycho.. That movie is the proverbial sh*t.

That's really funny dude. I actually like wheat pasta better than standard white pasta. I really like the texture.

I don't mind violent films so much, but when some dude is screwing a prostitute and decides to bash her head in in the process, I don't feel so great about watching that.

Fair enough. I don't really see it as a morals and values issue unless you are the one screwing said prostitute.

Honestly, I used to view it the same way, but I realized that when I let that stuff in my head, I became desensitized to the entire issue. When you surround yourself with certain things, it all becomes normal, and you don't see the effect it has on you.

I know it's just a movie, and you, among others think I'm taking it too far, but for me, it's the best decision. And I know you're just playing around, bro. I'm not upset or anything. I've heard this stuff my entire life. It just kind of rolls off. You my boy, blue.

It's more about taking a larger dose to manage a larger amount of CHO over an extended period of time - not in one sitting.

If I was going to use this amount, I would have 90g CHO (WMS/DEX) in a shake and start sipping 30min PreWO (20%) - continue sipping (60%) intraWO then knock the rest back(20%). Remember that the P-SLin is in shake and ingested over a 90min window.

By the end of your workout, your body would have used a % of the simple CHO however is still primed to accept more (weight dependant) throughout the day - it's the next two meals that can still have a significant amount of CHO (for me 40g 1hr postWO complex) then again 2-2.5hr postWO complex)

. . .but I only reserve this protocol for CNS-taxing heavy-arse strength work, which cycles around every 4 months for me. :bandit: It's aimed at intraWO and postWO recovery. And it works (for me!):biglaugh:

Cool. Yeah, didn't mean to offend. I tend to say pretty much everything in my head - for better or worse.
