Solid... I'm cutting back to about 75-100g of complex carbs a day... along with 2 bananas, and about 8 oz of Milk...

Contimplating when or if I will need a carb up. I feel OK so far, just HUUNNNNGGRRYYYY at night.

How are you? Thought id drop by and see how you are?

Great workout as usual, Dfly! Excellent progress...That's so weird you go hypo all the time. I've only experienced this a few times...I did almost pass out today, though. I was finishing up with some Donkey Calf Raises and in between a set I went to hang on the pull up bar to stretch out and crack my back and I just about fell off the bar in a daze. Fortunately I focused on a spot in the mirror I it didn't come to that.

I don't "normally" go hypo either, however, on this full body, massive compound routine, I've gone hypo toward the end of my last 2 (of 3) workouts.

Maybe it's simply the massive glucose demand of combining all those massive lifts, because you're not just firing working muscle, but stabilizers of all sorts and a ton of co-contraction throughout the balance all of that ROM.

Perfect Carb that sucka!

Some awesome workouts there Dfly! How long out of curiosity does it take to write out those workouts with all those gifs?

I feel you on the gluten intolerance. I am not even gluten intolerant. I have a gluten allergy. Absolutely no gluten for me period! :( I miss out on a lot of good stuff :food:

HAHA....errr, I did fell off a pull up bar once....cause it was actually a squat bar raised high....don't ask why I was hanging off that Invalid Link Removed....the bar came down with me and smacked me on the head !

I think that is exactly what is causing it. I've been doing nothing BUT compound lifts for the last 6 weeks. Never before have I experienced such debilitating hypo nor in that frequency Invalid Link RemovedInvalid Link RemovedInvalid Link RemovedInvalid Link RemovedInvalid Link RemovedInvalid Link Removed

NOT AS LONG AS IT USED TO ! :icon_lol:

Practice makes perfect ;)

I feel you on the gluten intolerance. I am not even gluten intolerant. I have a gluten allergy. Absolutely no gluten for me period! :( I miss out on a lot of good stuff :food:

I know, it is horrible !!! I don't even crave stuff that most people do, like breads or pasta, all I wish for is to be able to eat plain old-fashioned oats without getting stomach cramps, bloating and acne ! :aargh:

i love quinoa....thats a superfood right there! You dont see many people using it though....

So true, I still like oats better ! Invalid Link Removed

I did some research on it and apparently, quinoa was used to sustain Incan armies, which frequently marched for many days eating a mixture of quinoa and fat, known as "war balls."

Subbing! another superb thread.

Nice AVI and welcome :wave2:

Thanks for reminding me ! Must resist... Invalid Link Removed

Usually some nuts do the trick for me... but I can never have only a FEW :o
Sounds familiar TL ? ;)

How are you? Thought id drop by and see how you are?

Nice to see you Russian, think I'll have to revisit your logs for some crazy workout ideas :)

....Invalid Link Removed
that's how I am today cause it is a rest day, how BOOOORING !

Yes, certainly sounds familiar. I've become more structured in my raw cashew eating. I just have to not bring the bag over to the couch with me.

By the way, have you ever run into brown rice pasta? It's not bad - and could give you a little bit of that texture without the gluten.. Of course if you don't dig pasta, its not a big deal. I rarely crave the stuff, but when I do - nothing beats a half pound of ground turkey in some pasta sauce over a nice bowl of steaming hot penne with some cheese on top.

Oh baby. :hump:

Exactly the same here. I just want me some oats! :sad2:
Gosh guys... didn't you know?! I love me some nuts...

Oh, I see where you're going with this. :28:
 whata sport

HAHA, you are better than me. I must NOT have them in the house ! Invalid Link Removed

Haven't tried rice pasta, but I tried some other non-gluten varieties.... I still want me some oats !!! Invalid Link Removed

Ummmmm..... hmmmmm.... that... is.... what.... she.... **wait for it**.... SAID!

Adams

Timber, is there something you're not telling us about yourself?

Oh, and, that's what she said.

They did know but they chose to ignore it, that issue had already been debated in this thread :p

WEEK 7

SUPERSET 1

1. Chin-Ups
2. Bench Press

7 sets

SUPERSET 2

1. Dips
2. Deadlifts

8 sets

* I had an uber Invalid Link Removed day at work so my mind just wasn't with weights today.

* Numbers were comparable to last week except I did more dropsets. Still hit 105lb on the bench, kind of in disbelief :D Chinups probably felt the best which was weird 'cause they usually suck the most

* So the BIS saved the day :biglaugh:

105 on bench nice

keepup the good work dragonfly

:wave2: Will do me best Nycste, here's how :) :

WEEK7 - MASS DESTRUCTION CONT.

*Deadlifts are by far the best warmup for Squats :D I figured out that theory back in the days when I used to superset the two :fool2: Today I perfected my :fool2: theory  :

* So, a slight deviation from my usual BB Lunges & Sumo Squats workout (that will come later in the week because I decided to give my legs special attention Invalid Link Removed

* Deadlifts for two consecutive days ... who does that ?! :wtf1: :p

* Well I was kind of unhappy yesterday :ntome: and that affected my workout. Today I was sooo in the mood, muscle-mind connection was AMAZING and I thought, what the hell, lets KILL IT !!!!
000201AD.gif

* I wanted to go high volume with deads, started off really light and gradually progressed. That approach for me is the only one that gives best results (I don’t care what people say about supposedly wasting energy on warm-ups, better that than crack your back !)... providing that I stretch A LOT to begin with. Why ? Because I’m one of those individuals who wakes up every day as stiff as a broomstick (due to a history of lower back injuries as most of you know). I couldn’t deadlift a shoe in the morning simply ‘cause I’m unable to reach that far down !

* I seriously didn’t expect to hit 171lb on squats  I have not come near 171lb in the last 7 weeks. Most I did was 140ish on sumo squats. Point being, my back always gives up before my legs do  Invalid Link Removed Not today... came 154lb back was still screaming for more...so did the legs ! And so it was, 171lb for 6 reps. After that dropping back to 154lb seemed almost an unworthy cool-down. TOO EEEEASY Invalid Link Removed

HAHA ! I believe you ! Besides, racking up 400lb is a workout on its own :D

....one of the reasons why I stopped doing leg presses, too much work to set them up

Thankfully I have a partner for those, but THAT gets tedious. We start with 2 per side, then go up to 6 or 7 per side - depending how frisky we feel on that certain day.

Those are some great looking sets, Dfly! I unfortunately know what you mean about lower back stiffness in the morning now. Right now, I can't bend down at all when I wake up. Much better later in the day, though. I should start doing stretches in the morning like you do, but I don't know of any. Haha.

How convenient IRISH ! :stups: :p

My apologies for the temporary shutdown....work has been CRAZY & STRESSFUL and hence my abstinence from AM :(

WEEK 8

* Didn’t manage to squeeze my second leg wo at the end of week 7....

.... however, today at the beginning of WEEK 8, I made it monumental ;)

* Hitting 176lb (80kg) on BB Lunges was UNBELIEVABLE !!! Invalid Link Removed

* I remember when I first started doing free BB lunges several months ago... it all followed the toughest decision I ever had to make in the weight room: divorcing from the Smith machine Invalid Link Removed...see balance was not my strength, I could hardly manage a 40lb bar with 2x10lb plates on either side :ntome:

* Prime+AX+AE synergy was out of this world today. I simply felt no pain as I kept stacking more plates on. The extent to which I enjoyed the workout was almost disturbing :fool2: Not even my “friend” (whom I obviously didn’t end up eating for breakfast ) made any comments about me seemingly pushing too hard ! I was actually very nice to him this time when we started chatting  The workout put me in such a GREAT mood that it suppressed the ALPHA DRAGON instinct

If I read this out of context.... I might be blushing right now. :ntome:

WEEK 8

* I cannot believe that after 8 weeks I’m still working out according to the same scheme  I mean, am I not the Queen of Inconsistencies and Improvisations ?!!!! :fool2: ...Well one thing was out of ordinary today...I got next to zero sleep last night Invalid Link Removed Too much noise in the neighbourhood :( :( :(
* I felt trashed the whole day Invalid Link Removed but still made it to the gym somehow :dunno:
* As soon as I popped Prime+AX+AE (10 min before workout) I forgot all about being tired Invalid Link Removed

SUPERSET 1

1. Chin-Ups
2. Bench Press

SUPERSET 2

1. Dips
2. Deadlifts

* I’ve given it all today, to the BENCH :D

* I’VE HIT MY MILESTONE !!!! FINALLY, I CAN BENCH 50KG OR 110LB :woohoo:

* Dips were absolutely pathetic tho

...Great workout DFLY! Nice job on the bench. Congrats on dat der milestone.

Congrats on the milestone!!! I love milestones.

Thanks guys, milestones are awesome :biglaugh: Invalid Link Removed

I honestly have no idea how many dips I can do... because I'm always fried by the time I get there.

Same here, I need to change the order of these exercises, ever since my bench went up the dips have been in steady decline....come to think of it, I need to change the whole routine....seriously , been doing it for way too long Invalid Link Removed
