Haiz - Rebuilding With Purple Wraath and Green Magnitude

Well folks, the time is here for another log. I had gyno surgery on july 26th and my doctor has given me the ok to start lifting full body again, so this log is pretty special to me. I've never been more excited to hit the gym. I missed it every single day I was gone. I have managed to stay in decent shape, but I lost about 10 pounds during my time off. I am hoping that I can get back to my former self by the end of this log.

Training

My workouts during this log will be random at first, as I work lightly back into doing full chest exercises, but after a couple of weeks, I will be starting something like a push/pull twice a week. I'll write out the specific program when I start doing it. For now though, I am just going light in pushing exercises until I feel 100%.

Nutrition

Meal 1: 2 Eggs + 1 Cup of Oats + 1.25 Scoops of ON Whey

Meal 2: Chunk Lite Tuna Sandwhich on Sprouted Grain Bread, with Fat Free Nayomaise, lettuce, and tomatoes. Washed all down with 2 Cups of 1 % Milk.

Meal 3 (Pre-WO): 1 Cup of Oats with 2 Scoops Egg/Whey Blend

Post-WO: 2/3 Cup Nonfat Dry Milk (Same as 2 cups wet)+ 1 Scoop of whey.

Meal 4 (1 Hour PWO): 8 Ounces Veggie, 1 Cup Beans (black or pinto), 8oz lean protein (usually chicken), 1 Cup of Milk.

Meal 5: 8 Ounces Veggie, 8oz Lean Protein, Almonds, 1 Cup of Milk.

Meal 6 (Pre-Bed): 1/2 cup cottage cheese with 1 TBLS PB. 1 Cup of Milk with .5 scoop of muscle milk.

Initial Impressions


Taste - GM: 10/10 PW: 10/10

Honestly...WOW! The electric lemonade GreenMAG is SUPERB. Very nice tasting. I mixed it with 24 ounces of ice cold water and it was a joy to drink.

When PW came out, I used 3 tubs of the first version. Needless to say, I liked the effects, but the taste wasn't the greatest. Well, Version Three is liquid candy folds. Hands down the best tasting grape supplement/drink I have tasted. 2 Scoops in 80 Ounces of Cold Water is delicious.

Mixibility - GM: 10/10 PW: 9/10

Honestly, I don't know why people complain about the mixibility of PW. I put everything in my jug with Ice Cold water, shook it for 30 seconds and then let it sit for 30 seconds. PERFECT.

GreenMAG mixes instantly and very easily.

Strength: N/A

Its a little early to give this a rating. Strength was way down, but Intensity was way up. Squats felt a bit weird in my right glute, so I went really light and kept perfect ATG form.

Goblet Squats (Thats what I call them. You hold a dumbbell in front of you like a cup/goblet. Then you squat away) were good. Short rest periods between everything.

The high rep Hack Squats Supersetted with calves was killer, but I loved it. High reps today, so nothing great in the way of strength though.

Endurance: 9/10

There was a very pronounced effect on performance today. Time to fatigue was greatly delayed and I was always able to pump out a couple extra reps. Thats to be expected with the combo of EAA's + BA + CM though!

Other

I was always a fan of PW for getting me going in the gym. I am laying off of the caffeine for a month or two here, so I really like that the PW has a nice energizing effect on me, without the inclusion of stimulants. Very nice.

Strength: 6/10

Talk about the definition of weak...I had no idea my lifts would go down this much. To give you a comparison, pre-surgery, my DB Shoulder Presses were 65X5. Pretty Humbling to do 35X8. Chest was taken very lightly. It felt good and I can already feel the soreness...

Endurance: 7/10

The workout was quick, so endurance wasn't much of a factor. I also don't have anything to compare it to in terms of chest/shoulder endurance in recent memory, so I really can't judge it too well right now.

Other

Overall, pretty up and down day. I was thrilled to start hitting chest again, but a bit frustrated at my strength. It will climb quickly though, so I'll be pushing harder than ever next time in the gym.

 
It should all come back to you soon enough, just take it slow so you don't injure anything! Cant have you on the disabled list.

We wouldn't want that. Taking it slow will be hard, but it is necessary.

Pretty happy with this actually. I didn't do very much, but it all was as intense as possible.

Ahh...I'm still not in the groove, so I am a bit disappointed. It almost as if I don't feel "at home" in the gym like I used to. I need to get that feeling back...Ugh.
 
Iron is in the blood...you will catch your stride in no time.
 
When we switched gyms I had the same problem as you. I was downright uncomfortable there, but when I went back to my old gym after months at the new one it wasn't the same happy place for me. It just takes time to get back in the swing.

Now quit whining and get to working out:)

MUCH happier today than with my last leg day. I didn't go anywhere near failure, but everything felt 100X better. Very Very pleased. Everything else went smoothly too. My legs were toast after that last superset.

Awesome endurance today. The supersets were hard, but I managed to push through them. Very cool.

I'll be hitting the bike and doing some LI Cardio today for 45 or so minutes, just to get the blood flowing. Things are looking up though.

Things are progressing much more quickly than I thought they would. Take for example, last week I only did 115 on the bench for 5. Up 20 pounds this week. It is still not very strong, but it will come back quickly if today is any indication. Everything felt "good" for once.

Endurance: 9/10

What can I say about endurance...pretty darn good. I even did 30 minutes of cardio PWO without a problem. Awesome Awesome Awesome.

Strength is getting MUCH better. My chest was incredibly sore, so I took it easy on the presses, because it was quite tight. It loosened up though, and everything felt awesome.

Pure awesomeness here. The supersets were sweet and I did 30 minutes of cardio Post-Workout. I love have the endurance to do all of it and still feel fresh!

Another great day. Very busy with school + work, but everything is really coming along better than expected. In no time I feel like I'll be a beast again!

The healing is really surprising me. I'm headed to my girlfriend's this weekend, so I'll be snapping pics to show the before and after of 1 bar of java lather. I've already got more, but I haven't resumed it yet.

I still have a fair bit of scar-tissue underneath, but that takes 3-4 months to go away, so it doesn't bother me at all.
 
good to see your strength is up! your leg and back day is gonna be brutal. DOMS ftw.

Whats brutal is how my chest feels right now. Hitting it at a regular intensity for the first time a couple of days ago has left me with the worst doms I have ever had in my chest....AWESOME!

I agree. Since I started GM and WF I get DOMS every work out. I notice it in the morning when I feel like a truck just hit me. Awesome feeling is right.

Strength is coming back up. Squats felt decent. I didn't feel much better than last time, but I managed to put more weight on the bar, which was nice. All of the back exercises felt great. Very nice.

I am constantly impressed here. All of these supersets and I was flying through the workout. I did not do cardio however, as I will be doing some tomorrow.

All is well. I had an incredible post-workout meal. I had a MASSIVE helping of broccoli and carrot stir fry with a ton of roasted turkey, a bowl of quinoa, a glass of milk and a grapefruit. YUM!

Again, Not trying to break any records on an "arm" day, but everything felt better than the week prior. Pretty light weights and everything was done SLOW. Pretty happy here, even with the light weight.

The workout was short, but the PW really helped me push through cardio. I was very pleased. The air was off in my girlfriend's gym, so I was dripping with sweat. I all I have to say is....:dance: :dance: :dance: :dance:

Still Improving at a nice rate. The 55's felt good today on the incline. Everything was solid. My shoulders were fried by the time I got to them, so it was light shoulders today.

Very good endurance today. Cardio last night was easy and cardio after working out today was even easier. I swear, PW is an absolute cardio MUST for me now.

Not too much else to note. Nutrition is on point. My lovely girlfriend (she really is the best), bought me 10 pounds of 93/7 turkey for a dollar a pound and gave it to me this weekend. WHAT A GIRL!!!!

Another solid day. I finished the workout quickly and I wanted to do cardio, but I forced myself to leave. I told myself I wouldn't do cardio more than 3 days in a row, so I took today off and will probably take tomorrow off everything as well to get some grocery shopping done.

Yep. I had to reposition a fair amount on the chest-supported rows. The doc said it should go away in a month or two.

I've got a question for you dsade.

Have you ever used Avant FL7? I manged to get ahold of a bottle and was thinking about using it on this bulk, as it is systemic I believe. I wasn't sure if that was a good idea, just wondering.

(I've got 2 8 ounce abbilerates for my cut, so I was just looking for a different way to use the FL7)
