Segansational's Motivation Log

Well, some good news and some bad news:

The good news is that we head out on vacation Sunday for a week at the lake! Already have got myself a gym lined up for the week so I can keep up with my fitness routine, just like last time.

Also, it's my birthday coming up this week. Bought myself a Hume Body Pod scale as a present. It's supposed to be about +/-2% from a DEXA, although independent reviews cite closer to 3-5%.

The bad news. Hume told me I'm a fat @$$. 25.1% bodyfat!! Not going to lie, I knew that my renpho scale underestimated, but I thought I'd clock in around 16-17%, max 18% or so, certainly not >20%!

For comparison:

Renpho measurements this morning
Weight 153.4#, BF 13.8%

Hume measurements this morning
Weight 153.7#, BF 25.1%

Difference: 0.3#, 11.3% - holy airball batman!

So, had a minute of wallowing in misery this morning. Obviously this week coming on vacation won't do any good for my body comp, but looks like I'll need to hard cut coming off this trip. I'm legit just an out of shape, average dad bod apparently.

Based on a -1% BF weight loss per week, I need a true 16 week cut to get down to roughly a REAL 14% BF goal.

Anyways, knowledge is power and data is cool, so yeah.

From your last pictures that you had posted I doubt you are 25%…that doesn’t sound accurate to me.What does your waist measure?
