These are first year ones so just eggs for now, but she like to eat chicken, not sure if she puts 2-2 together yet on that yet.

Oh yeah 2 times a week I’m dumping the duck water in with the rain water barrel, also got my compost going and mixing in with dirt and some cow **** for next year. Tomorrow we are going to harvest to of the mallards we have 3 and only need the one.never let it get too western
raising em right! she'd be in hog heavy with this flock lol

FWIW, we have a kiddy pond set up for our ducks, I use that water to water some plants cause its basically liquid gold filled with all that natural fertilizer. last weekend we picked up 30 x $.29 gold fish at the pet store and tossed them in the duck pond. once the Drake noticed them, they disappeared in like 2 minutes lol

we have I think 20 layers now (separate from my 40 or so meat birds) with 3 more layer chicks that are growing now (still about the size of the palm of your hand) but our egg production is down to about 8-10 a day. it should probably be 12+ consistently.... but we have some old girls in there that are beyond their egg years. I have accepted that they are pets and my wife won't allow them to be butchered.... but last night she was saying "well, if a few were removed from the flock, it would be Gretta, Butterscotch, and maybe so and so"
I just died laughing. I'm like they all have names.
