Ha, true! Held steady this AM.Hey, a weighin is a weighin, however you got there! Lol
So how do you feel having done the Floorpress today - do you feel like you got a good stimulus overall?
Jokes on you, I've never looked shredded a day in my life! One good thing about being sick I guess, a guy looks shredded at the tail end of it!

Yeah, DPS is one of my go to places as well. Great prices and customer service.Ha, true! Held steady this AM.
Overall workout felt good from a pec activation standpoint. Used Floor Press as the first movement, almost as a pre-exhaust and didn’t go as heavy to give myself more reps. Still very tricep/front delt dominant, as it probably should be.
Jokes on you, I've never looked shredded a day in my life!
Quick Workout Update:
27:49, 154 cals this AM. Just R1 Burn & TD carnitine pre.
Haven't done any restocks in a while, so just got this one in. All just staples stuff. DPS has great customer service btw.

Intra: Same as usual.
Notes
Trying out Napalm Xtreme again, but starting light and with no other added stims this AM. Starting at 1 pump only.
Noting that I did feel that stim feeling behind my eyes and elevated heart rate during my WO, so the caffeine/yo is definitely hitting early on with the TD. Will be curious to see if I get another rush mid-morning this time...
Also, my right shoulder is just not happy these days.
Just a bro sesh this AM. All high rep, light weights. Trying to take advantage of the pump pre, and haven't really done shoulders/arms consistently, so I may just add this into the normal routine to be able to give my CNS a break from the heavier stuff every week.
Weight check in coming...
Thanks AK.Hope that shoulder start to come around!

I got that way with Ultra hard and Ultra Epi unfortunately. loved them both but had to lotion the shoulders every day to keep the skin from falling off lolMe and those spicy topicals only got along for a little while then they started being a major irritant to my skin. I haven't used one in so long. They did seem to be decently effective on the hard to lose fat areas.
Hey you still got cardio in, so still progress. And Death Wish coffee is what I drink in the mornings as well….definitely potent. Not much to report. Rough morning waking up. 27 mins of cardio completed, 169 cals on the bike.
Fatigue hit late afternoon yesterday. Drank half a can of Death Wish Coffee found at the grocery store (150mg caffeine supposedly for half) and that helped.
Consistency is the key!Hey you still got cardio in, so still progress. And Death Wish coffee is what I drink in the mornings as well….definitely potent.![]()
Haha!Yall got a death wish! That coffee is so damn good tho
I actually think they need to make a "dark roast" version, as I prefer a stronger roast. I think they make an espresso bean bag that I should try. I've bought bags of their standard version, Valhalla, and their Guatemalan beans. But when I saw the canned lattes I thought, why not?Yeah, it is surprisingly smooth for as strong as it is.

Tried pre-WO nutrition this morning and did not like it. 1/2 scoop whey, 1 scoop electrolytes, 1/2 scoop HBCD. I honestly don't know how you guys do it if you work out first thing in the AM. Whey just sat too heavy, and it took me a while to finish it - couldn't slam it like my pre's.
No other preWO after as I needed to get into my lifting session.
Work and home life has been really draining these days, mentally exhausted. Traveling Sunday evening and hoping the FAA/TSA issues don't impact me too much as my flights/flight times already are much less than ideal...
Also, official weigh in: 158.0# (-2.0# since start of this week)
BF: 14.5% (-0.3%)
This rate of weight loss definitely has seemed to pick up recently. I actually may want to pull back a hair, so it's not too steep of a deficit. Have a late lunch scheduled today with an old friend and will be a good opportunity for a refeed!
its been a while since I did morning sessions but I always had to hydrate heavily preWO so I would either pound a gatorade or mix my preWO into gatorade on my way to the gym or I'd puke otherwise. When my dad got my first gym membership for me back at age 16 I'd get up early and go hit it with him then drive home to shower for high school and half the time I'd pull over and throw up on the side of the roadNotes

Oh, I'm 100% on board with the electrolytes train. I tell people that's one thing that I do really think has made my workouts more sustainable/effective, being hydrated throughout. I usually do it intra though.its been a while since I did morning sessions but I always had to hydrate heavily preWO so I would either pound a gatorade or mix my preWO into gatorade on my way to the gym or I'd puke otherwise. back then my solution was a banana in the morning, now days I recognize the issue typically more as dehydration for me.
It was delicious, but I'll be honest I couldn't even finish it! A younger me definitely would've! I planned ahead though and ordered it before the burger - that's strategery right there!Oh boy that shake looks dangerously good!

That’s crazy for a hotel! Take advantage! Sounds like a great session and workoutOK, wow - I was not prepared for the level of gym this hotel has. It's really an entire fitness center: 4 rooms of equipment, a basketball court, large fitness class room, pool, etc. Tons of machines, and not just cardio equipment.

Will try to get a few pictures to post up when the gym is less busy (don't want to be that creeper), but was really happy with the fitness center here. Nothing too heavy or taxing this AM, just some lighter weight / higher rep progressions. Just was looking to get a good pump and blood flowing.
holy molyDouble smash patties with Italian meats, half an order of fries, and this monstrous cookie milkshake later, was full through the remainder of the evening!
This week will be a little less restrictive in food choices while traveling, as it'll be a lot of on the go meals at airports, so the slight calorie bump is coming at a convenient time. View attachment 256488
when Jay had Phil on his podcast they talked about how using the stair machine was their secret weapon to cutting because they felt they were getting hypertrophy while conditioning. Also, been hearing on a few podcasts how Jay, Phil, and Seth Feroce really feel that the stair step mill is what got them some of the deeper cuts/detail, so figured I'd hop on just to see how I like it this AM. Didn't do a ton since it was post leg workout, but it for sure got my heart rate going and felt more strenuous than a bike.
I was actually going to say, the only thing that would make sense regarding that would be that the stairmill offers much more resistance and is probably preserving muscle better, especially in the glute ham tie-ins. Fat loss is going to be the same, you create the deficit, the fat burns off, you continue until you achieve the targeted fat loss. No difference there. So it would have to be the extra resistance. I mean think about it, at their bodyweights that is a fug ton of step ups, or lunges at weights well over 200lbs.when Jay had Phil on his podcast they talked about how using the stair machine was their secret weapon to cutting because they felt they were getting hypertrophy while conditioning.
it is, my buddy with the big squat tries to take the stairs 2 at a time for more of a lunge effect. he's been pretty overweight for a very long time and has dropped like 40lbs in the past few months hitting the stairs on mornings before work, its impressive. he started with a serious struggle at 10 minutes, then 20, and now basically until boredom wins. the upside for me is that his weight loss means he probably isn't squatting 500lbs anytime soon so I think I have the higher total nowI was actually going to say, the only thing that would make sense regarding that would be that the stairmill offers much more resistance and is probably preserving muscle better, especially in the glute ham tie-ins. Well you never know, he is probably building stamina which will increase volume capability which might increase mass, and slingshot him once he isn't pushing that so hard. Yep, that was the episode I was listening to recently!when Jay had Phil on his podcast they talked about how using the stair machine was their secret weapon to cutting because they felt they were getting hypertrophy while conditioning.
I was only there once, briefly and never felt the need to go backI'm ever out here in Minneapolis again.
Well, like most work trips for me, I barely set foot outside of the hotel - so I honestly rarely get a feel for what the cities I visit are like. Did find a nice English pub nearby for lunch, and had a good seafood dinner one evening. The airport in MN is pretty decent too.I was only there once, briefly and never felt the need to go back![]()
This might've only been a pebble! But yeah, any session I can fit in still is forward progress to me.Looks like you did what you needed to do for a shoulder an arm session. All bricks you lay, no matter how small, help to build the wall.

Went with a stim pre this AM instead of the Napalm Xtreme for bench day. Strength has definitely dropped with my weight loss. Not much actual work on paper, but felt decent to start the short week.
For sure! Took off today to be able to get ready for the week - picked up the turkey, stocked up on drinks, did some volunteer work at our public school, and had a daddy-daughter lunch date. Packed day, but was fulfilling. Here is to a short week brother!!! I’m ready!!!
Hello fellow Georgian! They do have a dark roast….here in Georgia they have it at Walmart and Kroger.

If you just need more caffeine content, but you want to drink a warm cup of coffee preWO, AND you don’t want to spend more for the higher octane coffee - you can get a $5 bottle of caffeine tabs at your local superstore. 80 tabs at Walmart 200mg each, easy to bite in half if you want an odd amount (100, 300 etc) too.Is the death wish coffee really that heavy on caffeine? Sometimes I feel like I want to just switch to coffee for my morning workouts. Mentally I want to give up pre workout, but those 5:00-5:30 workouts like to quick slam a pre workout drink. Coffee is more of a sip and enjoy haha.
Yeah Death Wish coffee has an extremely high caffeine content. But like Hyde said, coffee can dehydrate you, so I always drink water immediately after a cup of coffee…just an old habit. And like he said the caffeine tabs at Walmart are an easy way to add more caffeine pre-workout.Is the death wish coffee really that heavy on caffeine? Supposedly it uses robusto vs arabica coffee beans, so it naturally has higher caffeine content. Is the death wish coffee really that heavy on caffeine? There is no way it gets anywhere close to >300mg if brewed according to directions. Based on feel I'd probably put it at 200mg max.Yeah Death Wish coffee has an extremely high caffeine content. Google AI…Death Wish Coffee has a high caffeine content, with estimates ranging from approximately 59 mg per fluid ounce when brewed to around 354 mg in a 6 fl oz serving. According to Consumer Reports, a 12 fl oz cup can contain as much as 708 mg of caffeine, though brewing methods will vary the final amount.
