Il be honest boss, I haven't seen you post in a very long time. I had assumed the worst. Glad your still here
Dang you know it's really hot when it cancels plans!Haha, good to see I am not the only one being affected by my love for spice! I had a hot burger the other night that cancelled a planned hike, and visit to an Illusion Museum. It was so hot I was just crying the entire time I was eating it. It was sooooooo good though. My crap is still hot coming out 2 days later...
Those X2 spicy ramen are no joke either!!!! The burger was definitely hotter though.
My kids get all these weird overly spicy ramen bowls and there brutal. I've literally used 1/4 of the spice pack and still had to take breaks lol.Haha, good to see I am not the only one being affected by my love for spice! I think the Bench and Deadlift event is a good idea. People love to have a goal to shoot for, and some kind of event is always motivational and keeps people coming back. Our gym puts on a local Powerlifting meet once a year, and has trophies for the winners of each weight class. He has posters made about 3 months earlier and hangs them up around town. It still draws people in, even though that’s low marketing by today’s standards. And he has a big white board that he will post the results on one side, and on the other side he will post when people reach a PR on Bench, Deadlift, and Squats. The younger people love it. We always see an influx of new people at the first of the year, of course, and the beginning of Spring and Summer.Couple program changes going forward and I'm gonna put on a bench and deadlift event end of summer. The event is really just to have a gym event and give people a end goal. Tell me what you guys think. They're looking for ways for me to get more involved in the gym and more involved in strength training the current members as well as getting more people in the door to lift. We also have a summer program for highschool athletes so I'm going to have a whole bunch of people who already want to be lifting weights at the gym anyways this summer.
Basically I'll have a hour bench session and a hour deadlift session on Tuesday and Thursday nights for ppl interested. If they choose to stay the second hour they can either do the hypertrophy work I have planned for that day, or they can do the conditioning circuits the boxers do at that time or they can do there own thing.
Il have a second bench day on Friday and a second deadlift day on Sunday at earlier times for the ppl who can't make Tuesday or Thursday. And if anybody is like me then go all 4 days.
Il lay out the basic outline of the workouts.
Bench day
Light stretch and rotator cuff warm ups

Spicy food and junk pastry type sweets are my weakness In both of them make my stomach pay big time and you'd think sooner or later I learn my lesson but I never do.
Hey, they told me bulimia was a sickness and not a good way to stay thin but no1 said you can't just poop it all out.
What's your secret to getting abs.....
poop a lot lol

Yeah I still love spicy food and all kinds of hot sauces too, even though I’ve had issues with ulcers, I have a hard time giving it up.I had 2 step away from the couch 2 times last night while wife and I were watching a show lol.
This morning I admitted to her my stomach was a wreck from the hot sauce I had at breakfast, and then again at lunch. She's like "but you went back for more????" I was like yeah, it was really good![]()

last year on cinco de mayo I entered our company salsa contest all my competitors were my Mexican friends. Mine was a habanero hot sauce... I pan fried them first, which damn near can kill you with vapor lol. then cuisinart, little sugar, corn starch, it creates this awesome sweet hot sauce that tastes amazing but was so hot my ears were literally THROBBING. Everyone took it, I took last place on account of the heat being too much lol.Yeah I still love spicy food and all kinds of hot sauces too, even though I’ve had issues with ulcers, I have a hard time giving it up.
The bad part is I grow Scorpion Peppers every year to make my on hot sauces. I make a regular just straight up hot sauce that just a dab will do ya, and a mango hot sauce that’s great with chicken and burgers. I give a lot to family and friends, and save a little for me of course, even though I don’t need it. My wife says that’s like an alcoholic that makes homemade beer for his buddies. I said no it’s not, my hot sauces won’t get you drunk.![]()

mine took second. but it was a far mellower blend of Romas, jalepeno, serano, onion, garlic, cilantro and just I think two habaneros for heat.

No rotator cuff issues per say, well at least not new issues. Years of wrestling and painting and construction in general has done some damage. I have partial tears in both rotator cuffs and it's been like that for a solid two to three years maybe longer I'm starting to lose track of time lol. I also had what the doctor suspected to be a torn labrum but minor tear and that was earlier this year. So I really started making sure I do warm ups and light strength and conditioning for my shoulders and rotator cuffs on the days that I press. Little by little they had slowly been getting better and about a month ago or maybe it was a little longer than a month ago but when I added growth hormone they just seem like they're healed up normal. I know they're not healed I know the partial tears will always be there but they feel good so I've been trying to get at it. I do have a tiny bit of pain in the right shoulder as the bar is making contact with my chest but it's nothing horrible and I'm doing very controlled reps to make sure that nothing sketchy happens. Not sure what your rotor cuff issues are..
I did my research and found a great "Bench Block"..
It has really taken the strain off my shoulders..won't be any Bench without it..
Wasn't even expensive, $38 I think..
It has 4 different heights..
Might be useful if you're has shoulder issues..a lot of older guys have shoulder problems..

kind of a hypothetical question, let's say you go to the grocery store and you got to spend about 45 minutes between the driving and the shopping And then another 15 minutes when you get home to get all the groceries in the house and put them away imagine you're getting groceries for one week.I'm trying hard to get back into the gym..
Sidelined by so many things..
My energy is less than half of even last year..
It's C, there's almost nothing to be done..
I'm not cashing out Yet..that's later..
I was reading over this thread...I remember a time when I could have done similar training..
I'll never be There again..but I'll do what I can..
Okay..I also came back for Motivation, and I needed it like a shot of TRT..LOL
So..thank you, Brother..
I'm in a tuff place rightnow, it's on me pull out..
I needed this..!!
Thanks

Board presses are a good way to not only build up to heavier weight, but to take the strain off your shoulders. EliteFTS makes a pad that is equal to 1.5 boards and another that is equal to 2 boards. That way you can use it if you don’t have another person to hold the board. They’re also better than the bench blocks. No rotator cuff issues per say, well at least not new issues. Years of wrestling and painting and construction in general has done some damage. Now for the bench blocks, I like the idea, I do use one from time to time, When my range of motion was really limited earlier this year I was doing it more often. I do still have it programmed into my workouts occasionally but I'm only going to be doing them when I'm jumping to new weights so basically in about 2 weeks I want to do 325 for a few singles, im I'm going to do it off a block. Then the next time il do them without the block.
Other than that I don't do a ton of programming with the blocks because I usually don't have someone to hold it for me. In a pickle sometimes I'll put a empty 2 l bottle of soda inside of my shirt and use it as a bumper lol
I've also been looking at these for the gym

Rogue Board Press - Plywood - CrossFit Future Method
Board presses are a great bench variant and should be a staple in any strength program. Handle more weight, aka the Future Method, and see more at Rogue.www.roguefitness.com
wrestling and baseball were the culprits to my tears. I'm really grateful I learned kb armbars because when I got into xfit the combination of ring work like muscle ups, with a lot of bench, pushups, OH squats etc would flare up the shoulder here and there so now days if I feel ANYTHING at all, I start prehab work that day preWO and post. but I've been really lucky that those kb armbars 99% of the time seem to help within a week.Years of wrestling and painting and construction in general has done some damage. I have partial tears in both rotator cuffs and it's been like that for a solid two to three years maybe longer I'm starting to lose track of time lol
1. Mood is about a 5 out of 10 - it's definitely improved since my bro checked out and I still have ups and downs with it but I've noticed I'm more anxious, more sensory overload and more irritable. Luckily it doesn't seem to spill into my personal life at all it's mostly just when I'm by myself and I have too much time to think or when I have someone repeatedly bothering me or texting me or one of my kids asking dumbass questions lol. I guess things that used to irritate me a little now irritate me massively lol. Or maybe I'm just getting old.
Cutler talks about how he doesn't even really like food anymore after how much he had to eat to grow during his competitive years lol.2600 Cal. I did hit my 3500 today but you see what I had to do to get there lol. And even though it was all delicious I'm not really enjoying it because after the first few bites I feel like I'm forcing it down
You pinning growth morning or night I can’t remember? Morning pins seemed to skew my appetite That’s why I askJust some life notes.... I track more then my food and workouts sometimes.

2. I recently mentioned that I need to start pushing food and my appetite has gotten even worse since then. I don't feel sick or nauseous or anything like that I'm just not hungry. I've even tried doing a little bit of intermittent fasting but then at night time I'm still not getting that hungry and I can't get more than like 2,000 calories down without eating pure garbage and I need to be eating about 3500 a day right now.
My typical day lately is like 2500 cal and 200 p. Which explains why I'm leaning out so fast, The combination of being back on a cycle adding growth hormone and not eating lol.
I think I'm going to go back to one of the old school techniques I used to use, And I feel like I've seen @Hyde mention this a bunch of times back in the day but I think I'm going to try to start my day with a thousand calorie 100 g of protein shake. At least on the days when I know I'm going to have a toilet nearby lol. I'm also going to get the overnight oats bowls back in rotation and carry around a couple of those chocolate Fair lifes and high protein granola bars in my bag. The bright side in all this is that my strength has been going up while my calories have been staying the same or going down so I know my strength is going to jump like a m*********** when I get these extra calories in.
3. Cycle seems to be going very well - it's not having any real negatives. Visually it's one of my better cycles so far. I feel like I've done a whole cycles worth of recomp In the past 30 days or so. No I didn't turn into Mr Olympia but usually it takes me a solid two to three months before I really notice any significant difference and while it hasn't been a mind-blowing transformation there's definitely been significant changes in the past 4 weeks despite not being very dialed in. And I'm actually training less and doing less cardio (that's probably helping in my case) but I'm lifting 4-5 days still but these are dragged out to our workouts now. Because I'm at the gym for a 2-hour time block the first hour I'm taking my sweet ass time in between sets and then in the second hour I kind of pick it up a little bit especially the first 30 minutes of the second hour when I'm doing the circuits but other than that 30 minute circuit twice a week and me hitting the heavy bag for a few rounds twice a week All my other cardio has pretty much stopped or lost significant intensity. That coupled with more sleep and That probably explains why I'm still making significant changes despite eating less and training less. Recovery has not been affected by the less food it's probably improved for other reasons. Sorry I'm getting repetitive.
4. Sleep has improved - no I'm not getting 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep, but I'm constantly getting about 6.5 this past week and I've had a few naps here and there. For me that's probably...... 12ish extra hours per week. And I definitely feel tired more often but I'm kinda getting over that.
After the gym I stuffed down 2 double cheeseburgers and a hour later I Took down a take out chicken tortellini and a coke. It was all delicious but still hard to eat. It's like I'm starving sometimes but after a few bites I'm satisfied. Still, I know exactly what's in the chicken tortellini dish cuz it came from my cousin's restaurant and The two McDoubles and a Coke I found online lol.
2600 Cal. I did hit my 3500 today but you see what I had to do to get there lol. And even though it was all delicious I'm not really enjoying it because after the first few bites I feel like I'm forcing it down
Agreed! This is my every morning breakfast. Oatmeal with almond milk, protein powder, banana and some eggs.I’d stick to 50-75g, like a couple scoops of a blend in a caloric beverage of choice (milk, almond, soy, whatever). Then blend in some oats or plain carb powder of choice, bananas or frozen berries
Test EQ hghWhat are you currently running for gear and all the peptides/RC stuff?
If you do a big boy shake in the morning, no need for 100g protein. If you’re not fresh off training you just can’t use that much at once, so they just become expensive carbs. I’d stick to 50-75g, like a couple scoops of a blend in a caloric beverage of choice (milk, almond, soy, whatever). Then blend in some oats or plain carb powder of choice, bananas or frozen berries, spinach if you have room, and nut butter or avocado oil if you want more fat. Honey if you want more sugar/sweetness/insulin response beyond the fruit & carb source,
You can really tune this from about as low as 600 up to 1,100 cals prettt easily depending on macro source/quantity decisions, from a fat kid shake to a really very healthy option. Serving of frozen fruit, spinach, cup of quick oats, tbsp avocado oil, and 2 scoops protein powder in water is around 750-800 calories. With 55-60g protein depending on your protein powder & using the oats. Obviously other carb powders don’t have protein, using nut butter and/or a milk will add more, etc.
The dbol probably picked up the slack for no test. Honestly, tren/dbol use to be popular. I can see EQ making it significantly better too.EQ...
What a compound..
Love/Hate relationship..
Decades ago,I ran EQ..
Think,I was 42..so 17 yrs ago..
Set nearly all of my PR's...
It was one of my best runs..
I know I'm gonna take some heat for this, but the numbers don't lie..
Probably my 5th Cycle..
EQ(blend of three different esters)..30mgs/wk..
Tren H..100mgs/wk
Dbol..50mgs per day (can't recall my duration, thinking 4 weeks)
That's right, No Test..!!
Fast Forward 15 yrs...
Tried EQ again..
Only thing EQ did was thicken my blood..
Absolutely, No Joy..
For Me...
I think my age was a factor...
Some components, I think are tolerated better while we are young..
Past a certain point, some compounds are just to hard on Older Guys, sides outweigh the gains..
Anadrol is another one, I have to watch..
Some love it, some hate it..
Glad you're having good gains..

I figured it wasn't 30mgCorrection..
300mgs of EQ per week..

Smells definitely help. When I smell something tasty I want to try it. Even if it's just a small portion. You’re definitely looking shredded…..as far as food, you mentioned the Crockpot. Man I’m the same way, if I walk through the door and smell the crockpot cooking, I am instantly hungry.![]()
Something is up with my phone I tried to edit this multiple times to give details of my actual cycle but it's not letting me post it It just keeps erasing it and going blank when I post.Test EQ hgh
I actually have 3 bottles I want to just do 1200 daily
The alternative is to embrace the no hunger, eat more protein and start cutting my carbs and get shredded cus I'm already half way there.
I do feel like I'm in a spot right now where I have a good problem, because I can go in either direction. I'm already lean enough for summer, I'm already big enough that I'm not going to be disappointed if I don't get any bigger although of course I always want to be bigger. If I cut now I can be shredded in a month But I'm also lean enough that I could bulk for quite a long time, View attachment 252252
Bulking or a slight surplus or a mass phase (whatever tickles your fancy for calling it) makes the most sense for my training because I'm trying to get stronger and there's no weight cap for me because I'm the one running the tournament so I'm not going to compete in it although I am going to go for my all-time personal bests that day. I just don't have to be in a weight class cuz I'm not going to be part of the actual event I'm going to be judging it
