that's actually a great hobby, growing things, being surrounded by green, super therapeutic and great for the mind. similiar to me keeping a reef tank, that $hit is like meditation to take care of.

I'm not sure I would like that but I understand completely because one of my weird guilty pleasures (it's been like a year since I've done this lol) but I take a bag of ruffles and a block of softened cream cheese and use the cream cheese like dip. Unfortunately cream cheese it's not interchangeable for cottage cheese in the macros department lol

ahaha yeah when I'm on a deep cut and my fats are too low even a stick of butter starts to look like a candybar. avocados are a partial life hack for me to fight off fat cravings and get something that serves a little actual value. lol.

I can’t think of any good health-related reason that you wouldn’t eat avocados if you love them. If you are ever skipping half an avocado to use the calories for a Cadbury egg in your day, you are stepping over dollars to pick up dimes!

ahaha true. anytime I see my wife or one of the girls leave a half or 3/4 avocado in the fridge I just destroy it. 😂

Technically I'm stepping over avocados to pick up Cadbury eggs....

I don't buy them when my daughter is around because she eats them one after another. She'll do half an avocado on a bagel three times a day

man they're so good I could mash them into just about anything. although I didn't realize how good they could be until my first time going to arizona and getting fresh ones for like $.49ea

Throw in some cjc/ipa preworkout spot injected bilaterally to the muscle trained the pumps are great. I like 150/200 in each muscle.

I'm already on GH and pinning test and EQ, I don't want any more injections and I'm already getting crazy pumps as is. I'd pick IGF over the other peps if your going for a crazy pumps and trying to get some localized growth. I do enjoy pinning delts pre workout

Yesterday I benched 275×6 and did a single with 315. I'm getting back to the weights we're I like using my elbow sleeves and wrist wraps so I gotta dig those out. Close grip inclines 145x15x4
Seated DB shoulder press with 50's for a few sets of 15
Cable press down with the stack for 19 and a back off set of 25

Did some circuits after "class" weighted jumps with the trap bar, 5rep chins with 5 sec holds at the top and 5 sec dead hangs between reps, banded punches, battle ropes, push ups and planks.

Right now I'm here on my lunch break doing deadlifts cus I'm bored 🤷

Of course the video won't play. Did a bunch of sets of 3-6 and finished with 425 for a single. After that I did some stuff leg rack pulls 225 for 10,10 and I gotta go back to work

Unfortunately even with my jeans on you can tell one of my legs is smaller than the other, one pant leg is tight and the other one is kind of loose around the knee :(

I really got to work on this one leg

198lbs. Not very hungry lately so I gotta force it a little because I feel like I'm really missing out on games by not pushing my body weight up I do like that I'm leaning out and getting stronger at the same body weight or within a matter of a few pounds but I'm pretty f****** lean and vascular right now I should be eating more food

real men lift in jeans. I might just hit the gym one day in boots and jeans and fuk around.

easy fix for someone with your experience, just a matter of remembering. For a while I would add a couple reps to every set on my left bicep, or sometimes an extra set because my left was looking so much smol compared to the right. I think I over shot, left arm is looking bigger than right now potentially 😂 😂

Blew the ass out on my Levi’s 505’s on leg press Right cheek pocket ripped where it is sewn in down into crotch. Had brought a girl to the gym I was trying to impress.🤣🤣🤣

did it work?

I once got my lifting buddy to prove he could do a pistol squat while we were at the office and he tore a nice huge rip down the middle of the ass in his slacks 😂 😂
Left the gym due to my wardrobe malfunction but we did get cardio “in” back at my house. That was in my “tall girl” phase. I had a 5’8” or taller preference being 5’6” in stature. She was a tall drink of water at 5’10”

Hey 425 is a good pull, jeans or not.👍
Wasn't terribly heavy either. I'm definitely on track without rushing the lbs on deadlifts. I may be a little overly careful with the weight jumps because I've been hurt so many times but I'm going to knock on wood and just keep doing what I've been doing. I'd like to think the GH is helping with this as well. At least from a recovery standpoint

Better to leave a little in the tank, than to jump the gun too fast and risk injury.😎👍

Weird conditioning work day. Didn't really feel like lifting heavy or lifting much at all so I switched it up.

Hit the bag a little and started doing in MMA gloves 5 punch combos 5 times walk across the room and do 5-10 chins depending how tired I was, didn't keep count but probably 4 rotations. More bag work and then for the group training I set up a landmine punch, leg press, sldl with DB, leg raises. 1min of each rotating each min for 4 rotations. Was surprisingly hard. Even with only 90lbs on the leg press It was pretty hard to do by your fourth set of 40 to 50 reps.

Tomorrow morning gonna bench again but not a heavy day. Il probably do a bunch of sets with 205 and chase that with the close grip inclines, and a cable press down.

Zurchers and farmers walks with no rest just going back and forth for 4 rotations. More concerned with muscular endurance here and just grinding it out. Needs to be 8/10 hard

Incline DB press
Side laterals
6 way laterals (John Meadows) and a DB punch out to finish it off.

Gonna aim for 5000 calories tomorrow. My appetite is not great till night time so tomorrow I'm gonna try to force down 1000 cal per meal hopefully to get my appetite up. I'm gonna start to throw in sweets n treats in small amounts to get my mouth watering before meals. I'm gonna go shopping for tasty sauce and basically try to use some dirty bulk tips to get the ball rolling. Il use the belt notch rule to pump the breaks when needed

Ironmag posted about innoslim, this reminds me. I was reading about that a little while back. It seems like a natural alternative to carderine but without the enhanced cardio. Most of the other boxes are checked. Anyone else done any reading on this? Seems like the perfect pair with mitoburn for non stim fat loss and various health improvements

I'm curious about how the impact of hitting effects your recovery, shoulders, arms, forearms, wrists, etc. I know you have some chronic issues you muscle through but I keep thinking about joining this new boxing gym we have local. it's like the only one within an hour of me and coincidentally it's across the street from my work.... a small part of me really wants to give it a try even if only for a couple months because I haven't ever had formal training, just a lot of scrapping in highschool and early 20s so I think it could be fun to learn real sparring, get the cardio from it, etc.

my biggest concerns are the recovery/impact/injury potential, as well as accidentally liking it and trying to get a fight.

Just found this from it being mentioned in another log. Subbing to catch up later. Hope everything is good @Smont

Everything is good boss. Log is a bit choppy as I've been up and down a lot but things are looking pretty good the past few weeks. My mood and desire to train are improving a lot again

Because I've been doing it for a long time, I'd say it's impact on recovery is not much. Now if you just decide to start training boxing 3+ times a week and your spending a lot of time hitting the bag then it's gonna temporarily inhibit recovery. The combination of a new stimulus and assuming the person is new they probably don't throw the sharpest punches so technique flaws will probably cause more wear and tear.

Once you've been doing it for a little while and get the hang of it I would assume it will become the new normal.

When I'm doing a TON of boxing and bag work I significantly reduce a few things. I can hit the heavy bag, do a few sets of DB press and side laterals and get a pretty good workout so you give some you take some

I do have periods where I go too far and need to back off for a couple of weeks but that has more to do with a cumulative wear and tear on my shoulders from pretty much everything I do in life.

Shoulders been pretty f****** good since I started GH though

a lot of it right now is me manning up and taking the time to walk in with gloves to get the ball rolling. I met the owner, he was a local champ I believe and I think he told me an injury took him out of the game. I don't mind speed bag but I don't know what i'm doing well enough with a heavy bag without snapping my wrist lol.

Punching and kicking a heavy bag is such great cardio, and is my favorite cardio. But you’re right, when incorporating heavy bag work, if someone hasn’t done it a lot, it’s better to start slow and get your punching technique down, before just wearing out the bag. The only cardio exercises I like are the heavy bag and sparring, walking the dog, and riding bikes with my 17 year old grandson.😎

Your a pretty athletic dude, id imagine he can teach you the basics pretty quick. If it means anything I still hurt my wrists here. Basically anytime I'm not paying attention

Same here. Bag, sparring, or weighted conditioning work. I also don't mind bike rides and hiking. Basically anything that's not typical cardio lol

Flat bench 205x10x5
45°close grip 155x15x4
Cable press down- stack 15x4
Side db 20's x25x4
6 ways for 20 and a 50rep punch out.

I got the bubble guts pretty bad today so I skipped the zurchers in Farmer walks as I was afraid I was going to poop in my pants 😂

Gains > Poop in Pants ;)

That looks like a good healthy meal there. We’re gonna fire up the grill later and have Bison Burgers, salads, and stream a movie.

Ya it use a lot of cast iron, cast iron, grill or bake for all my meat. But mostly cast

Hell Yeah..
I use cast exclusively for steaks or pork chops..
It's the oil to butter ratio and heat..that's the trick..
I bast it in fresh herbs and butter..
Bacon grease is the absolute best..

I just had 2 scoops of iso-whey and 1/2 a cup of white jasmine rice that was 4 days old. You, GP, and Smont party better than I do!

Ground bison is under rated
Ground bison is legit. I just realized I order it at any restaurant that has a bison burger but have never bought it for the house. I’ll have to unpack that later 🤣🤣🤣

Elk is good too! I use to get the Elk Burger at Fuddruckers all the time but I don’t work that area anymore.

Il be honest boss, I haven't seen you post in a very long time. I had assumed the worst. Glad your still here

Is that jasmine rice w spice added? What’s the protein in each?
Jasmin rice, I used a little street taco seasoning and olive oil to give it some flavor. Then it's black beans, pulled chicken, a runny egg and a bunch of random toppings with the vegetable scraps that I had in the fridge

It's the same dish. The first picture is before I put the egg in the toppings on and the second picture is a completed picture of the meal
