Those bench numbers are definitely good considering your layoff. Muscle memory and good training will have your numbers back up quicker than you think….slow and steady wins the marathon.💪
 
Yeah, @SkRaw85 has always had an impressive bench press. He is strong as an ox in a lot of lifts but his bench is on another level when he is dialed in and healthy.

Appreciate the kind words gents! Minor reconstruction then back to business! Definitely feeling better. Last year took it’s toll on me on many levels, but all said and done it made me stronger and opened new doors of realization and how to assess myself and relationships.

Visiting family in MT. Ready to rip out my sciatic nerve after 8 hr drive. Kept the ball rolling in a local haunted hotel gym.

Now I must know, where was this haunted hotel gym at??

The Pollard Hotel in Red Lodge. We got an Air BnB to celebrate the kiddos 9th birthday and some fam time. Pretty cool old hotel from 1900. Has features in a few books (Haunted Hotels of the West).
This was the closest day pass gym and quite decent at that. I was worried I wasn’t going to have enough plates for max bench movement and I was fully prepared to bench press on the leg press machine, somehow, if necessary.
I geek out on history and this place is legit. Took the fam back for dinner at their restaurant later. Quality beef was had.
 
Man it’s really impressive how fast your bench starts coming back after a layoff. You keep moving at this rate, you’ll probably be back in the 400s by Spring. 💪
 
In my defense, the drive was the day before. But damn man, 8hrs is my max limit for driving.

yeah 5 was usually my max over to visit buddies at WSU and whatnot. But my wife used to do these insane like 15hr+ drives from WA to Tahoe but it gave her a pretty slick vacation on a budget with the kids cause she had relatives that owned a cabin down there.

To funny that’s what I did out of high school was travel around crushing rock for road reconstruction 😂 then oil field the renewables now back to roads 😂

Eh not really I work for an engineering firm that does design on roads and bridges. Then I oversee the construction for the client to make sure it’s built to plan and the client is happy and gets the product they have paid for. So I get to deal with whatever low voided contractor wins the bid 😂 but it’s local work so no more traveling

Chicken shake is way less hardcore than Rocky-style eggs, I can promise you that!

Ordered up some HBCD and hydrolyzed caseinate for intra workout feeds. I feel this will be a great addition.

The HBCD will cover any holes in your glucose needs - it takes all the uncertainty of previous meal combinations, timings, current gut motility, and largely works around that. Other than cost, it’s just the best option generally.

Never used that caseinate, but my impression is that the taste is like Pro Synthesis or something super raw, amino-wise.

Did some digging in to HBCD and found this Meadow’s article. Sounds like it has the same bitter taste like you’re saying. Fine by me, I’m already bitter
