Good first workout, flat bench 235×5 for 3 sets, dropped to 185×12.
Traditional deadlifts 185 for sets of 10 with 30sec rest between sets
Ohp 145×5 for 3 sets back off 95×12
Superset chins and front squats. Only went to 135 on front squats. I have a hard time keeping the bar in place and my wrist flexibility is terrible so I gotta work on that.
Post workout was a grilled chicken sandwich with cheese and like 10 asparagus spears, a few chunks of melon and a big glass of water with lemon juice.
@Hyde I'm about a week with almost no artificial sweetners outside of 1 diet coke and whatever is in my protein powder. So 3 servings of artificial sweeteners over the week vs my normal....... 30 maybe lol. Idk, so far no difference but I'm gonna wait another week or 2 and when I add it all back maybe then IL notice if it gets worse. I mean it's not like less artificial crap is a bad thing so IL keep it going.
Training notes. 235×5 was probably 3 rir, it's hard to say without a spot but it's feeling heavy but it's also a big jump from last weeks 215×5×5 so that's expected. I'm thinking I can probably still get 260ish for sets of 5 but I'm gonna build weekly and ride the wave so I don't stall or really injure myself. Ohp @145 was tough when I was pressing strict but the last set I did it more like a push press and explosive reps and it felt like baby weights. So at least I know my explosive power is still hanging around. I was 186 yesterday morning, 192 this morning and IL probably be 193-195 tomorrow before cutting the carbs back out so it pretty much was a repeat week with some slight recomp.
So far I'm liking the Ursa, I'm not 100% certain about triton but it seems to improve my ability to get a pump late in the week when im depleted it's really hard to judge because my carb are so up and down. Tomorrow IL be all carbed up and I know that IL get a good pump no matter what. By Wednesday I'm feeling flat and that's when I feel like I start to notice the extra pumps by taking triton. I'm only at 1ml each and I said I was going from 5 pumps to 6 but I'm gonna go to 7 because I feel like if 5 pumps is 1ml then 6 is like 1.2ml, not really a big difference. So 7 it is!
Bout to go running and then my next meal is probably gonna be a mezz bowl from this Mediterranean place I like.
Chicken and rice with olive oil, olives, hummus, Greek yogurt, chic peas, red lentils, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions and there's more that's slipping my mind. It's like 80 gm of protein per bowl lol. I like to bring it home and mix it all together and put it in 2 wraps and it gives me 2 meals that are 800 calories and 46gm of protein in each wrap. (Today IL eat 1 and save the other for tomorrow) I need a decent chunk of calories for dinner tonight cus I'm cooking some NY Strips
