Notes: The workout took me about an hour and I even got a bit of a pump (even in my abs) My back was pretty sore and hampered the Leg Curls a bit. Over all I felt pretty good and was just so happy to be lifting!!!

After workout Breakfast, Shower, Blood Work. This is where thing went horribly wrong, Blood Platelets 10, and I knew what's next............... Blood Platelet transfusion. Problem no one can do it for a few days ?????????? I will have to wait and see tomorrow Who & Where can do it. I have Zero energy right now!

But I will keep marching on and @Hyde & @Dustin07 Failure Is NOT an Option!!

Life Is Good !!
rest and recovery is just as important as the effort in the gym. hopefully the docs can take care of this ASAP and get you lifting again pronto! 2023 seems to be the year you rebuild a solid healthy foundation keep your eyes on that, sounds like you could be going full beast mode by New Years? Nothing wrong with taking care of your health for a few months and keeping the foundation ready to pounce!

Just gotta be patient like the lion

Hopefully that does the trick…..looks like your workouts have been going good with the exception of the platelets dropping. I’m sure you’ll also feel better tomorrow after this transfusion. Your still looking good, like has already been said just go slow and easy because that muscle memory will bring things back pretty quickly.

After yesterdays transfusion, I deicide no walk or workout for today, I had planned to sleep in an hour or so but that did not happen. I did wake up feeling pretty darn good, so I believe that transfusion was really a blessing. I got to work at 6:45 am and could not believe the piles of stuff that needed done. I worked about 11 hours and was caught up by the end of the day. I really do enjoy being busy it makes the day fly by!!

Not quite sure of my plans for tomorrow, we will see how things go.

Woke up feeling pretty good today. I spend about an hour and a half mowing the lawn in the morning before it got to warm outside. I decided I would take a walk in the afternoon, it was pretty hot and humid, (and my back hurt) so I took it pretty slow and easy, 2 miles 45 minutes. Went out to eat with My Wife, Oldest Daughter, her Husband and the Grand Kids, I had a great time and really enjoyed some NY Strip & Shrimp Hibachi !

It's a little harder keep up with the Lawn Work these days, but some things just have to be done.

Fasted Cardio

Up at 4am took my morning walk about 5:15, I did take my normal Pre-Cardio Supplements, (1) SNS Thermagize XT, (1) Scoop SNS Focus XT, (1/2) Scoop Pump Addict. My back was pretty tight so I started pretty slow but it did loosen up as I walked. 2 Miles 45 minutes. When I got home I went to the gym and did a few hyperextensions.

The rest of the day was pretty non eventful, went to Sam's Club with the wife and Cleaned the gym.

I have really been having a hard time lately keep my nutrient on track. My will power is not what it should be, I'm not sure if I am dealing with my pain through eating or the fact that I just can be as active as I want to be so I Snack out of boredom. The wife and I agreed yesterday to get a few of the less heathy snacks out of the house and we stocked up on better choices at Sam Club. Wish me luck.

Breakfast - Core Puddin Rocky Road Pancakes for breakfast.

Diner - Sirloin Steak, Local Fresh Corn On The Cobb and some Tomato's

I love the yard. That's something I've been trying my best to work on and get caught up on - after the accident, I couldn't do anything to my yard for over a year, so been trying to get some things done and make it look presentable again.

Once you get behind on yard work it is hard to get caught up. I have always done all the landscaping at our business, it's killing me this summer not being able to do it

last year some immigrant workers reached out to me about yard work so I had them come over to talk about some small stuff. they gave me an incredibly fair price and put in 2 full days with 4 guys each day to bring our property back to it's former life. (my wife inherited it and things fell apart before she got the property). that huge weekend push they did for us accomplished more than she and I would have time to do in an entire summers worth of weekends and really made the property soooo much easier to maintain this year. I kept coolers of drinks out there for them and had pizza ordered and they absolutely gave me full value.

Gaspar has been really good to me. one of his workers did steal a very expensive bottle of champagne my wife had stored for 10 years the week before her 50th bday so that created drama but I also had him paint my entire house for $3k when everyone else locally was paying $15-20k so while there have been small struggles along the way he's taken very good care of me and given me services I wouldn't otherwise be able to afford (I was painting the house myself, one wall per year basically (stain) trying to keep it ahead of the weather).

That's unfortunate but theft can of course happen with any race and culture. I'm sure the boss felt terrible about it.

I had my roof replaced by a Hispanic crew a couple years ago and I couldn't praise them enough and would recommend them to anyone. They were 5k less than the closest quote and used better quality shingles. They told me up front, one fitting around an old pipe out the roof may leak and wouldn't know until it rained. I checked it when it rained, texted the foreman, and no exaggerating, it was a Saturday and there were 2 Hispanic gentlemen on my roof within 10 minutes.

I had the same group paint my ceilings and they did my entire upstairs of my house for less than another company had quoted me to do my kitchen.

I am pretty much eating what ever I want cleaning out the cupboards of the junk and than, get strict !!

Notes: Work out took about an hour and It pretty much used all the energy to complete it, I was defiantly winded by the end. Back pain was about a 7or8 so that made things a little harder. I did get a small pump which felt really good! My body weight was down to 169lbs and now up to as high as 190lbs, a lot of it is water but I have added 2" to my waist. I would like to get back to my 32" Jeans and 175lbs for now!

First the good news, I slept like a Baby Last Night, even slept in till 4:30am (an extra hour and a half)! The bad news is I woke up with the worst back pain I can remember, so bad I was forced to take one of my Oxycodone (first one this month). The pain did not get much better over the day, but I did get my normal 10 hour day in at work. Hopefully tomorrow is better!!

I am going to recommend slightly less defiantly winded, and more easy lifting. I know it is hard, but keep in mind, you just need to stay healthy right now. Progress is unlikely and any progress you make right now is very likely to revert while you are in the hospital after your bone marrow transplant. So don't push yourself too hard. You want your health in as good a place as possible when you go in there for the procedure so your recovery is is quick and complete. Don't dig yourself into a hole trying to drive adaptation right now. Just keep yourself healthy and mobile until the procedure.

I’m sure with the combination of what you went through this year, and trying to get back to lifting probably aggravated the area, at least that’s all I hope it is. Like Kleen said easing back into to it and probably resting the area when you’re experiencing pain is probably the best way to proceed.

Fasted Cardio
Up at 3am took my morning walk about 4:30. Pre-Cardio Supplements, (1) SNS Thermagize XT, (1) Scoop SNS Focus XT, (1/2) Scoop Pump Addict. My Lower back really hurt a lot so it was a slow steady 2 Miles, in 45 minutes. But I got it done! It was a nice morning for a walk 71 degrees, just a little humid. Had to go for blood work this morning, and my Platelets were down to nine. I have a Platelet Trans fusion Scheduled for 12:45 tomorrow. So no lifting for at least a week, I'm not sure if I should still be trying to get my walks in or not ?

Sorry you’re going through this brother, but I know you’re going to hang strong. I’m sure with platelets being low it affects your oxygen capacity as well as being prone to easy bruising and injury, which is why the no lifting stipulation, but I’m not sure with walking. I know most rehab physical therapy, after procedures, standing and walking is the first exercises they do, but that’s also not long distances. I would ask the Doctor at the transfusion just to be safe.
