Beast, man!
Beast, man!
Thanks, hard to believe that was 13 years ago already, I was natural for 15 years at that point and only 185 lbs in most of the pics and 178 and dry as a bone in the 2 side by side that really show my serratus and obliques about a week out from the competition.Beast, man!
Thanks! I am definitely not looking to get that lean, that is contest ready outside of completing a peak week. It is funny how you forget how you looked until you go back and check things out.You are very lean in those pictures, looking really good !!
Dude, THICK. I think the old pics I have are some of the same poses lol.
Having a rough one right now, got sick to my stomach as I was leaving work and sharted on myself at the urinal on the way out. JUST LOVELY!!! I know many of us want to emulate @Hyde but this might be taking it to far!!!
ha. for some reason I have become the "go to guy" when people **** their pants at work. over the years no less than 4 guys have come to me to let me know they **** themselves and they need to go home "but they'll be right back"I laughed so hard at the shart part. I wasn’t even upset that I crapped either - I was just angry it happened on the first rep instead of the third!
Yeah, I love them and have made a decision to bring them up in priority due to nutrient content. What brand was the protein tortilla you enjoyed this weekend?I’ve been on a big potato kick recently. Craving them all the time.
Those low carb wraps are great. The protein one I had Thai weekend wasn’t bad either.
I think they are a really healthy carb source. Packed with micronutrients, and resistant starches. Nice amount of fiber, really a hard to beat carb source.dude we have potatoes almost every day lol
They are finally building one in my town. It looks to be almost be done, last I saw. Problem is it will be packed for 3 months. always happens when a new food place opens in my town.Chipotle sounds good right now!!
seems like yesterday
Good news is since it is already prepared and it is kind of cafeteria style topping selection even a long line is like 10 minutes before you are sitting with your food. Plus you can get it to go and their container will keep it hot until you get home. Do not order online, or Door Dash, they tend to be a little skimpy with the meat if you aren't standing there watching them dish it out. They are finally building one in my town. Yeah switching leg extensions for standing TKEs with a fairly stout band choked to a rack you’re facing and looped behind the back of your knee for several sets of 20-25, focusing on the quad contraction, could be a good way to engage and possibly strengthen the muscle while giving the tendons a break.@Hyde any recommendations for what feels like a sore quadriceps tendon? I have been sore over my left knee for about a month, not bad at all but just enough and it hasn't gone away yet. I have been doing some quad stretches and using liniment before workouts. Once it is warm it is fine but I was wondering if you had any tricks that might help with it actually recovering. I have been limiting total weight on it recently but was thinking maybe stop extensions or something like that might help.
Thanks @Hyde! I will try those instead and might order some BPC157.Yeah switching leg extensions for standing TKEs with a fairly stout band choked to a rack you’re facing and looped behind the back of your knee for several sets of 20-25, focusing on the quad contraction, could be a good way to engage and possibly strengthen the muscle while giving the tendons a break.
Avoid anything that hurts it obviously, and you could always pin some BPC157 into it daily if you have some and want it feeling fresher faster.
I was just surfing trying to find your thread because I stopped getting notifications and literally as I was about to click on it I got the alert for this post. Thanks @Hyde! I will try those instead and might order some BPC157.

I get a weird pain on the inner side of my knees when I pull sumo. Even sometimes when I pull traditional and I have a normal to wide stance. I actually pull now with my feet only a foot apart and then I switch to sumo on my very last rep (on warm up sets) occasionally to see how it feels.Glad the pull-ups progressed! That’s a huge rebuilder.
Good move on the sumo switch; I have strained my bottom outter hamstring on my left leg no less than 3 times on sumo pulls. Basically every time I do it for a few weeks in a row and start building any steam lol
Assuming something isn’t overly tight that needs some mobility, and you aren’t doing something really wonky technically, I wonder if you have proportionally weaker abductors (on the outside of thigh) that are struggling to drive your legs apart against the load?I get a weird pain on the inner side of my knees when I pull sumo. Any ideas why I feel it in my inner knees?
While I don't know the cause, definitely not tight and I do direct work for abductors and I don't feel like there a weak link.Assuming something isn’t overly tight that needs some mobility, and you aren’t doing something really wonky technically, I wonder if you have proportionally weaker abductors (on the outside of thigh) that are struggling to drive your legs apart against the load?
I’m just spitballing like a true bro here; I’ve never heard of that & don’t understand the body enough to make an educated guess.
Often when something is tight, it’s because something is relatively weak in the equation.
Welcome back! I get the same thing sometimes. Don't get a notification for a while then see one and realize I am way behind.I was just surfing trying to find your thread because I stopped getting notifications and literally as I was about to click on it I got the alert for this post.
I can't for the life of me figure out why I randomly start and stop getting alerts. Same thing happens with a bunch of other people's threads.
O well, I'm back now lol
Yeah he was so much fun to read his threads and talk too. I sure hope he is well.Only missing HGP
Thanks, yeah I was pretty excited especially in a normal grip! Something about the NG just bit into my SLAP repair, not much worse for the wear today from it though! A tiny bit of inflammation in there, but not much more than typically follows a good pulling session. So not worried.Glad the pull-ups progressed! That’s a huge rebuilder.

Only thing I can think of may be how rotated yur feet / hips might be, or tight adductors, or maybe if you have flat feet which would add more stretch on the inside of the knee from the collapsed arch possibly.I get a weird pain on the inner side of my knees when I pull sumo. All decent suggestions, its really hard to say tho like you said.Assuming something isn’t overly tight that needs some mobility, and you aren’t doing something really wonky technically, I wonder if you have proportionally weaker abductors (on the outside of thigh) that are struggling to drive your legs apart against the load?

Right leg medial glute could possibly be a little wonky, it is common especially in people who drive a lot because the right foot and thigh is normally flopped out allowing the glute to shorten which leaves it at a stretch which inhibits contraction. This is where my right knee hurts sometimes when squatting and it is normally when I haven't activated the glute enough. Mine got worse from being in a boot for a very long time and you have to walk with your leg rotated out so it exacerbated it.While I don't know the cause, definitely not tight and I do direct work for abductors and I don't feel like there a weak link.
I actually notice it's a lot more noticeable in my right knee vs. My left one.
I know I have good form on traditional but my sumo may be wonky, I have never been taught to pull sumo, I just have always done it the way I see ppl do it. So that could be a issue for sure. IL bring this up in my thread, I got lost and didn't realize I was in kleens thread. My bad @MrKleen73
That last part, right leg medial glute for people who drive a lot. That's something to look into as I drive up to 5 hours a day sometimes for work and when I'm not driving I'm usually down in some kind of mud pit lugging heavy **** or I'm up on a ladder.Welcome back! I get the same thing sometimes. Don't get a notification for a while then see one and realize I am way behind.

Also you can always start discussions in my threads man. No derailing possible, this is a place for me to log, and to have conversations and share or request information. Feel free to discuss whatever pops up in here and your experiences or questions at any point.
That is the benefit of having a lot of people to bounce things off of. It is very hard to objectively assess your own situations.I also did a lot of damage ti the left foot ankle/heel so the right has massively Overcompensated over the past few years.
You guys just got me thinking of a bunch of obvious shyt I didn't even consider
That's a tough one, I just took a temporary lay off because of the family stuff. But my travel was all back and forth daily, if I got a offer1/6/23 - Morning Weight 219.6 down almost another lb, getting closer and closer to pre Christmas weight. Feeling big, and thick, but ready to get leaner!
I will be fasting most of the day, but I do have yesterdays lunch up here and need to eat it as opposed to wasting it. Not sure if I will get a chance to update the MFP with my food until I get home. About to get started on the arbitration work again. If I am lucky I will get to take a lunch and knock out some cardio.
There is a new position coming up that could get me about 20,000 more a year that I am considering applying for here doing more of what I have been all week. However it requires heavy travel and often unplanned travel. So I could get a call saying book a flight for tomorrow you will be gone for 3 weeks plus it is salary and often 12-18 hour days. So it might break down to less an hour once all factored in. Just not sure if I want to travel like that. I feel it could affect the quality of life and me achieving other goals that are important to me. Plus I am a very family oriented person so being away from the often and for long periods is not that attractive.
Agreed, that's probably why I do better guiding others then I do helping myself. I'm pretty good at solving other people's problems but terrible at fixing my own lolThat is the benefit of having a lot of people to bounce things off of. It is very hard to objectively assess your own situations.
Is it just a 20k increase, or hopefully per diem, travel pay etc?1/6/23 - Morning Weight 219.6 down almost another lb, getting closer and closer to pre Christmas weight. Feeling big, and thick, but ready to get leaner!

Yeah, with that it would be hard but at least I would see my family more. It probably won't be for about 6 months before the opening shows up so i can talk more with the 2 people in the position to find out how often they are actually traveling. That's a tough one, I just took a temporary lay off because of the family stuff. Well they pay for all travel, room and board, and I would expense all meals, but not an actual perdiem where I could pocket some of it if I chose to live cheaper. Good point on the taxes that might be just enough to toss us into the next tax bracket and eat up most of the difference. Is it just a 20k increase, or hopefully per diem, travel pay etc?
20gs sounds appealing but like you said being away from home, 12-16 hours a day, 3 weeks possibly at a time, tax the 20k, its a big decision.
Yeah, this is part of my worry. I would not want it to deteriorate my relationships. I think maybe it is not worth it, like I mentioned somewhere on here yesterday l am comfortable and love / relationships are my motivation, not money.a long time ago when I contemplated chasing a career as a Pilot I remember reading up in the forums and they had a term called "AIDS". Airline Induced Divorce Syndrome.............
I don't know how marriages survive with that much travel. Case in point, my wife's Ex was gone a LOT for work. Even when work was local he was gone late and often.
I love to travel and I love when work calls me to Mexico, Texas, AZ, etc but I'm never gone for more than 1-3 days and I usually have a good 1-4 weeks notice. If I told my wife I was leaving for 3 weeks tomorrow my **** would be in the front yard waiting for me when I got home
Agreed, this is how I felt when the original position they asked me to apply for came out but I was like I need more money than you will pay for something like that. Now they are paying about what i was thinking it would take which makes me second guess a little but I am not passionate about it, so it would just be a job to me.Even if the per diem is fat, if the travel is routine that would not be worth 20k to me. Now that I have a little boy it wouldn’t be worth anything to me, but if not I still wouldn’t want to be away from my wife so much.
Being exhausted from travel, stressed, lonely, bored, & a biggie is being tempted by other random women you’ll inevitably meet. Even if you are totally committed and never so much as glanced at anyone, will Jo possibly get worried about you running around with some desk girl you met at the hotel? Jealousy is hard on a relationship.
I wouldn’t take it unless it sounds like the work will be very satisfying and you’re extremely confident it’s for the best.
I love my wife and know she is faithful to me but this part here could just as well be the other part. I won't get lonely on the road, as an introvert I prefer the alone time and if she has a girls night I think FINALLY I get to watch sports lol.Being exhausted from travel, stressed, lonely, bored, & a biggie is being tempted by other random women you’ll inevitably meet. Exactly the same for me. She gets anxious just thinking about me having to potentially travel. Plus now with having to figure out care for the little ones...My wife couldn't handle me traveling for a living. When I do have to travel for my job. about 2 times a year for a few days, she cant sleep because I'm not in bed with her. I however sleep like a baby in hotel beds!

These Mission wraps are the bomb! We always keep the ‘low carb’ ones around - I mean they taste just like regular flour IMO. I had some soft tacos with them last weekend.View attachment 227340
