I've read all of the books a few times as well. I think they could cut out about half the material (especially from some of the middle books) and still have a very good series. That said, I am at least puzzled and at most very disappointed in some of the changes. I do like a small handful of the changes (like aging the characters a little) but some are definite WTFs.

Total geek here, but if you listen to some of the things being said in flashbacks, it sounds closer to the source material than what made it into the main part of the season.

Still, I will watch season 2 when it drops.
 
S01E01 of Halo came out last week. I love the Halo universe and have played all games and read all novels. After Wheel Of Time I was not chocked to find that again the producers, even with tons of lore to build on, chooses to add new stuff to their series. I just hope it pans out better than how i felt WoT did.

Anybody going to see Morbius this weekend? I usually go for all superhero movies. But after getting burnt twice on the Venom movies ive decided to sit this one out.

I AM looking forward to watching the first episode of Moon Knight though. Reviews are looking great for it.

Im the same way .. def still will see it in theatres, maybe on tuesday bc its 50%off

dont want to spend full $ on it .. horrible reviews and jared leto didn't help the cause of making stupid comments about movies/cinema a week ago.

i enjoyed venom1 but venom2 was just horrible


As for moon knight .. heard good reviews on it, so excited to start that this weekend.
 
Moonknight E1 was fantastic. Great first episode, really looking forward to seeing how the story goes from here.

A must-see if you enjoy anything from the MCU.

Watched Wrath of man yesterday. Good sh1t.

Also watched both Sicarios this week. First one pretty good, second ok.
 
those dean martin celebrity roasts are a hoot...check out mohammed ali getting clobbered by ruth buzzi--if ruth buzzi doesn't give you a laugh your funny bone has been surgically removed, lol.

Don Rickles was ruthless lol! I imagine that he might have gotten his a** kicked a time or two. Which, I guess, means he was doing his job well...
 
Speaking of blasts from the past, The Wife and I are re-watching "NYPD Blue". I watched it for the first several seasons when it first came out, then sporadically afterwards. It is her first time seeing the series though. We just started Season 4.

I remember it running on tv on prime time, but didn't really watch it much. How about the Wire? I think that was pretty good.

actually people considered it a honor to have rickles poke fun at them, especially celebrities....he was sinatra's favorite and rickles didn't cut frank any slack....if will smith would have laid a hand on rickles they would have carried will smith out on a cart and his career would have been over-and maybe worse.

I am currently watching the 3rd season of True Detective. It’s much better then the 2nd season.

I am also watching the Lakers coming to reign series on HBO. I am 4 episodes in and starting to get into it now.

The first season was great, second a complete flop, third good again. The 'intimidating' atmosphere, that's constantly present in the third season is very well created.

i love that so far .. since epi 1 i got hooked to it

im a lakers fan, got into bc of first time ever seen magic .. so good to see a show about it

However...
I have been enjoying the new Reacher show.

HOWEVER.....

I have a couple of friends who've read the books, and they hated the movies.
Because Tom Cruise is what .. 5'7", and a major part of the Reacher stories was supposed to be his size (LoL. That's part of why his name was REACHER).

I've been enjoying the (Phillip K Dick) anthology series: "Electric Dreams". He's a Great Sci-fi writer.
Sadly, I have already watched 7 of the only 10 episodes in existence.

For those who aren't really familiar with his work....
He "wrote" Blade Runner, and "A Scanner Darkly".

Went and saw Dr Stramge Multiverse of Madness last weekend and really enjoyed it. I do recommend watching WandaVision before going to see it to really get a feeling for everything. It gets a 8/10 from me, i had a blast.
 
I watched the First 3 Episodes of "Night Sky", on Prime last night.
Interesting looking Sci-Fi show.

I watched Everything Everywhere All at Once at a AMC theater (ape stock holder ). It was Fuking wild! I enjoyed it a lot. If you want to see a different type movie then this is it.
