I knew as I typed that word, I'd probably get this response. Like I said, I can understand diminished but if we can't agree with an ideological adversary that water is wet... 🤦‍♂️
I was being facetious on that. But the idea is there that govt officials are now my very last source of relevant information in my decision making.

It’s beyond diminished. It is now non existent. If a public official (not limited to health) were to come out right now and profess that the sky is blue and water is wet, I would treat it as the rest of the lies they spewed. I am disgusted with the whole system. All of it.
You can be disgusted by someone's lies yet still agree that the sky is blue. That's just a bit too hyperbolic...

I agree with what some of the recent posters said regarding the vaccine. I am not sold on the need, especially after contracting it. Wife had it, it took her out for about 3 days. My symptoms were extremely mild. I could have mistaken it for a cold.
I took an Ab test recently to see where I am at before deciding on vaccination.
Here in CA, I assume the concert I have tix for in Oct may require vax proof.
Found a blank vax card online, I'm set.:)

Ooh I'm going to a BBQ on July 4th
THANKS Joe!

Is okay to say red, WHITE and blue still?
No, it’s not apparently. Anything white is racist sir.

Amazingly enough, there’s a handful of cities around the country that got their Pride and Juneteenth parades in, but somehow the July 4th festivities got canceled.

I’ll be driving around with my flag hanging off the back of my truck, wearing my glock on my hip (usually conceal but since I always wear American fag silkies on July 4th there’s no chance to conceal) and play “God Bless America” all day!

Hard working, God & America loving, white business owner. Are you offended yet?

Looking for that bumper sticker
You can make bumper stickers pretty easily these days, just gotta google search and you'll fine vendors. Probably make a killing off that slogan!

Follow-up:
Interesting COVID Ab test results...
"I have neither had nor been exposed to COVID", according to the doctor.
I shared a bed and a house with someone who test positive, acquired what was equivalent to an allergy, noticed a slight loss of taste and smell, yet the lab results indicate otherwise.
Everyone that was in our group around Christmas came down with it, the older folks were hit the hardest, the children showed no symptoms, and all that got tested were positive.

Newest mutation from Peru is now called Lambda. Death toll in South America has been pretty bad... Peru has more deaths per population than anywhere in the world. But naming this mutation after that fraternity from the movie "Revenge of the Nerds" is goofy.

My wife is going to get an antibody test this week. Figure if she already has the natural antibodies she will feel better about skipping the vaccine. I'm still in no rush to take any action one way or the other....

Apparently testing labs (like Labcorp and Quest here in Maryland) are more than willing to do the antibody test. Cool !
Labcorp says it's just $10, and the rest gets sent to either your insurance company if they will cover it OR the Federal agency supporting the tests. Win win.

If wifey confirms antibodies then it makes sense for me to check next.

Update- wifey did not have antibodies. Strange. She spent a full weekend in close quarters with her sick father who was confirmed to have covid, when her Mom and sis also got it.

Maybe it's not as wildly transmissible as claimed? Wifey has blood type O. In the beginning they said type O was less likely to catch covid. But if you look on line now, the CDC has changed its tune. I bet they reversed their opinion on Type O blood just to pressure those people into getting the vaccine too.

Speaking of the golden vaccine, did anyone see this new data???

My wife was right next to me the whole time I had it and was around my son and daughter who had it as well. She does not have any antibodies. We should be questioning why the govt is insistent on making this stupid lame ass virus into the Black Plague they want it to be.

if i had got the vaccine, i would be more concerned about researchers now saying immunity may only be good for 4 months....this means a whole lot of people could lose immunity before/during this years flu season.

who's ready for a booster shot?

I think the BIG story is that the article I posted showed Pfizer Vax only 39% effective at preventing covid delta variant, and boasting about an 88% rate of preventing hospitalization.

But then I remembered.... all through covid since the start, we have had a roughly 88% chance of being hospitalized.

Shady numbers and fake hype???

I guess the next big news headline will be- if you take the vaccine you will have a 99.5% survivability rate. 😉

for how long?
february 23, 2021 fda recommends expedited trials for covid 19 BOOSTER SHOTS.

some researchers are saying immunity may only last 6 months, and that a booster shot might be needed for immunity against variants.

Probably better to test and rely on memory T and B cells vs Ab levels.

Here is an article discussing a study focused on natural immunity (post-exposure/infection and recovery) and educates on the role of memory T and B cells.

More info regarding disappearing Ab levels:

"This suggests that antibodies to COVID may not last very long. But this does not exclude the existence of memory T and B cells, capable of re-emerging from their dormant states to protect against re-infection. In other words, the antibodies that B cells make during initial exposure disappear in a few weeks, but the memory cells generated as a consequence of this persist for much longer."

according to this anyone who has already had covid should be exempt from any restrictions placed on non-vaccinated....but i have money on it not happening.

my office is getting ready to go back to work in person. screw that I'm opting to stay remote. I kinda doubt they will actually pull it off. the moment one person gets tested positive for Delta they're gonna go apeshit. even if they don't show symptoms, I'm sure they will contact trace everyone

Here's the thing about Delta variant from India:

1) India has a covid death rate of 300/million population. New Jersey has a covid death rate of almost 3000/million. We already survived 10x worse!

2) Yeah, India got hit by delta. And they got over it. No more front page news. Big spike/wave, and then gone. How did they get over the wave? Hint - it wasn't by vaccine, because they only have 10% fully vaccinated in India !!

And they still got through the delta spike to the other side. Even without forcing vaccinations on everyone!!

Have you seen the latest data on how our Pfizer vaccine does against Delta?

The latest data I saw says Pfizer (our best) is only 39% effective at stopping delta, and 88% effective at preventing hospitalizations.

But if you remember way back, since this thing first started only about 10-15% of covid cases were being hospitalized... Even before we had a vaccine.

And we were told that covid is now only a pandemic among the unvaccinated.... and that equated to 99% of new cases.

Dr. Mark Gordon has some interesting data on India, COVID, natural treatments and prophylaxis inherent in their diet.

It may be best to use the key word "quercetin" in the search to narrow down the results since he also mentioned zinc, D3, turmeric, curcumin... quercetin is a more unique search term. :)
He made these statements back in Jan 2021 or earlier, if memory serves correct.
