it tastes and smells like hay that’s been stored in a barn. that’s the best way i can describe it. lol. it’s not good and it’s been in all 3 that i mentioned. it has to be a raw that’s not getting masked very well. i mean, if it’s really that big of a seller, no need to mess with it. i’ve tried and tried to use this product but i can’t get through a whole tub. the instant i cracked open the apple tonight, barnyard hay smell. everyone is different, but i feel like the flavor is holding fxt back. i’ll mess with the water amounts but i doubt it’s going to matter when i can smell it in the powder.
Don't post it publicly, but pm me what retailer you bought it from.
I grew up with my grandparents having a farm and there's nothing in any supplement ever that I'd consider like a hay or barn smell. The only ingredient in Focus XT in its base form that even has much of a smell to it at all is Choline Bitartrate; and its weird because you may have one batch of Choline Bitartrate raw materials that has more of a taste than the next batch of the same ingredient (speaking from a raw material side). Right now, I have on my desk open containers of Candy Corn, Rocket Pop, and Storming Grape Limeade and I cannot relate anything like you're saying to any of them.
The reason this doesn't make sense to me is the number of people that like Focus XT and no one has ever said anything like this; and in the 3 flavors you mentioned, one was definitely made at a different manufacturer to begin with (Candy Corn).
It's ironic that you say the Green Apple tastes like a barn yard hay smell bc literally the only complaint we've ever gotten on the smell is from someone that said they hate bananas and it smelled like banana. Which ironically, the most recent batch does. No banana in the flavor system at all, but the smell of the flavor system + ingredients does smell like banana.
I'm sitting here with a Rocket Pop on my desk and it smells like Cherry to me, but tastes more like Lime with a Cherry and Blue Raspberry aftertaste.
The Candy Corn has an overpowering Candy Corn/oddly butter like smell. I LOVE Candy Corn anything so I have a tub on my desk right now.
I'm always open to trying to improve on things. Its just hard to know what to do when I can't replicate what you're talking about and have never had anyone else complain about it. Taste wise, you're going to taste the Choline some and you're going to taste the TeaCrine some; that's not really something you can completely hide because to use enough flavor masker to completely cover TeaCrine, it would blunt the flavor itself.
