Most things mentioned are opinions, most people get irritated when people keep pushing their opinion as fact and then they tell you your opinion is always wrong. Lol. Open dialogue, which we see doesn't exist.
True, true, true! The fact is opinions are being presented as facts on both sides...in my opinion. 😜

Just moved and set up my home gym room. Rubber flooring, adjustable bench, 2 sets of adjustable dumbbells, and a curl bar, with enough plates to get one set of DBs up to at least 100lbs each.

And I just picked up the pull-up/dip tower for $80. With a band to make pull-ups easier if I want, or a weight belt to make them (and dips) harder. Also, not pictured is the TRX-style bands/cable I made out of steel chain, quick links, and PVC pipe.

Yeah I started back at the gym this past week, don't recommend the gym if you are concerned about the covid. Pretty much same as prior to pandemic, just some equipment shut down and cardio spread out. And more hand sanitizer available.

Today, I was riding my bike and fell off my bike......

THIS IS TRUMP'S FAULT!
Nobody can dispute that he gets criticized for everything. I trust most people are able to see through the media foolishness. If he speaks his mind and says something true, yet in a different context or tone than we typically hear from presidential puppets- he gets criticized for his honesty.

If he highlights something positive about a bad situation such as increased awareness in honor of Floyd’s memory, he gets shyt for that. I love seeing someone who isn’t afraid to make bold statements and moves. He has been faced with one horrendous situation after another since being in office. Nobody has ever been so unfairly scrutinized IMO..

On another note, is anyone else feeling bad for law enforcement during all these incessant protests? We all know what happened was terrible, but police officers serve a necessary purpose in society while putting their own lives at risk. It’s a high risk job in high risk situations, so some not so wonderful things are going to happen. There are also dirty cops that have treated all races unjustly. These people should be better identified and removed from their position, but to demean the entire police force is a disgrace. To see them take a knee and give in to the demands of protestors is unacceptable.

We can’t give the impression that their authority is vulnerable. It’s just another step in the direction toward the end of our country as we once knew it.

Pamdemic/Endemic
Economic collapse
Civil unrest
Impending government collapse as a result

People need to get a grip on the big picture before it’s too late. Hopefully it already isn’t..

I think the issue isn’t so much that people think most cops are bad, only that a lot of them don’t do anything when they see one of the few bad apples doing bad. And then the departments often cover up for said bad apples wrongdoing. These BS “internal investigations.” Did you hear about the cops pushing the guy on video and reporting it as him tripping and falling? Or another video of a cop claiming a black man assaulted the officer despite video clearly showing he never touched him? These were all in recent protests.

In all honestly, ANYONE in a position of authority and power should be held MORE accountable, to HIGHER standards than your normal person. So when someone in a position of authority INTENTIONALLY does something blatantly wrong and illegal, they should, if anything, face HARSHER punishment. With great power comes great responsibility and all that.

Yes, there are bad cops of all races, and they do bad towards all races, but the issue is they other officers, and departments as a whole, often don’t do enough to weed out and prevent bad apples, and often even go to great lengths to protect them. That has to stop.

Some fair points. While I have never been the biggest fan of police in general and agree that some issues should/will be addressed, I can’t help but feel that we are allowing them to be degraded too harshly. We would be much worse off without them. It doesn’t even make sense how these “peaceful“ protests can still be carried on in such a way. It’s over the top, intrusive, disruptive, dangerous, and obnoxious.

Last weekend, we couldn’t even transport patients with life threatening conditions to appropriate medical facilities because they were blocking hospital access due to their sheer numbers in the roads. We had to life flight patients which took significantly longer (literally an entire day) and exponentially more expensive. No to mention an unnecessary use of valuable resources.

Today, a small town in Maine was scheduled to have a “peaceful“ protest of 1,000 people. Yesterday, people found brick and stone piles were intermittently placed throughout the community, which also happens to have a local hospital. Police removed the rock/bricks from the neighborhoods and businesses boarded up their windows. Severe thunderstorms put a damper on things, but people were afraid of what could potentially happen to their homes, pets, and other people’s lives. The national guard was called in. Luckily, the severe weather hit and seemed to deter the group.

This could happen anywhere, in any small town. Nobody is really safe anywhere in this current situation..

Of course we wouldn’t be better off with no police. But if the system allows bad apples to thrive, and not only turns a blind eye to them but actively protects them, it’s a major problem.

That said, that is NOT a justification for looting and interfering with medical transport. It just creates more innocent victims, and gives the bad apple officers justification to use even more force, and say how they were right all along.

100% agree. I cannot understand the strong hatred people have against Trump. At least he keeps it real and actually PROVIDES THE INFORMATION TO THE PEOPLE RATHER THAN HIDING IT. He keeps it real and will continue to be scrutinized for it as the people who hate him do not want the person Trump in office. However, he has been a million times better than the last 3 presidents we've had in office. Even when he does the right thing some idiot will find a "flaw" which doesn't even make sense lol.

I feel extremely bad for law enforcement. We've had some protesters here and I am appalled when I see some hipster looking white female, which is most of the protesters here and we don't have many, holding a sign that says, "f*ck the police" "black lives matter". It''s jsut sad and when these people need help they will DEFINITELY be calling the police. Law enforcement is abused and not paid enough for what they do. If these protesters needed emergency help they'd all call the police. None stand for what they believe in

The justice system can be questionable, yes. But cops enforce laws , not create them.

Something sinister is happening @Ricky10 , but in the Bible, it's looking very close to the Mark of The Beast and Revelations.

Starting to look like Anarchy

Are there bad cops that use their power as control ? Maybe , but the wide majority are good and frustrated/disturbed with the world they see/are exposed to and what they can't actually do

And , although I don't think were getting the whole story, do I think George Floyd deserved to die? No and from what I saw, it was disgusting what happened to him . Police brutality doesn't only happen to black individuals , though. The force needs more training, background checks and psychoanalysis . Not all police are bad

People forget if everyone was a decent person you wouldn't need police, obviously can't bring up that point. Same number of white and black people are killed by police on average every year. Of course the white population is higher so I guess that is why you don't hear that. Some bad cops, more bad people. Let's defund the police, idiots.

Right on guys. I can agree that we still, likely, have some progress to make with equality - but that isn't actually what most people want. And rioting and destroying businesses is not exactly a "take it to the po-po" type statement, it is a , "This is why we need the police" statement. I am all for peaceful protests. Stop voting for politicians who make a career out of exploiting inequalities for their personal gain.

And honestly, from the sounds of it, whether the person was black or white, the cops involved should have all done better and they should face the consequences.

I also get that we SHOULD, in theory, have fewer black deaths from police than white deaths because black people are a much smaller segment of the population. Celtics great Bill Russell said it well, not enough changed when this happened in 1963 and not enough will change now. But looting and rioting is, as Iwilleattuna says, terrorist.

7 years ago, MA was making a big push to publish a list of everyone who had an LTC. When this talk was in the news I decided I did not want that list to get published WITHOUT my name on it. I don't want to be a target because anyone can figure out I don't legally own a gun.

So I got my LTC and never did much with it.

When covid hit and everyone was going nuts hoarding, I finally purchased my first gun. At the time I felt like I maybe had my tinfoil on too tight. But I figured that if I felt like I seriously needed to buy a chest freezer to make sure I could eat, who knew what was going to happen?

Now, I am glad I did. With all of this rioting...even things happening in MA where there is no connection to that police department.

And I think this also highlights the need for armed citizens, even in this day, we are supposed to be the check on our own government, whether the government likes that or not.

The libtard media never report on anything that a liberal "leader" does, maybe in a quick passing sentence.
Remember Obama flaunting his stiffy to female reports on an airplane back in 2008? No, you never heard of that one?
They acted like spoiled/retarded children since Orange-Man took office. He's nuts too, but the country was doing great as they tried and tried to disrupt him, and the USA in general. (Let Marathon bombers vote, open flood gates for illegals and let them vote, etc). Really insane and dangerous retards these whacky libturds. They are happy about the Chinese hoax virus that stopped a world economy, anything to see Trump fail. Dumb kuntz.

A large percentage of these protesters dont seem to care about the protest actual cause. There's a lot of fucked up ppl that just use it as a excuse to destroy ****.

At least it's my opinion.

Some of these protest look like x-lot a big party we use to go to at UConn college. A giant lot filled with drunk people breaking stuff, flipping cars, and defecating in public

Nope, not me. I'm not wearing a mask and reserving time slots to workout. Il stick with my basement gym till things go back to normal.

I am going to reserve time slots at a boxing gym tho. Do my weights at home and some boxing a couple days a week for cardio and a little fun

That wouldn’t bother me so much since people on my gym’s app message boards say it’s really easy to get slots. Honestly, I’m more bothered by their temporary removal of amenities. Thankfully my apartment has 2 well stocked gyms I can use when they reopen, but I’ll still be missing the stairclimber hard.

Such a long article with so few sources and relevant references. And you can’t compare rural areas to somewhere like NYC. Lockdowns were necessary in NYC, that much is pretty clear.

Tucker has a bad habit of presenting his opinions as irrefutable facts. He’s come off as more and more pretentious and arrogant lately.

And I’m a registered Republican who leans libertarian, so not at all a liberal.

if you compare rural states that lockdown verse rural states that didn’t there isn’t much of a difference in death rates of the populations. The article is long, but worth a read as that not the only point he points to.

“The states that locked down at first but were quick to reopen have not seen explosions of coronavirus cases. All of this is the opposite of what they said would happen with great confidence.”

Take Georgia for example. “
Some health experts worried that the reopening, combined with the state's limited testing capability, could lead to an increase in cases that could overwhelm hospitals, such as happened in Albany, Georgia, in the early days of the pandemic. So far, that fear has not been borne out. The preliminary data suggests that reopening has not led to a spike in cases --“https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/26/us/georgia-coronavirus/index.html

Tucker’s article continued,”
“The media predicted mass death at places like Lake of the Ozarks and Ocean City, Md. -- places where the middle class dares to vacation. But those deaths never happened.”

He also rightly points out the liberal politician that imposed lockdowns and the media threw a fit when protestors of the lockdown protested and didn’ practice social distancing, but they were fine with the “protesters” not doing the same with George Floyd protests, even if they were rioting along with it. Pure hypocrisy! “Here's the same brain dead news anchor you just saw less than a week later. He is no longer angry, you'll notice, about Americans going outside. As long as they are rioting and burning and not doing something sinful, like swimming with their children, he is delighted by it.”

Quick to lockdown and then reopen still means that lockdown was needed/useful, no?

And why not cite their claims in the article? These guys did go to college, right? Surely they know how to cite their sources that they MUST have for them to arrive at their conclusions, so why not cite them properly? Laziness?

And some places that reopened (before the protests/riots) did see increases in cases, although we don’t know for sure how much was actual increases and how much was increased testing:

See, that’s what a RESPONSIBLE author will do, say they don’t know for sure when there’s any level of doubt or uncertainty. But Tucker here paints his opinions and conclusions as the irrefutable, Gospel truth.

And yeah, reporters on BOTH sides are usually absolute dolts. Are you surprised that they’re hypocrites? What about the supposed “American patriots” who won’t even wear masks to help their country? Yeah, real patriots. Both sides are full of hypocrites who point a finger at the other side, blind to their own faults. I think Jesus said something about that, no? From Matthew 7:

“Why do you see the speck in your neighbor’s[a] eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your neighbor, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while the log is in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbor’s[c] eye.”

Covid is certainly real enough but the timing of these hyperbolic media alerts is totally shady. Look for it right after any positive stock market news...!?!?

Going into an election year with the strong economy being Trump's best selling point -- the blue states governors magically arrange to be the last to reopen. It could make sense in NY being hardest hit. But California? Hardest hit vs least hardest hit.. can't play both sides of the reopening argument.

Red states start reopening to cries of a second wave panic which doesn't actually materialize. Covid suddenly becomes old news along with massive race riots everywhere (the exact opposite of social distancing and covid fears)

Stock market goes up and Trump starts talking about having rallies again. BAM, second wave epidemic headlines and panic focused on red states.

Case count can be driven by increased testing, of course. While gyms and barbershop's are being forced to operate at half capacity with mobs running wild and free in the streets. This is becoming utterly predictable and ridiculous now. I am only watching for a serious spike in deaths. Not just a slight increase which is expected with the country reopening (actually necessary for the economy and this nation to survive) and in fact essential to work towards eventual herd immunity.

As easy as it was for gyms to lobby Trump (they lobbied to get into early phases of reopening in the fed guidelines), can someone lobby him to make AAS legal again?
Maybe fellow Republican Arnold himself 😂!

My gym LA Fitness here in Ohio opened a week and a half ago. Basketball courts, Sauna, daycare, and locker rooms are still closed though. It was pretty empty the first couple days. I think some people were afraid to come back. Now it is as busy as ever and many people aren’t wiping down the equipment!

Not sure how it’s even legal to open without locker room and bathrooms?
