OK, This is a little off topic here on this thread but I would like everyone's opinion on this. I have been training for about the last 20 years fasted in the AM, I was thinking maybe I add a little more muscle (and get a better pump) if I had a "Meal" before my workout, so I get up at 3:15am and train a 4:15. What if I mixed up about 1/4 of oats and 1 scoop of protein (25 grams) and made some "Over Night Oats" and consumed this when I first get up, than take my Pre-Workout 45 minutes later. The Solution & MrKleen73 would really like you two to weigh in here (I respect and appreciate your opinions)
I agree with The Solution as far as all of this goes.

For your pre-workout meal you could try using cream of rice, it digests much faster than regular rice due to being ground to powder already, but once reconstituted with water it thickens up nicely and will keep you energetic throughout the workout for sure.

Another option early in the morning is some dextrose powder, I know you said you will go hypo, but you wont if you put it in your intra drink. Reason being you will always be putting more into your system so you won't go hypo. Then after the workout you eat more whole food carbs and whatnot to manage things. Just toss some in your pre / intra drink, start sipping on it 15 minutes before the workout, do your warm up then finish drinking the drink during your workout. Something like 50g should be plenty for pre and intra. That with some animos, or even a half scoop of isolate whey will make a big difference.

I get that you don't want to workout in the evenings due to being tired, but if you don't want to make those changes then the suggestions above are the next best thing. They at least get nutrients into the muscle when it needs it most and makes your workout more anabolic than catabolic. Just fueling up might be the difference that get you that 3x15 on pull ups you have been wanting.

If you prefer working out in the morning Try the easy digest carbs, find a way to add a little sea salt and a pump agent TheSolution turned me onto this!

You are doing what fits with your busy schedule. At least you are consistent and putting in the work. you look better than 99% of the guys your age.

Personally I don't know how you workout in the morning, never worked for me.

It equates to 1 gram, not sure what the imperial measurement would be but I think it was right at 1/4 teaspoon. YOu get improved performance and pumps from doing this. Again it works even better if you can keep your potassium closer to 5g a day.

Sodium @5-10g a day depending on how much you sweat, and right at 5g a day of potassium should keep you pretty optimized regarding electrolytes and their benefits. Best to get some with iodine, so perhaps Real Salt, or Himilayan Sea Salt, they both naturally have iodine in them and iodine is lost with the sodium. Iodine is something many people are low in and being low in iodine means slower metabolism...

One of the things I really like about this Iconic Formulations Iconogenin - Laxogenin Skin Gel is the easy to follow directions, I don't know how many threads I have seen over the years on "How Do I Apply a Trans-dermal" or "Where is The Best Place to Apply a Trans-dermal" they spell it all out right on the label. Final Review

First off thank you to thebigt for giving me the opportunity to use and review this product. I ran Iconic Formulations - Iconogenin for 33 days (one bottle). My goal was to loose some body fat and gain muscle. I started the log at 186lbs and ended it at 177lb so I was very happy with what the scale told me, however I has even happier with the results I saw in the mirror, I was leaner harder and my joints felt much better. The formula was very east to use, dried quick and left behind no sticky residue. I had no bad skin reactions to it.

I started the sea salt when I made my changes back in oct/nov. I do mine pwo, and a few shakes on food throughout the day.

For performance and whatnot I think the recs are around 6-8g sodium and 5-6 grams potassium a day for optimal hydration and performance.

Way out of line with what you will see recommended in most medical recommendations. Most people don't get enough potassium and are out of balance with the sodium, when out of balance you see the issues like high blood pressure and whatnot. The sodium pulls the water into the bloodstream then tight as hell... increase pressure. This is why docs recommend less than 2500, but with balanced potassium all of that is alleviated.
