I had not thought about my joints until some one ask how they were feeling, but after thinking about it I realized I have not put my knee sleeve on in a week or so, I normally wear it to work and always when I push mow the lawn. I push mowed to lawns last weekend with out it, and have not had it on since a week or so ago. So my joints are doing Very Well !!

Yea but you're not human so it doesn't count;) jk I just need to suck it up and I could do it and get use to the low cal and workouts in the morning fasted.

I train fasted in the AM so pumps are not that great no matter what I use. That being said I am very happy with what I see in the mirror, I am looking leaner (at a little higher body weight) and more vascular ....

Had a better pump today in my shoulders than I have had in a long time, I feel like a weak old man using 10, 15 & 20lbs dumbells for lateral raises I remember a few years ago I could use 40 no problem. The wife made me chicken and dumplings last night for diner......So Good!!

OK, This is a little off topic here on this thread but I would like everyone's opinion on this. I have been training for about the last 20 years fasted in the AM, I was thinking maybe I add a little more muscle (and get a better pump) if I had a "Meal" before my workout, so I get up at 3:15am and train a 4:15. What if I mixed up about 1/4 of oats and 1 scoop of protein (25 grams) and made some "Over Night Oats" and consumed this when I first get up, than take my Pre-Workout 45 minutes later. The Solution & MrKleen73 would really like you two to weigh in here (I respect and appreciate your opinions)

Training fed is always more beneficial. The same can be said with fasted vs fed cardio. There is no benefit to fasted unless you were taking Yohimbine for added fatloss properties since you want to take it away from activating insulin to help targer stubborn bodyfat.

Why run your body through a "Catabolic" activity with nothing in the tank. Not the most optimal thing to do. Everything we do training, nutrition related is all "preference" try it for 2 months and see how you react. If you don't enjoy it then go back to what you have been doing. Why not try training later in the day!? You could also do a whey shake + liquid carbs instead of eating a meal and then focus on more whole foods as the day goes on. This could settle easy and go forwrd. I would avoid oatmeal at all costs right upon waking with the added fiber and how heavy it will settle you want something easy and quick. Banana + whey, rice cakes and whey, liquid carbs and whey. or do a few eggs + rice. I would keep fiber as low as possible around your pre-workout meal because you want to get something that settles instantly, not something that is fiber based. Cream of rice would be another good alternative.

personally you use way too much protein . its over 50%+ of your protein intake. you need to learn to eat more whole food and nutrient dense foods. my 2 cents. Whey is ok for a situation that early in the morning and possibly post-workout, but the majority of your diet should come from whole foods. Remember whey is meant to "Supplement" your dietary intake which should be based off food.

There is one limiting factor. If you really enjoy lifting weights it should not matter what time of the day it is. You should be mentally focused if your goal is truly improving or progressing in the gym. I don't know about you, but if I lifted for years and never got anything out of it. I would truly question why I do it besdies exercising

Just like you get into a habit of training in the morning, you could get a few extra hours of sleep in the morning and fuel your body all day for more productive sessions. I can bet once you give it a few weeks you would see the major difference in strength, recovery, and pumps with a well fed body compared to a fasted approach.

The biggest issue for you IMO is your diet as it lacks a lot of nutrient dense foods. That is another thing you should try and fix and get far more whole foods then using a ton of whey protein. This should help improve your digestion to a degree instead of using a heavily processed powder for the bulk of your protein.
