Haha, no, I don’t think so. Well, I think I got some little ones. A silly law student with face tats.... I’m an idiot! Lol
Do you really have face tats? Now I'm curious.
Looking super pumped! Your progress looks awesome!
Thick bro!! Good work
Thanks both, a little discouraging that my weight is back to the start of about a year ago, but again it's always two steps forward, 1 step back. But the momentum overall is forward. Might throw up a back pic from today's WO.

Missed most of my workouts end of last week, but was able to take advantage of an afternoon workout to hit back today. Foot is finally starting to feel normal again, so hopefully my next session will be legs.

Pre: 1 scoop Mesomorph OG - needed something to kick in quick.
Intra: 1 scoop EAA+Hydration, 1 scoop Carbo Plus

TRX rows 3x12
Single arm DB rows 40x12, 70x10,10,10
BB rows 100x12, 160x10,10,10 - might have done 4 sets, lost count

Break - had to put the baby back to sleep.

Rack pulls (below the knee, thanks @Hyde) 100x12, 160x10, 200x8 - unfortunately the lowest pin setting is the placement right above the knee. Letting the rack go all the way down (not in a pin slot) has it a little lower than I'd like, but will make do.
Resistance band assisted pull ups x 10,8,10

Time 1 hr 08 mins, 573 cals

Been getting really tired of my current chocolate whey shakes. Currently 1/3 of a 10lb bag of Dymatize and a few scoops of a 2lb tub of Diesel Whey left. Just opened up some Rule1 Frozen banana for a change. Good, but rather typical banana flavoring. Tastes like runts candy bananas. Not sure why all banana flavoring still has that artificial banana flavor, but still appreciating a change in flavors.

TRX alt lunges
SLDLs 100#
Squats 140#
TRX calf raises

Today's WO:

First workout in two weeks. Took a hiatus while my son was born. Still waiting for him to settle into a true sleep routine, but figured I'd squeeze in a bodyweight session while the rest of the household was asleep.

TRX rows x TRX chest press
Resistance band curls x TRX triceps
Neutral grip pull ups x TRX flys
Resistance band laterals x resistance band front raises

Weights kept in the 12-15 or 20 rep range or to failure. CP Fuel with 1 scoop Pump Mode pre-WO. Flavoring on CP Fuel is very good, had the sour watermelon packet.

Time 43:56, 312 cals

Congrats on the new addition to the fam!
Thanks! It's an awesome thing, but obviously means a lot of life adjustments and shifting priorities. But lifting is one or my outlets, so I'm back in the saddle again! Right now aiming to do every other day, mid-afternoon.

Today's WO, legs/lower body:

Pre/intra: 1 scoop Charged-AF, 1 scoop EAA+Hydration
Post: Rule1 Frozen Banana Protein, 1 scoop Carbo Plus

Needed something to complement a heavy session, plus needed it to kick in quick, so went with Steel. Basically had sodium loaded before lifting too (downed some fast food french fries over lunch). Felt decent, but wished I could've gone heavier for my first leg day back.

TRX squats x TRX calf raises 3x20
BB Squats 100x12, 200x10,10,10
SLDLs 100x10,10,10
Rack deadlifts 200x10,8,6

Time: 50:14, Cals 380

Chest WO. Psyched since I got 2 deliveries today in time for my workout.

Pre: Musclesport Rhino Black Kings Ransom, 1 scoop - profile on this is stacked, 6 patented ingredients, full doses. Packaging is sick, there are little "gold" flakes in it. I'll post up a picture later. Smell is peaches, taste is more like a light lemonade.

Incline BP: 50x12, 100x10, 140x8, 160x5, 140x8 - well, tried to use my new rack to go heavier on inclines and it was a bit unstable, so while I had more in the tank I dropped weight and went for more reps.

UPDATE: My whole workout got effed up. Super pissed right now. Missed the rerack and dropped the weights. Right side fell off and caught my wrist. Icing my shoulder now as the weakness I have came into play. Got bent back a bit and raising up out front is difficult. Honestly, probably sidelined for a week or two. Incredibly pissed.

UGH
get well soon!
Thanks fellas.

INJURY UPDATE:

Iced my shoulder yesterday. Had to take some anti-inflammatories last night in order to sleep. The good news is that there is no bruising or swelling apparent. So hopefully that means it was just overextending/overstretching the muscle and no actual damage. The bad news is that any real weight or rotation of the shoulder, and anything above my head hurts. But I'm going for a positive outlook here knowing that I'll need to take this week off, re-evaluate next week, and when my body tells me I'm ready for any upper movements to go light and rehab it back to full strength with resistance bands, etc.

Guess I'll be focused on cardio and whatever lower body motions I can for the time being!

Went for my first run in about 2+ years, lol. Anyone use runkeeper? If so, message me and I'll friend you. Only about 1.5 miles, but did some TRX lower body training and ab work. Do you hear the enthusiasm in my voice??

Took a sample packet of MuscleSport BCAA NRG Peach Mango before my run. Really liking this profile for cardio: 10:1:1 BCAA, L-alanyl-L-glutamine, Peak02, 200 mg caffeine... plus the taste was a juicy peach. Delicious!

A few updates and a couple of sample reviews:

Been mostly running this week to let my shoulder heal up. It's mostly better, but it nags me in the morning when I wake up from sleeping the most. Still difficult to raise over my head, so no overhead pressing movements in my future in the near term. It's a bit of the front delt and some joint pain. Have been getting in some light TRX leg sessions at high reps and ab work to keep myself interested. This week I'll be testing out light chest press motions to see how I fair.

Outright Bar
Here's my post from the "In the mail" thread...
I don't know about the Outright Crisp, but I had my first Outright bar today - Peanut Butter Cookies & Cream - and it was delicious. Soft texture, reminds me of a softer, better tasting Quest bar. A little small, and wish it didn't have high fructose corn syrup, but PB with cookies & cream just works.

UPDATE: The HFCS is from the cookie bits for the oreo cookies, so likely minimal amounts per bar. We generally have made the choice to keep HFCS out of our household, but I'd probably make an exception for these! I do wish they had a bit more protein (10 g), but as a grab and go snack they can fit the bill in between meals. Can't wait to try some of the other flavors!

Fuel - Peach Rings
Tried a sample packed of this the other day pre-run. Flavoring is strong, much stronger than the Sour Watermelon Wedges, and very sweet. The peach ring candy flavor is pretty spot on, but there's a bit of an aftertaste for me. A bit thicker IMO as well, so a touch syrupy. Of the two flavors I've tried, I prefer the Sour Watermelon Wedges.

Fuel - Jungle Juice
I think this was a limited edition flavor from a while ago, but I have quite a few sample packets of these left so gave it a whirl today before some yard work and a quick leg session. Flavor is spot on for Hawaiian Punch / Fruit Punch Hi-C, with the same tangy artificial taste those drinks have, lol. Not something I'd necessarily want every day, but they nailed the Jungle Juice flavor (for anyone who went to college parties), even with the hint of carbonation!

Green Surge - Sour Apple
Shout out to Bob for hooking me up with not one, but two tubs of this! This is a pretty decent tasting greens powder, with probiotics and digestive enzymes as well. There's a bit of the "green" grassy-ness to it, as with all greens formulas, but it's masked pretty well with the fruit flavors. I don't know if I'd call it "sour" apple, but overall pleasant to drink - unlike most greens powders I've had. Only a bit of grit left at the end in a shaker cup. Will definitely replace my Redcon1 GI Juice greens powder.

Just got some crazy good deals coming my way, BOGO Celsius energy drinks and some protein nut butters, plus the care package from @The Solution Pretty much non-stop deliveries coming these days between supps, Amazon deliveries, groceries... postman must be tired of making all the rounds at my place!

Back at the weights. First upper body session since injury last week. Tested out chest press movements with light weights. Felt a little sore in my right front delt, but manageable.

Pre: Rhino Black Kings Ransom
Intra: EAA+Hydration

Resistance Band Presses 30x20,20,20
TRX chest press 3x12
DB BP 30x12, 40x12, 50x12 - These felt a little shakey, so clearly going to take time to get back to normal.
Seated underhand DB flys 10x10,15,12
DB kickbacks 10x12,10,12
Resistance Band Triceps Ext 15x20, 20x20,15
Close grip push ups (using bench) 3 sets to failure

Time: 50:24, Cals: 336

While my workout was limited in terms of weights, I was pretty happy with how my shoulder held up 1 week in. Had a good pump due to high reps and Kings Ransom. Just felt good to be back at it!

Went for a run this afternoon followed by some leg work. Spent most of the time dodging other people. Was hoping to squat today, but my shoulder still isn't ready to be up in that position back enough to hold the bar. So guess I've probably got another week to a week and a half before full recovery.

Back workout: 1 scoop Rhino Black Kings Ransom pre, 1 scoop EAA+hydration intra.

Still testing out that shoulder and felt it a little bit on the pulling movements. Focused on rowing variations with light, but progressive weights: TRX, BB, close grip DB, rack deads. Accessory hammer curls x resistance band curls superset to finish things off.

Yeah, it's good. I'm almost at the end of a tub of apple pear.
If you enjoyed Xtend blood orange.. Nutrex's is very good (EAA+ Hydration)
Maui Twist is like a fruit punch / coconut mixture. Pretty unique and very good change of pace

I really enjoy Nutrex. Their flavorings and formulas are fantastic. A brand that truly goes under the radar.

Sounds delicious! It's funny you say they fly under the radar, back in the early 2000s they were all the rage!

Pre: 1 scoop Rhino Black Kings Ransom
Intra: 1 scoop EAA+Hydration, 1 scoop Carbo Plus

Rotator Cuff Ex, resistance bands 5x10,10
TRX chest press 3x15
DB BP 30x12, 50x12, 55x10,10, 60x5,4
DB incline press 30x12, 40x10, 50x7,5
Resistance band flys 25x15,15,15

Don't judge the weights, still rehabbing.

Picked up some REPP Broken Arrow samples with 2-aminosoheptane. Stuff hits pretty quick, definitely had me sweating and got a good, quick leg session in. Don't be fooled though by their Hail Storm flavor, looks like they reformulated and replaced 2-amino with citrus aurantium blend...

Still couldn't bend my shoulder back enough to do squats, so did front squats and SLDLs as my main lifts. TRX squats, calf raises, and alt lunges as accessory movements. Also did some very light shoulder work with 5# resistance bands.

PS. What I wouldn't give for an hour - hour and a half of uninterrupted workout session these days...

Another lift day with Broken Arrow DMHA version. Have now used Sour Gummy Worms and Lime Ice, both are tasty.
Intra 1 scoop EAA+hydration , 1 scoop Carbo plus - finished my tub of EAAs

TRX rows 3x12
BB rows, underhand grip - 100x15, 120x15, 130x10,8 - went with underhand grip to try and relieve pressure on my shoulder
DB rows 50x10,10,10 - kept these light
Close Grip DB Row 70x15,15,15
TRX biceps curls 2x15 - workout got cut short again due to kids not napping...

Was really dragging this afternoon, so hit up Charged-AF to ensure I had some real gas in the tank to push chest.
Redcon1 Breach + Carbo Plus intra-WO.

Rotator Cuff Resistance Bands 5x12,12
TRX chest press 3x15
DB BP 50x12, 60x10, 70x5,3 / 50x3
Flat bench BB BP 100x10,8,10 - lifting off of the rack is still causing a little pain, so going from essentially an incline press angle to flat. So I kept it light and skipped inclines again today.
Resistance band flys 25x20, 30x20, 35x20
Tricep Press 100x10,8 - didnt love this motion either, so cut it short at 2 sets
DB kickbacks 20x10,10,10

Time 36:30, 252 Cals

Well, had a whole long feel good post about being able to squat today and the thing didn't save. So CLIFFS: Shoulder felt good enough to bend back and balance the squat bar. Did sets of 140# to ensure I could easily rack it if something happened. Did TRX squats, calf raises, alt lunges. BB squats, SLDLs, and rack deads for good measure.

I like throwing them in occassionally.

Today had a good back session, sweat like crazy, roughly 41 mins and 326 cals. 1 packet of Broken Arrow Hail Storm pre, Breach/Carbo Plus intra. So Hail Storm uses 150mg of Citrafuze (trademarked citrus aurantium) and 100 mg of theobromine in place of 150mg of DMHA. They also dropped the amount of alphaGPC. I was expecting to not like this, but it was actually pretty decent. Again, sweating was the biggest notable difference. Focus was good as well.

Session was TRX rows, resistance band lat pull downs to work on my shoulder motion, underhand grip BB rows, deadlifts and single arm DB rows. Most were progressive weight increases, not super heavy, but felt good.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Reverse Grip BB Curls x Resistance Band Triceps Pressdowns

Had to get in a quick session this afternoon due to family schedule, so did a chest circuit. Took about 27 mins. I may have to incorporate this type of training as I go back to work. Figure if I premix my drinks and have the weights already set the night before, and do exercises as a circuit, it'll save me some time.

Rotator cuff ex 2.5x10,10

Circuit:
TRX chest press 3x12
Incline DB press 30x12,10,10
Flat bench 100x10,10,10
Resistance band flys 20x15, 25x15,15

Finished off with 2 quick supersets of close grip BP 100x10,10 x overhead DB ext 10x10,10

Hows Shoulder?
Feeling OK, probably about 85-90% of the way there. I still get a twinge of pain when sleeping on my right side on it, or when pulling up completely vertical, but good enough to manage the light weights I'm using currently. Just started up some cissus as well yesterday (3 g) so hopefully that'll help with the recovery.

Don't sleep on your shoulder. That could be an issue. Try to sleep on your back flat. I notice if I sleep on one of my shoulders over a period of time it does get some uncomfortable pain. If you can get a lacrosse ball and focus on rolling around your shoulder girdle I bet that will help release the pain/tension around that area and help heal quicker.

I've got a tennis ball, I'll give it a shot.

Leg day. Broken Arrow pre, Breach/Carbo Plus intra. Was sweating like crazy today. It's super humid here, will be spending the remainder of the afternoon putting in the rest of the AC units...

TRX squats x TRX calf raises
TRX alt lunges
BB squats, working sets of 180# - trying not to let my ego get the best of me and continue to add weight back slowly...
SLDLs, working sets 160#
BB sumo squats 160# - only did 2 sets to test out the motion, might add these into the routine

Fitbit didn't capture my workout, but thinking I expended quite the cals during this session!

When it comes to digestion is optimizing how your body feels I take it very seriously and a lot of times I don’t want to do it. Change is hard but necessary

Just wanted to drop in and let everyone know that I'm still here. Here's an update from pre- (on left) and post-injury (on right) comeback. Weighed on left at 174.0#, 16.3% BF. Weighed in at 178.7#, 16.9% BF on the right. Feel like I look leaner even though I went up in weight, but I think my midsection has gotten a bit out of control when not flexed. So I'll be taking the next month to work on a mini-cut before my next lake vacation coming up.

Planning on running a stack of Super Human Burn as a pre-WO, alongside M-Test, Follidrone, Rebirth, VII-KT, Eradicate-E and Gain Green. Will be dialing up cardio every WO session in addition to continuing my circuit workouts, and looking to control the cravings/snacks I've been partaking in lately.

Agree 100%.
The diet should be the staple, supplements are that "A supplement" They play such a small factor to the grand scheme of things. You could of saved a lot of money towards your essentials IMO

The fixture is not supplements its this --- "and looking to control the cravings/snacks I've been partaking in lately."
Your issue is simply your caloric context and meeting your daily quota. Do that and you could save yourself hundreds towards your bills and other investments.

Just getting back will help you alot but just coming back from injury I wouldnt worry too much. Just dont get hurt again and realize being in a deficit while trying to recover dont really go well together. Tightening the diet will help for sure.
