Donald Trump running for president

I'm a proponent of evidence. I can't forget something that you haven't shown to be true lol. Illegals may very well be mostly without immunizations or they may very well be immunized. I just haven't seen evidence one way or the other. There are a lot of programs that get immunizations out to other parts of the world, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're more immunized than you might think.

Homeless though are going to make the issue worse since they're more likely to be in environments where the rats, and therefore the disease-spreading lice, are. They're also more likely to have compromised immune systems and contribute to the spreading of trash in the city. Homeless that don't use shelters, usually do so by choice because they're into drugs and don't want to follow shelter rules, so they're not the most healthy people. But when I say fail-safes, I mean general hygiene of the public, how sewage and trash are handled, and the improvements in drugs, especially antibiotics. All of that has gotten better since the days when the world experienced bubonic plague pandemics. It's something we should still be concerned about and not take lightly, but we have a buffer that keeps it from spreading out of control. Well until an antibiotic-resistant version comes along!
as to the 1st part, interesting article from center for immigration studies[CIS}-VACINATION RATES AMONG IMMIGRANTS ARE A LEGITAMATE CONCERN.

as to 2nd part, I share your concern with antibiotic resistant diseases. mostly my concern is the over-prescribing of antibiotics. SCIENCE BASED MEDICINE-OVERPRESCRIBING ANTIBIOTICS

Of course the Center for Immigration Studies thinks that since they want to lower the number of immigrants and are one of Trump's favorites to get incorrect info from. The founder has also been a part of several hate groups and pushes for eugenics, you know, that science that the Nazis were also big fans of. What a lot of Republicans don't seem to know is that he also opened a Planned Parenthood back in the day lol.

The WHO puts global vaccinations at 85%. The CDC says the US is lower than that. I'm more concerned with soccer moms on Facebook who take their immunization advice from a former Playboy model and other clueless moms that think essential oils will cure everything.

i guess i should have taken a closer look at that site...but we agree that immunizations are necessary in todays world-how to go about enforcing them is the question.

Absolutely. Like other things, it's easy for me to be in favor of immunization for kids when I don't have kids. Side effects are possible with anything, but they're also easy to be exaggerated and used as scare tactics. Plus, parents living today haven't seen what a real outbreak can do. They haven't seen the full power of something like measles or polio. I wish that everybody would get full vaccinations for their kids, but also respect people's freedom, so it's not an easy subject. I guess I'm in favor of people being able to decide for their own kids, but actually basing that decision on facts and not false information.

hmmmm.....wonder how Dump would feel if Iran was flying drones in the Gulf of Mexico? Maybe build a taller wall?

Most stuff involving military you could probably say any president to be fair. If he truly called off a strike than that is cool...but if you guys haven’t noticed I don’t trust the government at face value lol. I know crazy lol

My kids go to school with some of these people that say vaccines are bad. I’ve heard a couple patents say they think it causes autism. Pisses me off tbh.

I always want to say “yea I thought about it but I decided I would rather have an autistic child than a dead one.” My wife won’t let me. Maybe for the best I don’t know.

You're in the right place then lol. Yeah, we have a long history of do as we say, not as we do.

My wife does autism research, so it's something that pisses us off too. Even if you did say that (and you should because it's true) they'll only accuse you of being brainwashed by big pharma or whatever other crap they've learned through their "research."

is it just my perception or are there more kids today with autism and downs than there were back in my childhood in 60-70's? I can't remember those terms even being around back then, the term that was used was 'slow'...much respect to your wife, that is a very noble pursuit.

Well he's upset that they're going against the nuclear deal that he pulled out of, so logic isn't his strongest trait lol

We lost 220 million dollars on that stupid drone to do things that would outrage people here if they flew that junk over here.

All the outrage should be on how government steals our money to buy stupid toys to spy on foreign nations that just want to mind their own business. Cant drink the water in Flint? Go screw yourself, we gotta give it to the military industrial complex...you know the losers who haven't won a war since WWII but always looking for another one. Returning vet needing medical treatment? Go screw yourself, we want to buy more remote control toys and beat off as we drop love bombs on school children in the name of freedom!

Maybe it simply wasnt as common to diagnose it those days?

Just say whatever that gives enough hope to get people to vote for shyt. Whichever party is the first to give out free iPads at the voting machines will be as solid as a rock for 4 years.

free health care...free tuition....food stamps....welfare for everyone!!! don't forget monthly checks for those unwilling to work. vote democratic-money for nothing and checks for free.

Weflare for everyone is very realistic, they would just give (cough.....steal and redistribute) everybody a certain designated amount that is "acceptable" to provide will all basic needs including shelter. I can see this happening in my lifetime.

yup...all those people willing to stay home and collect a check....totally dependent on government, sounds like a great plan.

I bet gun ownership would be 1st to go...

That’s awesome. My nephew has autism which is also why it gets to me because he is awesome. I love the little dude.

These same asshats are usually the people that think essentially oils cure everything. Nothing against if people like them but some people go way too far.

The worst is how everything is now a right. It’s getting insane. I am all for helping people who are trying, but they are going nuts with the promises. Just from an economic standpoint it just isn’t doable if we want all the great stuff we can afford with hard work. We have very large social programs as is. It’s where the majority of our debt comes from.

A lot has to do with improved diagnosis since autism is a fairly wide range of symptoms, which is why it's discussed as a spectrum. People in the past who might have been "normal" but just a little off may have had autism and simply were never properly diagnosed. Or they might have been really hyper or mean. Sometimes kids are just being kids and acting out and sometimes it's an actual medical issue. Or like you said, even when I was in grade school and high school in the 80s and 90s, the kids were described as slow or all lumped together in one special education class. A problem is when parents decide to diagnose their own kid or go doctor shopping until they get the diagnosis that they want. I see that a lot and it seems like a form of Munchausen Syndrome where the parent(s) wants attention through their kid's illness or they just want to have an excuse of why their kid acts up rather than admit they're just bad parents.

I apparently got kicked out of my first pre-school because I was being mean to the other kids. Back then (probably 79 or so) they told my mom what happened and that I couldn't come back. Today, rather than calling me out for just being an a$$****, I probably would have got slapped with an autism diagnosis.

I'm guessing then that you're not for Trump's plan to offer Palestine $50 billion as basically a bribe to take a peace deal? They claim it's private donor money, but we were also told that we wouldn't have to pay for a wall, so lol.

very interesting....your experience in 80's- 90's closely mirrors mine from 70's....there were several kids I went to school with who really struggled and couldn't wait for 16 so they could drop out. of course I came from a seriously poor neighborhood that was close to 70% black, I suppose that poor kids have much less chance of being diagnosed with illness, and much greater chance of having the criminal justice system deal with them....I truly believe that there is a element of racism that exists in this country, but how you are treated depends more on economic situation than color of skin-green is the color that matters, imo.

Another thing is back in the day some kids got shipped off or locked away. I feel like there is a lot less of that today and more acceptance.
neighborhoods were much closer back in my day, everyone knew everyones business...it would have been difficult to hide something like that back then.

At least we didn't grow up in the 40-50s when a lobotomy was a possible treatment for acting up!

I’m not for the majority of what happens in the Middle East tbh. Seems like just about all of our elected officials are. Both sides.

I know someone who rubs marijuana oils on his girlfriend thinking its going to control her cancer. Really sad.

I could think of many reasons for rubbing oils on a girlfriend, curing cancer is not one of them.

CBD oil and other marijuana-related products can help a lot with pain and nausea associated with cancer or cancer treatment, but it absolutely drives me nuts when I see people claiming that it controls or even cures cancer. It seems like you can't have somebody asking about treatments on the internet these days for anything from headaches to cancer without somebody now telling them to use CBD oil. It has its place, but some seem to think it cures everything.

Im all for cancer patients getting high, Im certain of its benefits under those circumstances but he had her brainwashed into thinking this will cure. This was last year, they live the other side of the country and I havent asked him how she is doing.

He is one of those people any negativity towards weed, he just said "hey, it comes from nature!" Ok douchehead, move into a home with high quantities of radon and chug some containers of fresh cups of crude oil. He has gotten so burnt over the years he makes me sick. I dont seem harm in casual smoking, but he is a 24/7 smoker and he clearly confirms to me why I quit 20 years ago.

That's extremely sad because there are some cancers that can be managed if you catch them and treat them early. This isn't the first case similar to this that I've heard and doubt it will be the last.

Glad that Donald fell for Pelosi's crap and called off the raids. It would have been horrible for those ICE agents to actually have to work on a weekend ;)

can't afford to pay overtime with all the 'free' stuff dems are promising, lol....lessons my generation were taught that millennials need to learn-nothing in life is free/if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is/good intentions often come with unintended consequences.

Dem promises don't cost anything since they're just promises. Republican welfare is what is driving us further into debt. I did see Bernie wanting to get rid of all student loan debt yet again. Not sure where we're supposed to get that money from either.

yeah, well i'm kinda upset with trump, my grocery bill was easily up over 30% what it was 6 months ago.

That's why he sticks with McDonalds. They got those $1 menu items lol
on a serious note, rain wind and hail are really hurting farmers here in indiana. many fields haven't been planted yet and some that have been are damaged from hail and wind...food prices might be going way up....not a good thing for a president running for re-election based on a good economy.

been reading that it was acting dhs secretary who leaked plans of raids to press. shouldn't take long to see if rumors are true....

Republicrats and Demicans need to budget money so they can raise defense spending....you can never have enough love bombs for people around the globe.

We are having the rainiest and coolest late spring I can ever remember here in lower tier NY.

Seems like there have been quite a lot of storms across the midwest recently. Not good news for anybody. The farmers felt the impact first, but I suspect American-based businesses will as well. A lot of companies get some supplies or even begin manufacturing overseas and finish here. If they can't afford the increase in price, they're going to have to let people go or close up shop.

yeah, either way I see the economy slowing down...not good for politicians on either side.

My opinion, based only on cynicism and not any facts I've seen at all, is that Trump wanted it leaked. He's used to pressuring people into getting his way. I think he likes to make a big deal about something and talk a big game, but doesn't want to follow through. In this case, I think he was hoping this would be a scare to get the Democrats to the table. Raids on a large scale like that are going to be a cluster****. There's too big of a chance for things to go wrong and for videos of people getting abused or even killed, including kids.

sad when parents of children bring them here-illegally.
I agree with that. I don't agree with them being treated worse than animals are. Our country claims to be better than this and it's not. All the bull**** we've ever been taught about never forget this and never again that is the same useless talking as "thoughts and prayers" every time there's a mass shooting.

immigration is a political mess, it's unfortunate that children are caught up in it.

both sides of the political aisle are trying to leverage this to their advantage....there is enough blame to be spread to both sides. as far as I know this has been going on for years and is not new to trump.

Both sides are to blame, but I'm blaming Trump now because I believe in "the buck stops here." If somebody wants to be the boss of a company or the leader of a country, they need to take responsibility when it's their time to lead and not just give themselves credit for wins. Republican representatives kick and scream about a mass of cells that may or may not be born, but have no problem with this current situation involving actual children. I get it, a lot of children show up and we don't have many options as to what to do with them. But the least we can do it treat them equally as humanely as we do rapists and murderers in prison. We should treat them better, but we're not even at equal to that.
