Lol, that's why I have a home gym.......I wish it had woman in yoga pants.

"Less is more." - some say.

I always suspected that I need way longer recovery time than other folks. Doing now some testing -and so far, all indicates that I'm right about that assumption. I was reviewing my workout logs over a 2 years period and found some interesting inconsistencies. A year ago I was 20% stronger on some exercises I'm still doing -on others I stalled.
Prolonging rest periods after strenuous training makes a visible change for me. Also, upping calories and especially protein on REST days, seems to work best for me, instead of concentrating food intake for workout days.
It seems I respond best to a split routine, with a once per month "max. effort" day, meaning, going more heavy with a lower rep range, instead of my masochistic "always-full-effort".

Still fiddling around -but slowly adapting my training to my new findings.

I have been fiddling a lot myself and as much is I like the idea of frequency training, and give it a shot on a regular basis that a more direct split approach with less frequency seems to have been what keeps me healthier. Not sure I need the frequency for anything else since I am not looking to get bigger just fine tune things.

I grew a lot of muscle on splits and one time a week body part work when I was young so I know it works there. I also know that a lot of older strength competitors do the once a week per movement based training for the same reason and do mobility / recovery stuff on other days. You get like 90% of the gains from the meat and potatoes work anyway. No reason to wear and tear yourself to death over that last 10% if not in meet prep or something.

I say that but man is it hard to stick to it... I love to push things hard and hate feeling like I am going through the motions. So it is hard not to get carried away and want to go full throttle.

Oh by the way I had a buddy who did a type of Alternate Day Fasting where he did the fasting on the days he trained then had 1 large meal post workout, not a crazy one but a good size meal. Then the next day while his body was recovering he slammed his calories in the 3500-4000 range. He made some great progress with that. It actually makes sense in a recovery angle to feed during the recovery. One of the big deals with the MI40 programs is the super compensation week where you take off and increase your calories quite a bit while not still digging a hole, and boom you get a lot of muscle growth that week!!!

I do now the lat pull downs as described in this vid, after pull ups. I can feel how it hits them in a unique way, even giving me doms in my lats!
 
Cruise update:
200mg test/w + 20mg anavar/d

Still making progress leaning out. One meal a day in a 3 hour window after workouts. No intermittent fasting on rest days (cals at maintenance but higher in protein). Lost some size in the first 3 weeks, now, after adjusting nutrition and resting more between workouts, my muscles are filling out a bit, especially lats and arms (lat due to exercise change, see athlean-x vid).

Started melanotan again, to curb appetite and get a tan.
 
Since I teared my hamstring, I don't use an AI (used 0.25mg adex twice a week), hopefully the extra estrogen helps with healing.
Leg is feeling fine unless trying to work out. Now starting rehab exercises, especially stretching and eccentric tension (bridge), guessing its healed in about 2-3 weeks.
 
Today was shoulders and upper back

No detailed log, because some exercises don't have a proper name, like "lat pull down with unilateral twist", as seen in the vid -or the other one: "cable one armed diagonal lat pull down" ?

Did a sh1tload of pull ups, different variations, like holding on top for 15 sec. with legs raised 90 degrees, quick as possible, slow-mo up/down. Shoulders unilateral side rises with kettle bell, isometric, holding 3x 20 sec per set.

Got a hell of a pump going with veins all over my arms and neck.

My go to topical to get some real heat on my torn hammy is capsaicin. That’s the chemical that makes jalapeño chile peppers HOT!

I’ve been smearing it on both hammy’s before working out for a while and it really seems to help get some blood down there.

We can buy it at the local drug store pretty cheap here in the U.S., about $4-$5 for a roll-on.

Have that at hand as a patch! Using it alternating with DMSO+Arnica. Had to shave part of my leg for the patch -but not entering any bikini contest soon, so nobody will know. :)

I feel like the var should give you some extra padding on the joints too! It's pretty good at promoting collagen synthesis and on 40/day for me my joints feel great.

When athlean-x says : "I wish I did those exercises sooner." Its worth listening. First time ever that I have doms in my lats. My back only got thicker -and thicker -instead of wider, if you know what I mean. Now it seems lats are spreading out a bit, I'm really exited!

I haven't heard that yet but it sounds like the DeepHeat(menthol) idea, which worked well post-workout shower for me(pre stung the skin to much intra).

I buy chilli plants from this guy...

Honestly, he is a great guy, and he has been through a lot of capsiacin testing, in particular with arthritis(to the point of being declined by scientists((personal friends))due to it being a neurotoxin).
One day he gave me blueberry pancakes with banana chilli sauce...........OMFG it's good.

Equiblock is a good capsaicin cream I always keep for a rainy day in case tendinitis shows up. It’s legally only for use on horses, so you know it’s good

If you wear a Neoprene sleeve over the area it will literally get too hot to handle.

$50, naw.... ain't happening, I have just gotten jalapeno from my hands on it and it wasn't nice...

I don't know about strong capsaicin on my skin... I know that I literally hate the way SMolder or Evicerate felt due to that. It literally make me get a rash. Maybe it wasn't just the capsaicin, there are lots of other things in there too. So it may have been a combination. It is cheap I may have to check into it by itself and see what I think. If horrible i can always toss it out.
 
Capsaicin WILL give you a rash if left on under a sleeve/wrap often.

Lucky me... I got that there sensitive skin!!! I can deal with a little just not insane. I bet it would be okay on the outer elbow but anywhere with a fold in the skin, that would probably light me up.

I put it on my lower back and sit with a heating pad on low on it, so hot but feels so good!

ramping up from 70 lbs to 140lbs

bizeps/triceps cable stuff, just for pump

No leg curls, being cautious -but thinking that I'm very close to be healed. My bet is, the low dose Anavar helped a lot, like Hyde said.

Gonna stick to the "long term low dose roids" approach. Called my contact, he has primobolan for a somewhat reasonable price -and more of the "good" anavar brand I'm currently using. Gonna invest in a small stash for the future. If its good stuff - buy more!

Next, in a few weeks, is 200mg test/w with 400mg primobolan for maybe 3 month. Then is summertime here and I should look ready for the beach.

I got some when I was much younger, it was oral and I really enjoyed it. To me it was a lot like an Anavar run I think I did 50mg a day but it has been 20+ years ago. I tightened up quickly and muscle got harder and more dense, not really bigger as in filled with volume just more dense. I loved the stuff but money kept me from revisiting.

50mg oral - you sure only 50? Chicks have to take 150+ I’ve read. My gf took 50/day with 5mg var and basically noticed she was a tad leaner than just taking 5mg var.

Eq is on my "old men benign roids list". LOL
Trying to convert "blasts" into "enhanced cruises". I doubt anyone else would see 400mg primo/w + 200mg test/w as a blast, I do.

If cruising like this keeps the lean gains coming then the only reason to blast would be to push past a plateau or to gain some fast size to mature after.
It's a shame you get 19nor sides so bad, definitely would make you think about things differently to the norm.
