There are only 2 genders prove me wrong

Yes, assigning somebody the designation male or female based on social/cultural criteria NOT biological. That is why genders can be more than two. Biologically there is male and female and the correct term is sex. Over the years, due to misuse, gender and sex have been used interchangeably, but that isn't correct.
So gender is a role one assumes? Then there should be more than 63?

So gender is a role one assumes? Then there should be more than 63?

I didn't post the 63 thing and I don't want to put a finite number on the possibilities. I'm simply pointing out that the OP wants to defend their position by saying something is basic biology and they're not using the correct terms. Sex or biological sex is male or female. Gender is more behavioral/psychological and is what you feel like you are or what your particular society/cultural calls you. It gets even more complicated when you consider genetic mutations, because there are people who are not simply male because they have XY chromosomes or female because they have XX.

Unfortunately people on both sides of the issue get it wrong. There are just as many people saying they want to identify as this or that as there are people worried that the world is somehow going to be taken over by transexuals. And then you have people like comrade troll who started this thread and spreads lies like the one that people are getting arrested for incorrect use of pronouns (thank you for calling him out on that).

Your welcome
So can someone just assume a gender?
If a gay man assumes a straight male gender, he's still a gay man correct?
The getting to pick a gender is the part I'm calling BS on.
Do you get to choose or is your gender just your gender? That's where I get stuck.

This is where some have made it harder for others. You can call yourself whatever you want, but that doesn't mean I have to accept it. If you look like a dude and I call you sir, don't get pissed off at me...I didn't make the rules, but this is the society and how it has been for a very long time. That said, if we're friends, I will try my best to watch how I talk out of respect. There are legitimate people who were born with a genetic mutation or a hormonal condition, etc that truly don't feel like the phenotype that their body displays. Then there are people who are just going through a college phase or want attention and make it harder for people who really are trans.

It's not about sexual orientation or even really choosing. Gender is going to be what you feel, or rather this is how it should be. Think of it this way: Are you a boy, but you like pink and dancing? Are you a girl, but like blue and playing with trucks. Our society has set up roles for boys and girls, but not all boys and girls fit perfectly into those roles. Overall, it's a complicated subject that only gets worse online lol

I feel like I should be able to sexually identify as an supra-masculine alpha male and receive hrt to be able to hormonally achieve how I see myself on the inside
So I still don't understand how trans folks can get non medically necessary hrt but normal men cannot without having low t..

It's a huge process, including psychological evaluation, and not everybody is getting it. It's not like they're handing it out on the corner lol

Having family from there, sorry man, that's just what the ladies look like :P
Haha.. right.. but here I have yet to meet one trans person that has been denied for hrt(and I'm counting friends of friends) but It still seems like the logic for its necessity could be extended to men who don't feel manly enough naturally in their view.. I also think the lbgt issues kinda gets mixed in with feminist movements stuff and that makes the conversation become much more aggressive many times.. maybe it's just here that it's blended.. idk I don't follow all of it really.. in some areas the feminist movement is getting a little weird here.. like girls not shaving armpits or legs... Refusing deodorant because "girls can stink after a hard Day's work too".. I got my head bitten off by a girl cuz she had wrote something down for me and said "if you can read my chicken scratch" and I responded with "no you have girl handwriting so it's neat and easy to read." And Oooooomg did she get pissed.. we also had the same haircut.. it was thoroughly uncomfortable..

And I get the whole pronoun thing as far as respect out of your relationship with a person and what not..I have some issues grasping alot of social interaction stuff normally.. it's all very confusing to me because its beginning to add more social expectations to figure out.. it's hard not to feel like I shouldn't be pressured into going along with someone else's lifestyle choices..

Like everything, I think there are a lot of open minded people that just want to live their lives and be good people in the middle. The media (all of it, CNN, Fox, whatever) doesn't typically report on that. They report the extremes in both directions, so you have people thinking that there are mass armies of people that want to change genders and mass armies of people who want to kill them. It would be great to meet and figure out issues, but everybody starts mixing things like you said and it always ends in confusion and arguing.

There is one gender missing in the list:
-Mouth breeder

Remember, a real mouth breeder does not swallow.

So, we’ve all agreed there are only two genders? Nice. Good hob fellas.

We agreed there are only two sexes but many (imaginary) genders.
My sex is:male
My gender is: "non-binary unipolar penile twister"

I demand my own bathroom and want to be referred to as: "his penile excellency"

What about using it to create an army of clones and forcing them to worship their matriarch as a god and wipe her enemies existence from the earth?..

If you're asking if I would choose a blowjob over saving the world, you might want to start saying bye to everybody

This thread needs more cowbell.

You're right. It would appear this guy/gal/person has two accounts. Spelling errors look similar, and they are always paired in the same thread together.

I don't like when its on the tax payer dime.
If you got the cash then go ahead get your pecker pushed in and get some tits. Start shooting estrogen. But I'm really not ok paying for it.
I've seen lots of men get government assisted women hormone treatment. Not and actual operation but enough hormone to grow tits.
A lot of times it is just a phase. Or its just a gay hooker that knows he can make more money with tits.
If you got med-cal its free in Cali.

If you get a chance look into how easy it is in Cali. About 6-9 months. Just like SSI . you keep going twice a week and keep your story straight you get the hormones. The actual operation is way more intense.
There is a lot of fraud and abuse.

The straw thing is sorta true.
You have to ask now, just like water.
There is people sleeping in the park and they trip on straws.

I get the water for conservation in a draught although farmers are steeling water and making matters worse by inneficient arrogation which is another story altogether. The straw thing, I'm ok with. You can drink from a modified cup to make it easier, but I never liked straws. Yep. I'm a straw bigot. :D I've always taken the lids off and drank right from the cup or put the straw aside and used the glass. Germs make you stronger...

Homeless people sleeping in parks is an issue. Most homeless have psych issues that have been undiagnosed or they go off meds and their family cannot deal with it. It's a destructive and horrible situation. We can't seem to take care of people in real need. Maybe this topic however idiotic has brought up something better.

I think there is a hat that decides gender, just like the hat that decides what house in wizardry school people are in.

The sorting hat, I think it’s called.

I don't care what you want to identify yourself as, but if you look like a male, I will refer to you as one. If you look like a female, I will refer to you as a female.

If you identify as something else, that is weird and I don't understand it. But, I won't be rude to you. I also probably won't hang around you anyways.

The only thing that bothers me is people who get mad when you say "he" or "she" and instead, want you to say "they" "them" "they're" when referring to someone who chooses to identify as something different than what has been known for thousands of years. I'm sorry, but the English language has associated those words with plural meanings forever. The whole English language will not change because you want to identify as a giraffe with no genitals at all.

What did giraffes do to you? Leave them alone!

For instance, Roseanne calls a woman an ape and it is racist. But people on the "non-racist" side have called Trump the offspring of an orangutan and that was OK. Why? Because Trump is white. The differentiation of the two comments being right or wrong is ONLY based on the color of the subject's skin. Isn't the idea that skin color doesn't matter? If that is the standard than how is it OK to say something about a white person and not a black person? The color of your skin should be no different than the color of your hairs or eyes, and nobody ever says, "Oh you can't say that - his eyes are blue!!"
I think this one is more related :)

I get it. Man / Woman. Grunt. Do you feel better?

To address the main title of your thread scientifically, which is what got my hackles up. Scientifically, you have no leg to stand on. There are 63 genders, [scientifically] speaking. Life goes on, and people will live as they wish. You've been scientifically proven wrong. (Pounds chest, eats banana...)

Banana bad. Can we move on with our lives now?

63 Genders

those aren't genders. The word has a definition. Those are sexual preferences, and visual presentations

Well, it kind of is by multiple medical institutions.

but they get attacked now for saying its a mental illness. Even though you can statistically show the level of mental illness that goes along with it - depression, drug use, suicide rates, etc it still is against political correctness to say transsexuals have a mental illness that is a body dysmorphia

So I guess the issue isn't that people associate one way or another - and it isn't even that they get offended because of their own beliefs. The issue seems to be that they feel entitled and think that everyone else should change because they shouldn't feel offended.

I think this one is more related :)

The point I was making is slightly different. The point was it is OK to call a whit person the offspring of an ape, but Roseanne made the same comment about a black person and it went off the rails.

It isnt that there is a double standard in this case, it is that the people who are calling racism are basing what is right and wrong on the color of a person's skin. Ape comments for white people are fine, but for black people they are not.

If it is OK to say, the color of the recipoent's skin doesnt matter. And if it is wrong to say, the color of the recipients skin does not matter. But the people calling racism are actually being racist.

All I really know for sure is, Left Twix is better than Right Twix.
There. I said it. Fight-me!

this very thing is getting worse and worse every day

ppl think it's ok to fight racism with racism...but that's never going to solve anything, it just makes it worse and expands the ignorance

You should fight racism with love. It's not easy! I am usually just in shock and without words.
Some guy walked up to me one day and the first words out of his mouth were, "Do you speak English?"

My shock passed after a moment of being stunned which made him feel justified in asking his question for a moment, but my follow-up was more than entertaining for those around us. My reply:

My good man, if you are having difficulty with the etymology of any words in the English language, just ask and don't feel embarrassed. I'm quite versed in the idiosyncratic pronouns; conjugations, and structures. Which words are giving you the most trouble? (In my best proper Cockney)

He walked away, spoke with someone about me; pointed, then left. Nobody bothered speaking to me about it.
Who wants to learn?

The thing is, people are taught that being biased or discriminating is wrong. It is NOT wrong. It is an innate survival mechanism that we have to protect us.

But often our discrimination is NOT logical and we should recognize that and use our discrimination appropriately. We should also recognize discrimination as a survival technique that protects US from our own weaknesses.

For instance, a weak person walking down an unknown street in a strange city may look at any number of people with any number of traits and be fearful and discriminate and avoid talking to those people. That is because these people pose a perceived threat or unknown - and the person is weak and realized they may not be able to handle that unknown if things go wrong, so they avoid.

A strong person who is capable will perceive far fewer threats and be much more likely to engage someone with traits the weaker person avoided.

But that doesn't make it wrong, it makes it a survival mechanism.

And an intelligent person will recognize that some of the traits they view as threats are only being viewed as threats because they are unfamiliar and sometimes downright stupid.

For instance, avoiding a 300 pound gorilla of a man who could rip your arms off is one thing. Avoiding someone because they have a certain shade of skin is stupid...their skin tone is likely of little advantage in a conflict.

All in all, while it is a survival tactic, it reflects our own weaknesses when we discriminate.

It's racist because it was historically used as a racist comparison.

I feel like vader when i say leftiest scum must be eradicated (only the real extremeists aka the cancer cells)

I made a post exactly like this, but about right-wing extremists, and got banned from this forum just over a year ago. I guess it's ok when it's the other way around here lol... (sarcastic laugh)

This is more of a debate tbh not so much an attack. I think extreme left are crazier as they constantly contradicts them selfs and creates false info then tries to spread it

I understand that, which is kind of the point. Skin color shouldn't matter. It is a stupid comparison regardless of whether it is about skin color, hair color, etc.

The color of your skin is no different than the color of your hair or eyes....unfortunately it wasnt always that way. We can't have a future free of racism though if we base it on the racism of the past.

No, you don't understand. Skin color does matter and you're saying that black people should just get over being called apes because it's not fair to whites? We're all just supposed to forget the past?

I think trying to ignore race is silly. Its the most obvious thing about a person, besides male or female.
Races are different. I'm cool with that. Im glad we aren't all the same.
Even medical screening takes into account race. Its ok. Its ok to notice race and sex.
IMO.
