I hear you. I'm the same way at times too, but there's the same 24 hrs in everyone's day. So it's all about how you use it - or at least that's how the saying goes. My motivation for workouts is lacking a bit with these early mornings. That's the issue with home workouts since i always feel like I can just sleep in or something. Just picked up some Boston Cream Pie myprotein whey. Not much at the moment supplement wise interesting me.

Finally got some rest this weekend. Needed this long weekend after the work week i had. Slept "in" - which these days means going back to sleep for an extra half hour to an hour after getting up with the baby. Went with a dose of melatonin fri night, went with a sample packet of G8 last night. While sleep was good, woke up this morning feeling clear headed mentally, but groggy physically. After some breakfast, just felt mentally off as well. Thinking the GABA/phenibut combo is too much. Phenibut alone hasn't had this effect.

Weighed in at 165.0# yesterday. According to fitbit, my 30 day trend is progressing steadily even with the recent spikes and dips. Been easily aggravated lately. Just been set off by lots of little things. Likely a combo of stress at work and lack of me time. Also have been very sleepy lately. Yesterday had a Grande macchiato and 1 cap of Velocity XT in the afternoon and literally took a nap immediately after with no issue falling asleep. Tolerance to caffeine must have come back super quick.

Had a good cheat meal or two this weekend. Nephew had a birthday so we got him some pizza and cake, and yesterday went to an impromptu labor day BBQ so had a beer. Back on track today.

Needed to ensure I was done on time this morning, so modified the session.

Well, illness has kept me sidelined for the past several days. Hit me hard, crashed on Thursday and have been on a cocktail of vitamin C and cold meds, so no working out since Tuesday. Been off all supps as well, just starting back up today with my morning dose of Ep1c/agmatine. Going to hold off on creatine and XT until tomorrow. Planning to hit the gym in the AM so we'll see how that goes.

Ended up doing Tues/Thurs this week, with a weekend workout hopefully squeezing in. Tues was a circuit of shoulders, today a circuit of chest:

Bench 3 x 12
DB incline press 3 x 10

TRX chest press 3 x 10

Circuits have been a necessity due to timing lately. Things should calm down a bit in October.
 
Hit the gym yesterday and today. Getting some bloodwork done tomorrow, so didn't want to miss out on this week's first WO. Switched up to Mesomorph again and man does that make a difference! Crash is bad though. Sweating good during my circuit workouts.

Out of Creapro3, but as Meso has creatine nitrate / dicreatine malate, I may or may not supplement now. Also finished Dermastrength. I have another bottle, but saving it.

Took a packet of Noxitropin last night to sleep and that worked well. Less grog in the morning than G8.

Today is the last dose of EP1C Unleashed and agmatine caps. Also finished up my tub of Allmax BCAAs. Not sure I got anything out of my split dose of agmatine on off days. Will be switching over to Xtend Endure for intra BCAAs plus carbs next.

Been taking Mesomorph lately and it's been great. Also just purchased a tub of Sparta Kraken Sour Gummy Bears, so we'll see how that treats me in comparison!

Looking at my cabinet, I've actually got an open tub of USP Labs Aminolift, so will use that intra. Also have an unopened tub of Fermented Leucine, so will add that in as well. Topping it off, will add Amentomax on WO days.

Increasing Velocity XT 2.0 to 3 caps per day on off days, and 2 caps on WO days.

Excited that my Kraken came in yesterday, so mixed up 1 scoop in 10 oz of water and down the hatch it goes! Flavoring is kind of like a light blue raspberry. Was hoping for a bit more, but next time I'm going to use less water. Taking this pre, along with 2 caps Amentomax and 2 caps Creatrona.

Edit: Kraken is great, nice smooth, clean focus. Not over stimmed. Hoping there's no crash! Great mood elevating effect as well.

Time to get it. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. It's October, fall, which means bulking season. Couldn't motivate myself for leaning, so let's go all out. Got a clean bill of health from the doc, got a full body massage to loosen up the knots in my back and tightness in my quads. Time to lose the dad bod. Beast mode.

Will be posting all new set of stats and progress pics to hold me accountable. Back to counting cals to ensure adequate protein intake.

Pre: 1 scoop Kraken, 2 g fermented leucine, 2 caps Amentomax.

Well, I was wondering if it would happen. Crashed HARD today off Kraken. Practically fell asleep driving home in the car. Nodded off at home. Was alert all day from morning until 5ish. The positive mood effects are out of this world, but I may need to dial it back during the work week if the crash is this bad...
 
Had a tension headache all day yesterday, assuming from elevated BP. Added in 1 g of Hawthorne berry yesterday and will be continuing today. Thinking about picking up some KNO3 as well for acute uses.

Used a 1/2 scoop of Kraken this AM for back and it still got me going, so will see if this helps limit the crash. I will likely start mixing Kraken with my Xtend, as I'm only getting to start drinking my BCAAs with how short my workouts are.

Yeah, thankfully with 1 g of Hawthorne berry in the AM that has taken care of things.

Strength is hard to measure since i switched over to circuits, due to the high volume and no rest. All weights went down when i made the switch over, but I'll keep an eye on it.

Took new progress pics today and ugh. Disappointed to the point i won't show some of them. Although i feel my chest is coming up, so that was a plus. I'll post a few soon.

Today is a vacation day - taking a long weekend with the fam, but still got up early for my arm workout. Enjoy the weekend all!
 
Weight came in on Monday at 168.5 (+3#). All those donuts from this past weekend, haha. Added an extra cap of Hawthorne pre-bed as well, so a total of 1.5 g per day.

Skipped Friday as i would've only gotten 4 hrs of sleep due to the baby. Workout this afternoon was off, strength down today strangely. My left shoulder gave me some problems on bench, so that may have been part of it.

Weighed in this morning at 169.5#, so up another lb. Currently starting week 3 of my bulk. Expecting weight gain to be more difficult from here on out and will need to better monitor protein uptake. Currently, I've been doing 5 meals a day, but i will be upping to 6.

Well, order arrived Friday, but they shipped me an incorrect version of an item. We'll see how long it takes to get it corrected.

Took 3 mg of melatonin last night to help fall asleep, woke up super tired this morning. Drank half a rockstar energy drink to get me going, after my morning cup of coffee. Took a nap this afternoon too, so now i feel great!

Early meeting tomorrow means no workout, so will be starting Tuesday this week. Been trying to eat more cals, but man do i hate how i feel when bulking. I feel bloated all the time. Just saw a tip about downing a shake with every meal to help get in cals without feeling overly full, but also I picked up several different protein bars (quest cereal bars, oh yeah bars) so I'll be supplementing at least one a day.
 
Another thing you could do is add some oil or something like chia or hemp seeds to your shakes to get cals up, if you can afford higher fats in your diet!

Good idea. I already add PB to my prebed shake, which currently consists of:

1 scoop whey (currently myProtein Boston Creme pie)
8 oz vanilla unsweetened almond milk
1/2 frozen banana
2 tbsp peanut butter
1 tsp dark cocoa powder

But tonight I'll try adding in some coconut oil to the mix. Also realized that myProtein is only 18 g per scoop, so on the lower side compared to other brands. I'll start upping to 1.5 scoops so that would hit 27 g.

Weighed in today at 171 lbs, up 1.5# since last week, so still gaining.

Tried the Quest cereal bar (cinnamon roll) today and honestly wasn't that impressed. Usually i have either a Chobani or a Clif bar in the afternoon, but that's only about 11 g protein. The Oh Yeah bars come in at 26 g.
 
How do you like the MyProtein flavors? Their BCAAs are so light on flavoring it made me hesitant on trying any of their proteins.

They are light, I remember the chocolate was more milk chocolate than anything else. I'd say it's more comparable flavor wise to European chocolate vs American chocolate, make sense? Cost-wise you can't beat them, but it's still my back up for when i can't get a good deal on other brands that have higher protein content.

Hit some cardio and a super quick shoulder workout yesterday as i only had about 15 mins after some biking. Did a light weight quad set and had probably the best shoulder pump in my life! Shoulders def looked 3D.

Yeah that makes sense. They are definitely dirt cheap, I'll probably give it a try so I know if I can tolerate it or not when I need some cheap protein.

Yuck. That tends to be a problem with coconut oil. In college my go-to was EVOO because it never did that, even if it's a little gross.

Circuits with no rest in between exercises are definitely giving a great pump and I'm hitting good isolation with lower weights, but I'd like to test strength soon. Failed on some of the exercises today, but feeling real wide lately.

Wireless headphones died midway through my workout, that's the worst. Anyone have specific clothing brands they go with for athletic fit work appropriate clothes? Tried on a button down yesterday which tapered right, but was too tight in the arms and across the chest. Work in an office setting, so no casual clothes for me.
 
Went ham this weekend on meals. Friday night the wife and I had our first evening outing without the baby and went to a Greek restaurant. Yesterday hit up a local BBQ & beer joint. Today will be game day food. Here's what i had at some of my best meals.

Friday dinner:
Appetizers of grilled octopus, fried cheese, tomato and feta, hummus.
Chilean sea bass over veggies.
Half a honey cheese cake.
Half a manhattan.
One cappuccino.

Lunch Saturday:
Brisket cheese steak.
Order of housemade kettle cooked potato chips.
Half an order of french fries.
Flight of beers (equivalent to one 16 oz beer).
Slice of a brown betty Apple pie.

Game day:
2 slices meat lovers pizza.
2 slices pepperoni pizza.
Equivalent of 1 beer (it's stout season).
1 slice of Trader Joe's pumpkin bread.

I actually used to be all about the dark beers, but lately I've been into ipas and double ipas. But as it gets colder, stouts are back on the menu. Trying to make sure that i don't go overboard though with my beer consumption!

I don't like the hoppiness of IPAs, lol I'm all about the dark beers pretty much year round. A good summer shandy is fine by me though!
 
Switched it up a bit and went with 3/4 a scoop of Mesomorph. Hit quick and helped wake me up. Felt the tingles. Skipped my Xtend today due to timing, as i sipped my pre throughout the W/O.

Woke up at 174.5# (+3.5#) today. Had an incredible arm pump, one of those sessions where afterwards showering seems difficult to raise your arms overhead.

Something in it gives me the tingles and makes me feel as if my extremities are hot. Not a fan. About to hit the sack, so it was effective as I'm working to keep my eyes open.

Back from the West Coast. Here's the good and bad.

Good: Went for a run outdoors Sunday morning since i couldn't sleep, and got in a chest workout on Monday at the hotel gym. Went with a traditional 3x10 workout using DBs and cables. Also did a crazy amount of walking, hit over 20k steps on Sunday.

Bad: Super sore from my run. Both in my quads and shins. Probably overstepped a bit... Went overboard with eating. Always hard to stay on track when traveling. Timing and macros are always off. Also had a few more drinks than was good for me.

However, another 2.0# up today after a week and a half, bringing my weight up to 176.5#. This should put me in a good situation for when it's time to cut down, which should be another month or so. Got in a short back workout today.

Monday was a leg day, least favorite day. Walking lunges always destroy my legs after.

Have to travel for work today, but still able to put in the real work, lol. My left shoulder felt tight, almost like something was impinged. Started before working out, so just normal issues... Probably should get it taken a look at sometime soon.
