Bam Bam's Journey to the Stage!

How do you feel? Confident enough for the stage?

Well at 7 weeks out I'm obviously not in stage-ready condition, but as far as I know I'm on track to come in peeled. So I'm feeling pretty confident at this point in time and as motivated as ever to keep killing it in the gym and sticking to my diet.

Next phase starts tomorrow. 359g protein, 124g carbs, 60g fat. About 2500 cals.
Time to get lean!
Cardio is still 20 min on the stairs at level 5-7 intensity, 5x a week post workout
 
That's a lot of unnecessary protein, but I don't know anything about competing:)

From the articles I've read consuming that much protein has no benefit. Point of diminishing returns, however I do understand that you have to get calories from protein, fat or carbs and that protein would be the best source.

Still doesn't mean your body can use 400g of protein a day, but I get it.

I think it comes down to calories. Protein has the greatest thermic effect and doesn't seem to contribute to fat gain like too many carbs/fat. When it comes to protein more is always better ime, I try and hit at least 300g a day and I am nowhere near competing haha

Yeah I think the point is to meet my caloric needs while still able to cut carbs

Also remember that when using gear, your ability to utilize higher protein is greatly enhanced.
 
Weight dropped quick with this diet update. 209.4 yesterday, and meant to look again today but forgot to until after my first meal, and was at 210.0. So I'm guessing I was 209 or even less when I first woke up.
Also looked at some old pics this morning and thought this comparison of freshman year of college (4 yrs ago) to yesterday was pretty cool. ~10lb difference in body weight.

6 weeks out pics. 210 yesterday. At the gf's house for the weekend. She's not as happy with her prep as mine so it's been reallll fun.

Haha well it's definitely a cheat when you're barely eating over 100g carbs a day! Especially if you get 2 burritos like I'll be doing.
I don't think I've had that one! I've been fantasizing about Oreo or Reese's milkshakes lately.

Sounds like a plan brother. Need those food porn photogs too! Chipotle is still pretty good IMO, but the one near me skimps like a mother****er on the meats.

I usually get double chicken or double steak, with double white rice, fajita veggies, maybe some salsa and a little cheese and I'm good
The trick is to ask for single, and then go "oh actually could I get double?" That way they don't skimp you on the double

Woke up at 208.0 the day after I was 214.7, and have been bouncing between that and 211 since then. Felt kinda drained the last couple days but today I hyped myself up for leg day and it got intense.

Lying leg curls
20 reps, 15 reps to warm up with increasing weight. Working sets with the full stack, 200 I think, 15, 15, 12 dropset 150x8 and again drop to 100x7

RDLs
135x15, 185x15, 4x225x15

Standing single leg curls
3 sets, 50lbs, 12 reps

Walking lunges
Just kept doing one full length of the turf at my gym. Maybe 30 feet?
110lbs, 135, 185, failed about 3/4 of the way with 225. Next time I'll make it the whole length.

Seated leg curls
7x50x12 with 20-30 second rests

Chose today as my only day without cardio this week. I don't think I would've survived after those lunges!
 
And some end of the day, post workout shots. Not the greatest determinant of progress but with 5 meals in me I'm not all that bloated or blurred.

How come you have gyno? Was it 'unfixable' with ai/serm/ DA at the time it occured?

What's DA? But yeah, pretty much. Once you've got it, it's pretty much impossible to get rid of without getting surgery.
 
Tried something a little different with arms today. I started off with a tri/bi superset as usual, and another one, then did a bicep mega set with standing barbell curls, dumbbell hammer curls, and preacher curls. 3 sets of that and then a megaset for triceps doing close grip press on the smith machine, bodyweight dips, and overhead triceps extensions with an EZ bar. Just take some AMP-5, that will have you're vasc up what sort of music you into?

Mostly rap and rock. I was kinda thinking something from Godsmack? Rap is hard to do while keeping it clean.
 
I usually go house music lol. Honestly, I hate the individual routine so much. My first two shows I worked super hard on my routine and music and then was kinda like, wtf? Idk, just don't care for it. I envy guys who enjoy it. It's your time to shine. Just line my ugly ass up next to other people and call out poses lol
