Not In N Out - Matt brought us to this place with Bison Burgers. I've never had bison. I will be having more.

I THINK Rosie enjoyed her burger, but...I don't really know since I never ACTUALLY saw her eating it. It was there, I took a bit of mine and looked back and she was wiping her mouth with a napkin, no burger I'm site.

Honestly, I just assume EVERYBODY knows you and I assumed the same of Rosie.

And honestly, I have known OF Rosie for a while, we may have interacted on a couple threads on here....But like she said she hasn't been active. She knows DSade well... And stayed with us at Matt's place over the weekend and I got to know her.

As far as thinking highly of her....I certainly admire her eating skills. And she is so friggin hot when she says "Tennis".

Oh, and she knows her sh1t.

I just got home from a 13 hour drive back. I got on the scale since I haven't since Thursday morning and Matt has been very generous in making sure Rosie and I were well fed...And I honestly couldnt allow a 105 pound woman (Rosie) to out eat me...She is a bad influence. I had burgers, deep dish pizza, lots and lots of Cake Bites (Rosie KILLED me on these), about 6-7 donuts over 2 days, and...I don't know....I am sure I am forgetting things.

Anyway, my nighttime weight is around 190-192 over the past few weeks and I was waking up 4-5 pounds lighter.

Tonight, I got home and I weigh 188.8. so I likely dodged a bullet and lost a pound. Don't ask me. Don't. Ask. Me.

Spent the day driving 3 hours to a meeting and 3 hours back. Got home and had work to do and then I was just too tired to workout.

Looking forward to getting back at the gym tomorrow.

After having seen him in person, he's full of ****. He's not in bad shape at all, especially around the middle. I think he sees something else in the mirror than reality shows.

Thanks for checking in on me man. I DO appreciate it. I have a bunch of different balls in the air and my diet and working out is taking a bit of a back seat. I've been completely drained and I think I'm at a point in life where I have to make a decision - a decision that most people have to make at some point and many of us are not lucky enough to realize we are even making it (if that makes sense).

I am in commercial real estate. I have a kind of "side" job where I provide property valuations for banks. I started doing it before I even got into real estate full time, when I was between jobs in 2006. At the time, no one wanted to do these opinions of value because they were too busy selling (it was the peak of the market) and I was sitting at home trying to decide where to go next and one of the agents that worked for my mom sent me an email - when I questioned her on what it was she said, "It is a complete waste of time, you have to drive to the property and take photos and then fill out a form and all you get is $50."

I was doing nothing anyway, so I figured if I did 10 a month I could use an extra $500 while I figured out what to do next. Well, in quick order I realized that things became much more profitable if I was driving a pre-planned route to get the photos all in a batch and I was soon doing 100-150 of these orders per month. The market crashed in the meantime and everyone was asking me how to get into doing what I was doing...come back 3 years ago when no one wanted to do this.

Well, over the years, that part of the job has become VERY draining. It takes a lot of time, time that keeps me from selling. But I couldn't give it up in my mind because, "It pays the bills". Sales in commercial real estate can literally take years of work and then fall apart at the very end and leave you with nothing. So, I hang onto this part of the job like a life raft.

Over the past week I've realized, however, it doesn't REALLY pay the bills. I'm still digging a hole. Only, instead of using a shovel, I'm using a trowel so I can lie to myself and tell myself it's not that bad. And the time it takes keeps me from selling. And then when I DO have time to sell, I have finally realized that I am completely drained from the mind numbing work that I am ineffective.

I literally figured this out 2 days ago and spent yesterday putting my sales calls first and the opinions of value last and I felt SO much more energized.

Well, you know what they say - "If you starve yourself, your metabolism will adjust and you will go into stavation mode and get fat." Well, I am applying that SAME logic - I should be able to rebound from all this fat gain very nicely. I'm going to gain my way to a six pack!!! Rev up that metabolism! I've been starting with a nice, high carb (danish, donuts, whatever) breakfast to get my metabolism going every morning - then I eat frequent meals (oreos, pizza, whatever) about 8 times a day. My metabolism must just be humming by now. I'm at about 7000 calories a day and expect to start dropping fat ANYTIME now.

OK, reality - I'm not eating "well". But the thing is, after having been so strict for so long, eating normal feels like cheating. haha. It's pretty damned easy. I probably would be gaining some weight, but DCP, Epitome and Brite have me pretty well covered at least for maintaining. I wish I could have shown more progress in this thread to show what the products can really do, but that's life I guess.

The product I am MOST impressed with that I didn't really expect much from, however, is BMP. I mean, go back in the log and look - I was at 400 X 5 for the LONGEST time on deadlifts. In less than a month I increased that 25 pounds while taking BMP and without bulking. And it felt good, i felt strong doing it if that makes sense.

So kinda like a tick?

Haha, thanks man. I suspect I carry more muscle than I think or most people realize. I definitely have a spare tire issue - you didn't see me with my shirt off, but I'm surprised you didn't notice when we were cuddling and your gf wasn't looking. I think most people look at me and in normal society I'm fairly lean at this point - but I'm easily 20%, scale says 25%, and at 5'8'' a healthy BMI places me at 160 pounds. Not that I care about that so much, But I don't carry that much muscle yet that I would throw the BMI out the window as a guage. If I could get to 180# and be 10% I would be thilled, but I suspect that will be a few years in the making still...4-5?

I've got a small structure I think...but that's why I catch people off guard with my strength maybe? Oh, yeah, and I know I'm hard on myself. Ain't we all?

Ammo. I had to stop taking it because it was crushing cortisol so much and I was going through so many different stressful situations. I don't have bloods, but I have been telling people this - when I ran 11-KT at 750 mg/day, I was taking 375 mg pre-bed because it gave me CRAZY good sleep.

2 caps of Ammo knocked me cold but actually woke me up around at 4-5 like when cortisol gets too low. But essentially, from a sleep perspective, 2 caps ammo were at least = to 375 mg of 11-KT from just a cortisol perspective. Now, 11-KT at those doses has some anabolic properties too I believe, but you get the point.

Yeah, no one else got that. I know ryane85 will get it too. That video seems lame now, but it was a defining moment of hope, friendship, excitement in my young life. And it was TOTALLY AWESOME.

So, my diet isn't in check but screw this, I'm back. I miss you guys too. Plus, I see SFreed may be cutting up a little in the six week challenge thread and I am motivated by that.

Over the past couple months I've been trying to play around and figure out how to control some of the weird hunger issues I've had. The epitome helps a little but doesn't have the impact a lot of people report. I've been focusing on the leptin hormone, but I am starting to wonder if I have insulin resistance ...or even full on diabetes.

I've found some interesting connections. One is, I have a very weak, almost no, sense of smell. Turns out elevated insulin levels reduce your sense of smell, and intramural insulin improves sense of smell. I think this indicates insulin resistance may impair olfactory sense.

Diabetics often have a low body temp and cold hands and feet. So do I.

I also have a 40" waist and even at 165 I held fat around my stomach and had a 37" waist. Even with my abs showing. Compare this to some of you guys who are over 190 or 200 with smaller waists.

Diabetics often complain of increased hunger when insulin is high, and often talk about wanting more and more sugar once they start eating it. This is exactly the pattern I follow and I never become full once in this pattern.

I started researching diabetes because of a suspicion my grandmother may be insulin resistant, saw the hunger connection and started taking berberine to see if that helped with the hunger,. After a few days I started noticing that I was smelling odors a little better (which is why I looked into the connection to smell).

I have been starting to add a very small amount of oats into my diet and trying to cut out sugar. I feel like my sleep is improved, my energy is slowly improving, etc. This is hardly a diagnosis...I need to get a meter and check...but these steps should be healthy steps any way you cut it, even if I am not diabetic.

Oh, and I have NOT been able to get into ketosis hardly ever ...even on the PSMF. It turns out when you are me to adapted, you become efficient at burning ketones and there won't be any in your urine. But, how am I me to adapted when I never could get into it in the first place? Maybe because I am in ketosis even when my blood sugar is high because my insulin isn't getting the glucose into cells and that means I have to burn fat/ketones.

Again, no official diagnosis, just theories. I will get a meter eventually.

I'm a fierce proponent of berberine -and the 3 main herbs who produce this alkaloid. I've used it for many years for all kind of infections, especially gastro intestinal and UI -and to combat metabolic syndrome.
I found the whole herb powders (oregon grape, goldenseal, barberry) to be more efficient than berberine hcl.

Without looking this info up again, I read some studies who claim that long term berberine supplementation is catabolic.

Yeah, I've read about it being catabolic - it is an AMPK activator ...but I figure insulin resistance is probably catabolic too. Haha.

I interesting that the whole herbs worked better. Honestly, there are some things out there that I think we focus too much on extractions. Some whole herbs have such incredible ingredients that it is better to take them as a whole and get all of them rather than higher dosing just one.
