Is well known that 6/8g of citrulline helps with pump, but how long before the workout starts should it be taken?

Some says 15 minutes, others says 1 hour.
Personally I trust examine.com so I go with 40/60min before as for caffeine pills

30-45 minutes is a good rule of thumb for any pre-wo ingredient
 
I take it in my pre and my bcaas not to hijack your post OP but what do you guys think about during workout?
 
30 minutes pre here, I don't see much need for use intra unless it is a long lift, at least long enough to allow the 30 minutes + have enough time left to reap the benefits

I'd say maybe if your lift was 90 minutes or more
 
Research has shown 45-60 minutes is a good time to use citrulline. If it's liquid form it could be a lot shorter more like 10-15 minutes and it has a much higher absorption rate then using a powder form.
 
I take it 45 min before workout and on non-workout days I sip on it during the day for a nice veiny look all day long.

I was known to add either that or agmatine into BCAAs on occasion for that effect
 
Something to be said about having people stare at you because the tops of your hands and forearms are road mapped just by picking up a pen or fork. :)
 
I like taking it 10-15 minutes pre then it starts to kick in mid workout and my pump is sick.
 
also new research that I have done shows that agmantine and citrulline are a better stack then AAKG and citrulline which I was using. Permaswole from Chaos and Pain has 2g of citrulline and 500mg of agmanitine so at 2 scoops and cannibal ferox at half a scoop at 2g. Gets me my 6g of citrulline for my size at 6'4 255 that works best for me. and I just add 1-2 more grams of agmantine. That added to the permaswole with beta alanine and other ingredients make it awesome and better then most pump products.
 
I end up at about 30 minutes pre. I'll drink my pre before leaving the house and it's a ~12-15 minute drive to the gym. By the time I get there, get in, loosen up and start, it's about that 30 minute window.

As for AAKG, I know it's still in things, but I thought it was pretty much common knowledge that it was mostly worthless for a while, now. Agmatine and citrulline blow it out of the water.
