thebigt, I in fact did dose both caps this morning, maybe I didnt correctly put that on my log. But, even at 2 I felt great, no jitters, full of energy and no negative sides noticed. I just think Ill maintain 1 cap twice daily in order to continue my PWO. Im really enjoying this so far

Dosed 2 caps early morning and felt the thermals all day until about 4:45p. Sweating ensued but it didn't show through my cover at work.

So far I like this.
Some hypo for some reason. May not be eating enough fat. Keto. Upping fats.

'hypo' usually relates to blood sugar...I have low sugar and if I start getting that feeling I grab some oj if it is available, or else find something with sugar in it....I like oj best though!!!

I'm not getting notifications. Thanks! I wish I could drink soda (not really) but I cannot stand the stuff. Maybe some honey would do the trick as well. Carry a packet or two with me.

Observation(s):

  • I'm noticing a definite decrease in appetite, as I'm normally just hungry all of the time.
  • My wedding ring is loser than normal but I have to take in more water than usual which could have something to do with the keto diet as well.
  • Will be looking into Leucine additionally and sipping on BCAAs more throughout the day.

Thats funny. My Titanium ring hasnt fit in a while, so Ive been wearing a rubber ring, for safety more or less, and its coming off anytime my hands get wet. Also, I forgot who, but someone was recommending Leucine to me, and will need to get some. Im enjoying seeing that you and I are having similar effects so far

I read that, and was doing some further reading about keto. This validates the consumption of coconut oil. I think just sipping on BCAAs could be enough to push this idea instead of investing in a stand alone leucine supplement. I do have some Amino IV from PES coming my way, hopefully soon however which has additional Leucine.

The amino acids lysine and leucine support ketosis and allow a diet to include more protein without compromising ketosis. Short-chain fats like coconut oil are also very ketogenic because they signal the liver to make more ketones. These supplements are very useful because they make for more flexibility in the diet: achieving ketosis by carbohydrate and protein restriction alone is possible, but a slightly higher level of protein and carb intake, supplemented with these ketogenic foods, can help reduce side effects and make the diet safer for the long term. Supplementing with Vitamin D (which most of us should be doing anyway) can also help minimize the risk of bone density loss."

justhere4comm what type of keto diet are you doing? If you drink OJ or soda you will get kicked out of keto. This isn't that big of a deal if you get kicked out of keto before you workout; in fact, it's known as a Targeted Ketogenic Diet (carb up times are only before and after exercise).

I haven't had much success with doing a TKD and think it's too difficult to dial in. I always do a cyclic ketogenic diet (CKD).

If your feeling like sh1t you could always take

1. MTC Oil (keto staple sup)
2. Extra Virg Olive Oil
3. Peanut butter.

Makes perfect sense! I will look into it! Going to buy a ton of greens today, and my goodness peanut butter is amazing. I found some coconut peanut butter the other day, and will grab that. Taste is incredible.

I'm still really new to this and jumped in before researching thoroughly. I think FireTitan and I are in the same boat! One oar. lol.

Well I was told yesterday to lower my overall protein intake as I was somewhere in the vicinity of 244g. Inam going to aim for around 170-180(ish) and start in with more BCAAs. I might have went a little overboard this morning with breakfast, you and mmorso can assist wth that. I had 8oz of plain greek yogurt with 1 scoop of modern protein, and 5 eggs scrambled with 1.5 tbs of coconut oil. And just for a little extra taste, I mixed up 2tbsp of PB2 with water. Ended up with 858 calories, 84 protein, 22 carbs and 49 fat and feel great, but as if I went overkill. Apparently I was hungrier than I thought when I got home from work. But, Im fixing to go hunting, so probably wont eat anything other than a shake around 2pm. What do you think?

Yeah FireTitan a common practice on a keto diet is intermittent fasting if you get kicked out of keto and want to get back in... I also will do it if I overate or went over on macros... I'd skip a meal just to let my body metabolize it all but still make sure I achieve my daily macro goals somehow... might have to have small snacks before & after dinner

By the way: you guys will fcking love the carb up days on a CKD. After you eat carbs you will be more vascular than you've ever been before it's crazy!!! It's like when you water a plant that's been neglected and you can see it start to perk up

No not at all. You're going to be all over the place with meals etc when your getting adapted... at least I was. I'd wake up at 2am completely famished and crush some food and go back to bed and have to skip breakfast... For the first couple weeks you'll have carb cravings and feel hungry at times...

The important thing to remember though is total kcals doesn't matter as much as your daily carb intake... so if your hungry you can eat just make sure you're eating fats... the great thing is that fats are satiating. Snack on almonds and peanut butter.

I can start as soon as it arrives and stagger with her, or wait until she's good to go and then start up at the same time.

Not alone for the Keto, but! (Look Down)

I did however use the PB2 with a generous amount of Coconut Oil and shaved almonds to make my own spread which is amazeballz to quote FireTitan Put that on a rice cake which has 7g of carbs each, and gold.

Looking leaner in the mid section, and will be posting another selfie in a week.

Wifey News

She collapsed at work yesterday and had to be taken to the ER. I think it was her BP as it relates to being on keto diet. I warned her to keep up the fat intake for energy, and keto has a tendency to lower blood pressure. I didn't expect it to lower her BP so soon as she's on BP meds. They gave her meds, and tons of fluids (IV), and some dilauded for her migraine following BP spike. I had to laugh. She hit me, hard. The nurse laughed.

It's a good thing she works at the Hospital.

Ok, so as it relates to this Husband / Wife Log... I'm not sure it's going to be anything but tandem at best. I'm going to finish mine, when I'm finished, and then if she feels up to it, we ill extend it with her. I'm more than happy to do this if she wants, and think she would love it. I don't think anything in this product would affect her BP, and the energy would be welcome.

Otherwise, moving forward from this point, I'm digging the supplement, and will keep you all looped in on the wifey. She's a tiger, so don't worry.
(I know you guys are worriers). :D

my step mom deals with this, problem with her she will sit or lay down when she feels it coming on and you cant tell if she is passed out or taking a nape.

I made her some pasta and am getting her back on her game. It will take a week or two but there should be no more of this passing out. It's not permitted lol.

On the brighter side. We had a talk about strategy moving forward with a modified routine that will be like a micro HST. Circuit.

Her diet has got to be dialed in so she feels good first. On the job. :)

Might start her with the basic HST.
Just one body part per workout. maybe reduce or remove the compounds to start with. (I dont know her experience with lifting so I might be wrong)
Also use the standard format with a different rep range.
This is the format my wife uses. (She does do squats for legs, but currently uses the hammer bench for chest and she refuses to do Deads, she said her trapz were getting too big. lol
also she thought she was getting too bulky with the 5 reps sets.

plus she refuses to not do cardio at the end of her workout. if she doesnt get 30 min. in then she thinks she is going to get fat.

Note: she just started lifting with me about a year ago.

She doesn't work and use to do the video work outs like ty-bo, I think that's what it was called. where you kick and stuff.

Originally had to her do 3 sets but she went into over training at the end of week 5. and didn't like de-conditioning at a different time than me.
Told her that wasn't a good idea to start out this way on week 5 but she thought I was treating her like a baby! lol
