LOL, 3 scales would indeed drive me crazy! My conscious is clean, even though I broke my self imposed diet rules, I never did it full retard.

You don't even have to be close to miserable to maintain 8-12%, you just have to be disciplined and pay attention. It does not take extremes to get there or maintain it. It just takes the effort to pay attention and make good choices. Most people can get to a point once they learn their body they can coast and maintain abs. It is all about the discipline.I'm not sure whether to admire you or consider you crazy. Or both. Single digit BF is crazy difficult.
I'll be ecstatic when I get to around 15 to 18% BF with no desire to go lower.

More likely not quite level or something. Do you measure in the exact same place every time? Scale being a few feet away can mess up a reading massively if not level.I hate my scale -and I don't trust her. The farm is my "man-toy" for weekends, like others have a boat.
Having "cravings for creativity", leads to projects like this, lol.
It's not huge with 8 acres, just enough to have it all developed and maintained. The "Lake" is part of a self made agua-ponic system.
Fish waste is stored almost automatically in a subterranean tank, later pumped up to fertilize the whole farm. The pond holds currently about 5000 pounds of Tilapia.
The plantations are mainly exotic fruit plants I imported from all over the world, some grow with success -others do like my diet does, LOL.
About the diet, I'm fine, I accepted all the lifting stuff to be a long term project- like the farm is, including backlashes like injury -or a cut that turned into a recomp.

Maybe you need to eat more veggies and spread the food out a little? I know you were eating 1 meal for a while. Have a half bag of broccoli and 3 oz of chicken or fish in the earlier part of the day, and then again in the afternoon , then a little more for dinner. It isn't like you are going to get 5 meals out of so little food, but just having a plan to eat consistently may help offset some of the opportunity to choose snacks.

I blew the diet good and did not feel bad about it while doing so, today I do.
What I can tell, it was about 3200 kcal, all "good" food, lots of meat -nothing "poisonous" like cake -or pasta.
My mind kept telling me:

Will shoot for a recomp with a more rational approach. Planing on eating with a 500-700kcal deficit, MOST of the time.
I'm not sorry about it, just got a bit wiser.

Why don't you try Kaprices approach? He has kind of adapted the ADF diet to have an ultra low calorie day followed by a more moderate day, etc.
Doing MY thing. I'm proud of myself how I handle the "bad" food already. It's all about to find a way that works daily, every day. Will temper with carbs, reserving the "fast" ones for post workouts and controlling total caloric intake.
I need no books. Eat less and train double + watching WHAT you eat and WHEN- will do.
