I have had the vanilla twice.followed instructions as listed for adding hot water and stirring.... Doesn't work very well. Chunks stay on op and I mixed for a while. Then I did a second cup where I slowly added powder in while stirring.... Much better. But the caffeine is hitting me weird. This is the first select product I'm confused about...

Idk. Like I got a headache after both my am and midday shake.... Not sure. I do high stims so 100mg for me a absolutely nothing. I could take eca and go to sleep some nights.
Taste was kinda weird also, definitely doesn't taste like coffee... Not sure how to describe it.

I agree that is extremely odd and hard to figure out. Please be sure to keep us updated on continued use. I would be interested in hearing if it was just some strange fluke or not.

The first cup I made I put a scoop in a cup, put it in the office Keurig machine with not coffee pod and used to to dispense hot water. Then stirred for a while. It was so clumpy. I was so disappointed. Second time I mixed it in as I stirred a d it wasn't that bad. Whatever the case it.
As far as the headaches we will see... I have four tubs to go through....I will keep you guys posted

No bias intended at all but I just cracked open iced mocha and literally about nutted myself with my first experience. Milk with ice and a scoop in a half. Mixed thoroughly and was in straight up heaven.

Honestly... My wife and I both could taste the coffee flavor in the Iced mocha. We felt it was a perfect ratio of coffee to other flavoring. However we both like our coffee drinks pretty spruced up though. Nailed it for us and it will for sure replace my wasted coffee pours every morning.

Vanilla frappe- after trying this initially just in some water to test the flavor, I went for an actual coffee type drink. Og flavor is basically just vanilla. While it smells like coffee, there was literally zero coffee flavor even slightly distinguishable. It's a great vanilla, but that's it.
My experiment was 6oz of coffee and a scoop of vanilla frappe. My hopes were that this would creat a sweet vanilla coffee drink like one would buy.
Mix- not good. I poured the coffee first, followed by half a scoop to start. This was after 10min of spoon mixing Invalid Link Removed as you can see, even with a low saturation there were a ton of chunks which was disappointing. The second half a scoop was even more clumped up. Definitely not the type of mix you want. My suggestion would not be to mix hot drinks and to instead shaker it in cold/warm and then heat it after. 4/10
Flavor- although the flavor solo is great, it was rather weak mixed in the coffee. I thought it would be a lot sweeter after my initial taste test but was again let down here. For someone who likes very sweet drinks (i.e. Most of the Starbucks specialty crowd) this type of mix will be a bit weak. If you like lightly sweet and more coffee tho this is a good plan. For me tho, 5/10 in coffee, 7/10 straight water flavor tho (mostly loses pts due to it not being as strong as the og select flavors)
Overall- 6/10 flavor is good solo, but has no coffee taste. If I want vanilla I will look elsewhere (og select is still better) due to the caffeine as well as the strength of the flavor. Not the worst, but there are better options for this type of vanilla flavor and especially coffee types.
Caramel macchiato- the smell of this is unbelievable. Smells like caramel magic with coffee undertones. Again here I was hoping for a caramel laden coffee flavor.
Mix- same as above. Not very good in hot liquids. In straight water (cold) it was much better but still slightly chunky even in a shaker. Definitely not on par with the original selects (tho they don't mix hot either so that was expected). 4/10

Mixed in coffee it was not nearly sweet enough to use as a sweetener, and even the caramel was pretty dull. In coffee 3/10; in water 6/10.
Overall- 4.5/10 smells like heaven, but simply doesn't deliver the sweetness or coffee flavors you expect per the name. Don't get me wrong, it's enjoyable in small amounts of liquid, but that's about the extent of it. For me, I like sweeter and stronger, and was hoping for some coffee taste which were all misses with this one.
After trying 2/3 of the flavors, I think that while they are decent in terms of general protein flavoring, they are a significant downgrade to the other PES Select flavors. They are weaker in strength (which some people may actually really like as many think the og's are too strong ha) and don't seem to mix as well. Add in the caffeine and they can only serve a select time of day and use. The other downside is that of the two I tried, they don't taste like coffee at all which makes them just a run of the mill vanilla and caramel. That to me is the biggest bummer as I had really hoped for a unique coffee blend flavor from these. I still have the mocha to try, but will have lower expectations now. Will update when I try it.

At first, as a coffee lover, I can’t see how this can replace my coffee, it won’t replace! Several days have passed and I have been consistently choosing coffee over select, and I only tried select café’ 4 times, only Iced Mocha so far with the 3 forms, however, the caffeine effect from it is great, it gives me a light and happy kick.
Iced Mocha flavor:
Shake and on ICE: 10/10.
Cool, I totally felt the coffee flavour, I loved it, I felt like I am drinking mocha treat, it literally tastes as Mocha with a coffee flavour. Shake and ice is the best form out of the 3. It was thick at first, so I waited for the ice to melt a little bit more so it can dilute it.
With hot water: 1/10
For me it was not pleasant at all to drink it like this, I boiled water (10oz~), and slowly poured it on 1 serving, stirred till I got smooth texture with no big clumps. But… The whole drink was micro clumped, I think the protein clumped together like cottage cheese, I don’t know how to describe it, and the flavour was very weak... I can’t say this form is a failure with Iced mocha because some people may find it fine (I doubt this), but I won’t drink it hot again.
Frappe style: 10/10
It is tasty, again for me this is a treat, I can’t see a morning that I will be choosing to drink this over coffee.
With all the forms I used only water, maybe with milk my experience would be better.
I am glad I only bought 2 tubs This would be enough for a treat. Generally, I am a bit disappointed because I expected to drink hot Coffee protein shake daily.

Ok...the scoop itself, is 1 serving the middle of the scoop where the line is or is it the full entire scoop? These scoops give me fits (ones where 1 serving looks to be in the middle) lol...and yeah I know I'm not the only one...just the bravest ha.

Thanks kindly for your no bs unbiased opinion sir. We will take much of this into consideration and see what we can do to build off of your feedback. I have only used the mocha flavor so far but had a much different experience then you did. I did notice it was a bit clumpy upon adding the cafe mixture but it was quickly diminished upon stirring in my case even with ice getting in the way of the spoon. For me the mocha flavouring was completely on point so maybe I would suggest that flavor for you. Instead of a step down like you mentioned from flavoring I thought it was up there with my top 3. Once again we appreciate the review and will take your concerns seriously.

Appreciate your continued feedback brosef. I haven't even thought about firing up the kourig since cracking my tub saturday. As I mentioned before I'm not huge on coffee so it may have been a little easier to persuade me away from but I'm overall super pleased with this product.

Advertising is just that and just because a product doesn't suit one doesn't mean it won't suit others. I personally have used the product to replace my morning cup of joe for the obvious reasons. Ok so vanilla frape definitely has a better taste than mocha but it is a lighter taste in terms of coffee. My wife compared it to eating a ice cream cone with vanilla ice cream. I get what she is saying. Amazing taste and very refreshing. Gives me that same boost I need in the AM as well.

I do however like a good frappe from somewhere like Starbucks, so I wanted to try them as such.
I enjoyed both flavours this way, I think as a frappe Vanilla wins for me but I am stoked to get baking a coffee cake with caramel macchiato now that I've gauged the flavour.

Caramel Macchiato is quite good. It's on the sweet side but understandable since it's supposed to be like that with caramel but the first taste of the caramel isn't very natural, almost chemical like. But after a few seconds you will kinda get it. I mix with water and milk at a ratio 50:50.
Smells 100% like coffee. Tastes 60% caramel, 40% coffee. Just like the actual caramel macchiato i guess.

Surprisingly, despite my lack of love for coffee, I also love all three.
However I rank iced mocha marginally behind vanilla frappé and caramel macchiato. I still love it but just not 'quite' as much. Most reviews have said iced mocha had the strongest coffee flavour so maybe that is why.

That would probably explain it!
I think my favorite way to consume these is either to mix with water and then add ice, or to blend with ice and water and drink it almost like a smoothie!
The first option is more convenient and I resort to that when I'm in a rush, which is most of the time.

I was pretty lazy with my first round of taste testing and mixed with water and poured it over ice rather than blending it with ice.
I like to use as little effort as possible to get a good result lol.
I was sent vanilla frappé during testing phases and didn't realise it was supposed to be made with ice or hot water so just drank it like a plain shake. The ice makes a huge, huge difference lol.
