I'm on Phosphatidic acid Ya'll

I take 8 EPIQ gels and 2 tbsp SL. My bathroom habits remain unchanged

Hmm, maybe I will try EPIQ + SL on a non-workout day. I just hate the idea of sh*tting all of my PWO, protein and other supps down the drain.
 
So are the granules equally as effective as concentrated PA?

PA is PA. From what I can tell here are the advantages of the concentrated PA (softgels)

Positives

1. Easier to dose (couple of pills versus 2 ~ 3 TBS of granules)
2. No "taste" (some people like the SL taste, some not so much)
3. You know exactly the dose of PA you are getting. (with SL you know an approximate "range" of PA that you are getting)

Negatives

1. Cost
2. May be other things in the mix that you don't want
3. Miss out on the additional phosphadite benefits (of SL)

Can anyone comment on the delayed gastric emptying from the granules? Is it significant? I work out early in the morning and wouldn't want to have to wait longer for my pwo meal to digest. I'm crammed for time in the a.m. as it is
 
played it safe and ordered another bottle of OG king, should be here later in the week, maybe after this bottle I will broaden my horizon and try x-gels or something

Unless you experience issues I wouldnt even worry about it. I only mentioned it earlier, supposing the fat content of the granules might ultimately alleviate any digestive issues with dosing lots of caps at once.

Why are you worried about how long a meal sits in your stomach? This doesn't have anything to do with the debunked narrow "Anabolic Window", does it?
 
So, who's going to try the Mediator Powder? It looks interesting.

I don't know man. $1 a gram is steep. Granted, it is exactly 1000mg of PA, but Fearn's at face value is $0.22 a gram (+200mg), and even doubling the dose is $0.44, triple is $0.66. Too rich for my blood at $1.

I think it seems like a nice "in between" when comparing Granules and Caps/Gels. I'll be trying it when I'm done cutting.

Oh for sure. Never even looked at PA caps from whomever, but I can imagine the price. If I wanted to try concentrated for gastro/travel issues - yup, I'd grab 50g :)

50$ for 50gm
50gm is 30 day worth if you want 750mg of PA
50$ for 30 day

Phosphamuscle is mid 40$ for 28 day

Picking nits, but $48.97 for 33.3 Days at 750mg = $1.47/Day

vs

$40/28 Days = $1.43/Day of PP. $0.4/Day cheaper.

Hahaha, good knowledge dropping. I don't really focus on the cost of PA gel/cap products so I just assumed the powder was ever so slightly cheaper. Hmm.
 
P.S. It also gives you an indication on how cheap concentrated PA must be. What'ya think a bottle of PP really costs? $20? Less?

Id guess at least that. Damn, just look at the initial cost of Clear Muscle compared to now. Of course there was some investment costs to recoup there, but fook.
 
So the mediator powder really isn't much diff from the gels/caps. Maybe I should have compared the actual quantity/cost before posting that up. Doh!

First, I need to burn up all of the EPIQ PA I bought haha.

Also, if this is true, should the same be true about taking PA with other protein sources? (e.g., on non-training days, would it be best to dose with a meal containing some chicken, or in-between meals)?

They did not find an additive effect of the 2. In other words, protein synthesis did not get boosted more than either one would have done solo.
 
Probably read the tidbit about Leucine spiking mTOR and not being as useful when combined with PA because they're doing the same thing.

if leucine spikes mtor to the point where it makes PA redundant, why aren't we all just using more leucine all day instead? it's way cheaper than PA after all.

It is the other way around. PA is more potent, and Leucine does not have an additive effect.

that's what i thought. so... PA + leucine is a waste of leucine, because the leucine is redundant and overshadowed by the PA.

However, to the original question, PA + whey would still be worthwhile, as there are obviously more benefits to whey than just spiking mtor. And it's not like the whey reduces the effectiveness of the PA at all. No?

I use protein powder to help fill my macros. So yes, the benefit to whey is that it will help you fill your protein macros if you use it.

are you using PA caps or SL? Taking 750mg 1 hour before workout and 750 mg when you get home is good. Think PA as a half-life at 4-6 hours.

I´m taking Lecitin Granules for some months and coincidence or not, my both strength and body weight are increasing. Two things i was struggling with for the last couple of years.

So, i´m planning to take it for a indefinite period if there´s no problem in that.

I don't see a need to cycle it. Hell, lots of old people take a few tbsp of lecithin granules every day for years/decades.

Whey is more than mTor. And mTor itself is just one part if a puzzle.

Activating mTor often does not necessarily equate to more gains over time. Marketing gon market though
 
What you want to look for is de-oiled soy lecithin granules. That's the basis really. Fearn standardizes their lecithin granules for I think 98% phosphatides, as do some other companies. That's ideal, as no bulk granules standardize for PA content.

Now for a couple unscientific anecdotes:

I tried some Vitamin Shoppe bulk granules and they were lighter in color and did not taste the same. While it could very well have been in my head, I swear I didn't look/feel as full compared to Fearn.

I have since tried NOW's granules which are nearly identical to Fearn in taste/color, although there's a larger ratio of powder-to-intact-granules in the tub, but I've noticed no difference in performance.
