The New Product Release Thread

Info on new BSN Syntha 6 Edge Bar

On the outside of the Syntha-6 Edge Bar box you can see the weight of the product is 66g. That is a massive difference compared to the current Syntha-6 Bar as it weighs roughly 35% more at 90g. That obviously doesn’t confirm any exact macros for the new bar, but it does mean its numbers will be a lot less than its predecessor’s 33g of protein, 23g of carbohydrates, and 10g of fat.

The only other details we have to reveal today for BSN’s upcoming Syntha-6 Edge Bar is its surprisingly large menu. When the supplement eventually arrives in Europe fans will have five flavors to choose from in Chocolate & Hazelnut, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Chocolate Vanilla Fudge, Double Chocolate Brownie, and Salted Caramel.

BSMOC was best in sludge and pancakes IMO, as a shake it was alright.

I love it in oats, but the two best applications I've used were Pumpkin Pie and Quest Apple Pie

Pumpkin Pie
Forgive my handmade crust haha. I ended up going pre-made after this since I am not a baker, I leave all that up to the wife now.
1 Can Pumpkin Puree
3/4 Cup Egg Whites
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
2 Scoops Protean BSMOC
1 Tsp Cinnamon

Quest Apple Pie

Ingredients
1 Apple Pie Quest Bar
1/3 Cup Unsweetened Apple Sauce
1/3 Cup Diced Apples
3/4 Scoop iForce BSMOC
3 Dashes Cinnamon

Warm Quest in oven then roll thin. Cut the Quest in half and scoop the mixture into the middle. Mold the top piece in a little bit of a dome to avoid pushing out the filling when forking down the sides. Bake in oven at 400 degrees for 5-6 minutes.

That crust lol

Wouldn't that other thing be like a hybrid crisp? it's not a pie pew pew :P has no bottom or top crust the defining feature of a pie.

Also where the yolks in that halfnatty pumpkin pie slacker.. lucky you included some egg whites at least.. or I would have to throw it under the bus too :P It's a custard ( Pumpkin Pie that is is a custard pie ) which is where the egg comes in it is the central player in the formation the eggs solidify it and is the standard for a custard so your some egg whites away from having a sloppy mess breh :D

I <3 you bae lol

Had me at Nutella bar :D

Now I feel left out :( I never got to try it </3

Trance is lyfe :D

It was happy energy, nothing anxiolytic especially if you had something to keep you busy, you'd zone out with having fun and all of a sudden its 2 am and you have a chick named "Mercedes" in your bed. Ahh, the rave days :)

The Quest is a play on a McDonald's apple "pie". Should probably say "apple" too for McDonald's lol

The pumpkin pie surprisingly came out really really good. We were both shocked at the consistency being pretty much identical and the flavor was amazing with the BSMOC. Gave a nice depth to it.

Their's has a crust doe :) in their case it prob comes from older hand made pastries 60s and 70s which are still made when I was growing up in the 80s they were .25 at the outlets tho much better than the one's McDonald's sells.

Mostly just giving you a hard time haha you knew it was coming! :P

The richness would not be the same but you would need a side by side comparison unless your used to eating a whole lot of custards, but the pumpkin ( squash ) puree will def cover up a lot and also brings additional moisture. I am sure it tasted pretty good.

Would be kind of interesting or at least novel to form a Custard Tarte or mini tartlettes the ( Pate Sucree a tarte crust kind of sweet-cookie like in taste/texture ) Sucree would be pretty awesome if you got the flavors of that BSMOC into it in some way and the pumpkin ( squash ) custard on top.

This would NOT end well for me these days haha

Dat Married lyfe now

Oh I knew it was coming lol. I was in this phase of using Quests for desserts. My favorite was taking a DCC Quest, warming it and rolling it out then cutting them into little chunks/circles. Melting dark chocolate with some mint extract and making myself some thin mints.

Straight up though, using the Quest Apple Pie bar then filling it and baking it more...the taste was real close to a McD apple pie. Not as crispy obviously, but i started to develop a little bit of a crisp (as much as a baked quest can). The apple sauce, diced apples and BSMOC w/ cinnamon hit all the flavors I was expecting. It was a 10/10 Quest Dessert.

Wtf is BSMOC?

Negs...

Brown Sugar Maple Oatmeal Cookie do you even breh? :)

You wouldn't be able to use a proper pate brisee crust on that bar crisp ( just due to the time needed to get it to look right and taste good vs the insides melting to nothing ) but BUT! You could prob roll it up in either a phyllo dough or a puff pastry the Phyllo dough would be my top choice would be so ****ing epic

The flavors sound good, but it looks like these will be another Quest like bar to an already over saturated market.

MT to release a new bar (not mission 1)

No image or details have been released just yet, with confirmation that Muscletech has another protein bar coming soon being the only fact we really have. That obviously leaves us with a lot of questions, including what makes it different from the brand’s seven-month-old Mission1? We do know the product is going to be under the Muscletech banner and won’t be a spin-off of Mission1, so that does rule out a separately branded bar, or any kind of mass or alternate version.

Has anyone tried the Syntha 6 Edge powder? I think that's what it's called. Just seeing a lot more since it used to be just OG Syntha 6.

Input on which ones are decent from a taste/consistency and profile standpoint?

Got some samples at the Boise bodybuilding.com fitness expo and it wasn't to bad imo

You guys need to start getting carried in more places. Been meaning to try out some of your products, but nowhere I shop seems to carry. BTW, you ever receive my PM?

It tasted pretty good. I had some samples of the chocolate. It made me very gassy, probably the quality of the protein. The profile is EXACTLY the same as the regular. Now, when it came out in '07, '08 the protein quality was much better.

I got excited because I thought this was a couch...not a protein bar.

"The two details we’ve received are that Cannibal Riot is going to have both the increasingly popular stimulant DMHA, and the controversial DMAA. That certainly isn’t going to be all that’s in the pre-workout, although if you’ve ever used those two stimulants before you’ll know together they should make for an incredible experience.

PES Select Chocolate Cupcake confirmed!!!

Not really news. I think we all knew this was coming despite the reps declining the news. I'm still curious to see how this is different from milk chocolate. I enjoy dark chocolate, not so much milk. When the Insider drops for this, I have to think if I want to take a chance on it.

Well, imagine the differences between a frosted chocolate cupcake and a milk chocolate.

FCC is going to bring a dedicated chocolate back into our top 3

Sounds like it will have insane euphoria but will be very unhealthy with the possibility of addiction
