4/5
I had used the original Hypermax a while back and really enjoyed it. So I was glad to have the opportunity to try the new XT version. One thing that really stands out to me is that the label doesn't claim crazy doses, too many ingredients, or try to hit you with the newest greatest stim/pump/energy blend ever created with mega doses!!!!! It's simple. A few proven ingredients at relatively moderate doses. But you know what? It works better for me than other PWO's with higher dosage claims of these same ingredients. I don't know if that means quality of ingredients is different, or if label claims aren't always made. (surprise surprise) I should note though that I use 1.5 servings to make this review. But I use 1.5 servings of everything, so the comparison is legit. I haven't used a PWO with Beta Alanine in a few months so I was hoping for a little better reaction to it than I got, but that in no way effected the workouts themselves.
Taste 4/5
I liked the Watermelon. Not overly sweet, and just enough flavor to be enjoyable for my 2 second pounding of it.
Pump 2.5/5
This for me was the weakest point of my experience. But I don't hold it completely against the product. I am in a decent calorie and carb deficit and train fasted at 4:00 am. Also doing HIIT before I hit the weights, so this definitely plays a role in pump.
Focus 5/5
This is where it shined. Now I believe energy and focus go hand in hand, so the energy given from this (which I'll elaborate on) really made my focus crystal clear. A nice drive behind every set and rep, in tune with the metal blaring in my ears, really dialed in.
Energy 4/5
This is a good stim blend. Sometimes I look for more than this in terms of raw energy, but this was clean and smooth and definitely lasted far beyond my 90 minute workouts. Everything was a nice sweaty mess when I got done with it. Made 1 HIIT session great, and had a longer Steady State run than I've had in quite a while because I was feeling it.
I will definitely use this again. I like to have a couple different types of formulas on hand, and Hypermax is something I will enjoy in the rotation.
