Hyde's DIESELADE Sponsored Log

Good day brother. Healthy enough to run the frame and no knee pain. Win win.

Fatman rows and Goodgirls,
Always a fun log to follow when I need to look things up as well lol.

Like a mid grip Hammerstrength row effectively but from pull-up rings w feet out in front of you. And the Goodgirls are adductor strengthening, but we don't have a machine so I distracted my knees one at a time w a light band.

Always physique-ing it.

Some good work in here. Hope the back holds up nice and strong through the meet prep and you can go see the Dr out of convenience and not necessity. Sounds like a great day there.

Always physique-ing it.

Hypertrophy helps strength so long as explosiveness remains prioritized in some aspect of your training. Thant and well... looking good helps the ego! :)

I love ring rows now, especially one armed with a twist.

Rest day today. Really want to bench extra but I can tell my body just needs the day of rest if I expect to perform tomorrow. Quality over quantity.

Sometime you just need a little break!

Took a lot of work today to be able to get to depth w backsquat, which is a recent issue, but some stretching, and Duffin stuff got me there after a good 20 min of work. Ended up moving my bar position further back down again some after a brutal 415x2, which helped with lowering RPE and ultimately making the singles safer and smoother. Every single got better at least, and I got the volume in (3x2).

Nice work Hyde. Big PR

Big fronts brother. Nice PR

Mixed up 1.5 scoops like I have been in 60oz and went in for 90 min or so. A beautiful 66* out so we had front and back doors open for a breeze and Ice Cube radio setting the tone.

It's is always a said day when you can see the bottom of the tub!

It really is!

Went in to play w deadlift; couldn't pull 315 sumo and turned out conventional let me go further but still forced me to drop it at 365. Trap bar was much kinder though as I could just squat the weight; trap bar is how I will proceed to the meet for sure.

I hate days when my pulls suck. More so than any other lift.

It's just frustrating when you know the strength is there but the pain shuts your body off. I actually almost retook the 365 conventional until I realized I heard clanging because I had dropped it. I had chalked hands and a deadlift bar and slipknot on the stereo; my grip hadn't failed and I was completely driven. But the nerves were just shutting me off completely, so I backed off.

One day at a time.

Dave Tate suggestion: SSB low box squat with a narrow stance. Works great and saves the back.

Safety shutdown! Good call Hyde! Live to fight another day.

Yeah, I think so too!

Good to hear you didn't push it any further and didn't injure yourself any worse.

Well all this was last session on Dieselade

Since yesterday was so low volume I went back today to get some work in. Rolled EVERYTHING hard last night and made a big difference today. Was able to basically get under the bar and go after a smidge of warmup.

How're you good-girling with a band?

How're you good-girling with a band?

Choke band to a rack (or anything sturdy) about knee level and sit on a bench/chair at desired distance at 90* to the band. Draw the distracted leg inwards w the adductor, closing your legs (good girl).

You could probably use a mini or monster just as well, since like all band versions of machine accessories you just move around til you get the resistance curve right for the difficulty you desire (curls, tri extensions, etc). But most all commercial gyms have adductor and abductor machines, so you should be set already.

Final review is in 2nd post of this log!

Thank you Chuck Diesel and the Diesel boys for letting me see what's been cooking: great product here!

I don't do them much now, but Meadows suggests them on secondary lower days. Probably couldn't hurt to do some.

FINAL REVIEW

Gonna keep this short and sweet: Dieselade delivers what it promises. It's a fully-dosed, great-tasting naturally sweetened BCAA at a reasonable price. It mixes well, tastes and smells great, causes no gi distress or other weird sides, and promotes recovery with the best of them. Even dieting very slowly this month, muscle recovery between sessions was e****lent.

Most of the quality BCAA supps out there can usually be found for sale in the $20s range, so at ~$32/tub you are paying a few dollars extra, but for anyone looking to strip more artificial colors and sweeteners out of their life you know this often comes at a premium. BUT - I would say Dieselade delivers on the premium end of that deal.

It treated me great the entire log, and I wouldn't hesitate recommending it to anyone looking for a natural BCAA. This is one that DELIVERS!

Great review, thank you for your time and effort !
