I am finishing Phase 6 today... those 3 (2 a days) were simply brutal. What is Phase 7? I read it, but dont actually see anything about it...
 
Eating ... about 3 to 500 cals extra a day with a couple refeeds. Take at least 5 days off. Now you really like me don't you :)
 
You must have been torn down to decide to stop because you are an animal! you should be proud of yourself for sure man you have rocked this thing. I think if you had taken another few weeks of low volume before starting this one you would have been able to make it. You put your body through a lot this year. however sounds like it paid of in spades!

Exactly right on the money Chris. I am going to try pro again but will take a week off before I start and yah low volume for a couple extra weeks. I struggled all the way through this but still was able to crank out some good days. I am feeling much better already and will be ready for the low volume workouts, which are surprisingly tough and beneficial. They are not the big gainers that M140 is but they definitely keep the ball rolling if you know what I mean. I have not hit a plateau in gains in over 6 months. That's saying a lot.
 
Man! I can't believe how good this lower volume workout is. I tore my chest and shoulders to fuggin pieces and it all took only 40 fuggin minutes ... to fuggin pieces I'm tellin you!!! It was fuggin fan fuggin tastic!!!

Nice which Low volume one is it? Was it the first one I sent you, the BPak Advanced GVT, the TriSets, or the Muscle overload or a completely different one?

All of his workouts are effective. I need to log in and see if there are more I can download.

Not the GVT the other 4 day split you sent me with all the 1 and 1/4's in it . These are fuggin brutally good by the way
 
I get more sore from these shorter workouts than I do on M140 ... not as thoroughly exhausted but more sore.

Yep why we change up. I have watched this being used with several clients as it's a good stepping stone program and I am surprised how long they can make progress in the way of change of appearance without actually being progressive in load. I have only run this for 4 weeks but I think I will extend it and see what happens. No longer than 6 weeks.
 
Back day hurt like a mudderfugger and my chest is still really sore. Shoulders are toasted too.

I get back in the gym I'll probably use those routine.
 
Looking at German Volume training again I have to have more options for myself and the girls who are competing with me this year. M140 can be used a number of different ways as well so I am fine if i use a little imagination but GVT could play a part.
 
I think for the stage in the game you are at right now you should entertain it. His is actually a little more varied than regular GVT. Once you are in prep you can add in even more of the isolation lifts and targeting weak points. Plus if you plan GVT correctly so that you are actually targeting your weak points with the 10x10 sets you should be able to catch up pretty good in any lagging area.

Yes ideas are already beginning to formulate. I like his version much better. Not a big fan of some of the exercises he layed out so that means I should do them lol I hate fuggin lunges but don't they hit the weak area's.

I am going to get back in the gym like I said in my log. Since my exercises are very limited right now i may do GVT with the sled and then some assistance exercises for hams and calves.

Do eccentric training where you have complete control and you can make gains with not too much load :)

Killer arm workout today for me... fug yah. I think I can safely say that my arms are bigger than my head :)

Exactly, you do what you have to do not what you want to do. Today is leg day and that is going to be one tough mutherfugger ....
 
Hah I fuggin killed it, not saying I did a ton of weight but my technique was sweet and the tension was there!!! An absolute victory in my book :)
 
Chest day went well but it's just impossible to be progressive with this routine. Everyone concurs, if anything it seems harder. It's the one and 1/4 bench. It just kicks the shyte out of me. Good gains though. I am still right at 230 or a tad more. I am not eating quite as much as my frequency and volume have not been what they were on M140. I am basically right around 3000 max cals where I am 2200 to 2500 on non workout days depending on appetite. I am still carb backloading, just not as aggressively. I am pretty pleased with my body composition. I am looking forward to carving some weight off for spring but want this to happen extremely slowly.
 
Back day was easier than I expected. I may increase the weight a bit next week. Mainly thought the workouts are very quick. I have gotten used to more volume. I need this though and I still get a lot of muscle soreness out of every workout. Did 11 wheel of death today, my extra poundage seems to be adding some pressure to the abs. Numbers will go up though. I have to be all over this though, I need to get back to doing it twice a week.
 
haha I fuggin murdered legs!!! I am going to be so fugged tomorrow ... already warned the wife so I"m good.

1 and 1/4 squats superset 1 and 1/2 leg press X 4 sets 90 second rest oh 10 reps each
Leg extension triple drop sets 10 reps 3 sets
Leg curl 1 and 1/14 from the top ss leg curl 1/2 from the bottom 4 sets 6 and 10 reps
Sldl ss walking lunges 10 then 10 each leg 3 sets
 
Those 1 and 1/4's are no joke!! I did them on the chest press yestarday and filled my chest up with blood. I can't imagine them on squats!!
 
12 wheel death today and I am cramping. I am trying to get my abs on shape to do a vacuum and that is making them cramp too.

I can hold it now for 30 seconds and I already feel tighter in the abs but don't think I am that much closer to a vacuum yet. It's pretty freakin tough.
 
Fuggin awesome leg day on Saturday. I am really rebuilding them and I expect big changes. Sort of a deload chest and shoulders day today but lots of good work still.

Yah I feel really good, almost good enough to go back at it. I am a little gun shy though lol. I can't got wrong with advanced gvt for say 5 weeks. I will take a rest week and revisit the possibility of another round of M140 or even an revised version. I think that for me the first 5 phases of pro level might be all I need. We'll see where I am at. I am attacking again and that feels fuggin awesome.

I am going to be in the shape of my life this fall and that is really exciting as I will be carrying an extra 15 lbs come contest from the one I won.

Excellent, if I were you I would start back over with the Natural Version, just go a little heavier. You are stronger than you were when you did it originally so you could easily repeat it at higher weights and make excellent progress.

I have thought about using the intermediate version. I do want to see what advanced gvt is about first though.

Makes sense. I am going to have one more chance to go through this before I start prep and I liked graduate best. I may only do the first 5 phases if it gets too much. I think that won't be necessary though.
 
deload smeload, I went and trashed my arms anyway.... couldn't help it, my guns are fuggin a whole different caliber now am up about 3/4 of an inch.
