22:22 to complete.
Can't do squat snatches yet, adductors prevent depth in that precarious position. So, all of mine were muscle and power snatches at a measly 115.
1/2 scoop STIMUL8 pre, 2 scoops BCAA/SAA intra.
96° at time of WOD, no AC, no fans. Down and dirty.

Squat snatches are still a bîtch for me too. One day I'll hit a big one, next day I fall over lifting 95 lbs. look up the sotts press, and practice power snatches directly into overhead squats. Shoulder stability/mobility is HUGE with these. Oh...and F that WOD..I hate doing 100 pull-ups...everything else is ok.

115 seems like a perfect snatch weight for me. I was never a fan of big girls though

good old Angie. I may do this tonight. see how my body holds up after copious squatting sessions a week. I'm following Outlaw crossfit programming. Rudy programmes for games athletes.

Outlaw is no joke man!! I was following their Barbell section for a while before Spencer left. Crazy workouts from that site. And they actually use real, thought out programming that is goal oriented, not just any old WOD.

It's legit man.
I did the 2 count pause clean tonight. made a difference to my power clean already. forces me to sit back in the hips and balls of the feet before the triple extension.

Here's my log if you wanna follow my outlaw training

Good to see you are recovering nicely.

Don't know if anyone is still following but I'm gonna try to pick up where I left off.
I'm in training right now to become a special forces medic. The last 4 months have been a grind with my nose in books the whole time. To give you an idea of the pace, we completed EMT with national registry certification in 21 training days. That's fast, real fast, as far as I know.
Anyway, with the exception of a lot of running and rucking, workouts have been limited. This next 6 weeks should be different.
I can't make any promises, but I'm gonna try to log for at least that timeframe and try to make some decent progress. The adductor is still not fully healed but it's leaps and bounds better than it was. My run time is down to about 6:15 miles, which is a marked improvement from 4 months ago. I'm doing 11 minute miles with a 70lb ruck as well. I'm just not as strong as I was with the lack of lifting.
5 mile run for time in the morning. I'll holler.

I was just at work yesterday wondering how everything was going, wasn't sure you were in a place where you had phone/web access.

Are you doing the assessment course and hopefully get accepted or you've already been accepted to become a SF medic? Had several buddies that did the assessment course, my room mate was one. Tough as hell. The RT that did it was nuts he would ruck on slopes to condition his ankles as well as steel brush his feet to prepare for the worst, he was selected.
Best of luck bro! I'll be in San Antonio this next month for officer basic.

Glad to see you back!

Nice to see you around buddy

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome back. Probably a pretty lengthy post to follow with updates.

RIP Steve. Though I don't much believe in the afterlife or any of that stuff, there are a few words I'd like to pass your way. I want to say thank you for the opportunities and knowledge that you handed me on a silver platter. You were instrumental in me once again finding me and overall happiness. You gave me a chance when you knew very little about me, and I think we developed a pretty damn good relationship. It was a pleasure working with you (most of the time, because you could be a real pain in the ass at times [like any boss]). I know, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that I wouldn't be where I am right now were it not for the ways in which you helped me. You'll be missed, your rants and all.

Tomorrow I will eat bell peppers and a tomato, some almond butter, a banana, some oats and drink 1.5x my bodyweight in ounces of water. Staples...

I hope in passing that you found a better place for that ugly BSN hat than on your head. Once a Freak, always a Freak.

Until we meet again, old friend.

Dave.

So you're back now or nah?

No I'm eating and training the best I have been besides my prep 2 years ago. Just not a lot of time for forums at the moment.

So, I spent the last 9 months learning stuff (medical). Got to do some cool things, including surgical procedures. The medical training I went through started with 72 dudes; only 8 of us passed first time through without having to recycle a block and fall behind a few weeks. Went through divorce and living in my car for a few weeks, all while working, on average, 16-18 hour days, and at least 8 on the "weekends". Needless to say, physical conditioning has suffered. I'm in another phase of training where that is paramount so I'm busting ass trying to make up for lost time. At my age and in this profession it's difficult.
So, I come back to what I know and log my progress through the rest of this journey.
Again, I will disappear for a few weeks at a time, sporadically, but it won't be for months at a time again. Thanks for sticking around on this journey.

Good to hear from ya buddy
