BPS: COMBUSTIONing my way through post surgery weight loss

It's been a crazy day today. I'll have to catch up in everyone's log in the morning.

My wife was really sick all day, even stayed home from work (rare).

We had to pick up her car from the shop ($3200!!!!).

And, I was picked to be my departments DART officer for the city.

Woot!

I didn't have the time to mention earlier, but the 2x Combustion gave me great focus in the gym. On every rep I felt the muscle like we were one. Oh, wait, we are.

But seriously, the mind-muscle connection was awesome. I think taking Combustion pre gym is more effective to me in the focus dept than it is in appetite suppression or energy.

Hope your wife is feeling better, that sucks about your car! As far as the DART team, what do you have to do?

Great lifting! Something to try some time alternatively - warm up & do the rackpulls first, or maybe after one simple exercise like pullovers. Then do the goodmornings, then everything else in order you did. This will give you more strength & ability to stabilize the core better since it's early on before you're starting to gas out.

I always put my big, least-safe exercises first unless I'm pre-exhausting, in which case the compounds I didn't wouldn't be lower than 8 rep sets for safety sake.

Aw I hope your wife feels better! I'm sure you took good care of her when you got home! Sorry about the car too but the rest is great news! :)

Started on a bad note and ended on a good one? Not to bad ;)Focus from the Combustion huh? I'll have to keep an eye on that when I start mine...

Thanks Pete. I go in with SWAT for drug related raids and determine if the property is condemnable, and of not, what other property safety violations there may be. It'll be fun, I think.

This all makes sense, and if I were doing them on my own I would've at least done the pulls early. This is how Meadows had this particular routine set up.

Good info as always Hyde. Thanks.

Hope the wife is feeling better, sucks about the car! Tomorrow is another day my friend!

Thanks Wasme! Growth day! Lol

Thank you, Kat!

The work news is definitely good. They don't normally assign this to someone who has been there for so little time. The guy who picked me will probably be chief in the next 3 years, so it's a good sign to me that he thinks highly of me.

I've had 1 not-so-good workout since taking Combustion, and it was due to a sample pre I tried. Once the initial effects of that pre wore off I was back in the zone. I really think it's helping my mind to muscle connection.

The wife is feeling better today. At least good enough to go to work. Thanks everyone for your well wishes.

Glad to hear the wife is better. Getting stronger Thomas! That drug enforcement program looks interesting.

2nd leg day tomorrow! Woot!! It looks like the routine does not call for bands on the leg press. I may use them anyway...

Nice job Thomas... I was scrolling forever with that workout.. even on my lcd lol... killed it!

Thanks guys and gal. I was really glad I added in those last drop sets, it was really fun.

Dosed three total Combustion today, pre @ 0330, post @ 0620, and afternoon @ 1400. It accomplishes the same goal in the afternoon as it does in the morning: appetite suppression along with a steady pick-me-up. No extreme energy, but just an overall sense of alertness and not being tired like I should after being up since 0330.

I've only does 2x2 DCP 2.0 today and yesterday, but may take it prior to dinner. I really don't know for certain if I'm feeling anything from DCP this time around because I also know the appetite is suppressed well from Combustion.

However, I know the visuals, and I don't get as much or as noticeable meal-bloat, no matter the sodium or carbs.

Weight check tomorrow AM before legs.

Mad props for DLB

Crazy volume, but others already told you that. If meadows says no bands, I'd follow the advice (especially if you love the bands) - bands are a sick tool, but there's a lot to be said for straight weight, & you need to utilize all the avenues available to build dem muskels. He pulled em out this week to keep your body from adapting.

I owe you some rep.
I thought the same for a second, but was too focused on the progress I've made with the band resistance.

-these are plates only. Sled weighs at least 50, and I've only been doing these for a few months and at the end of workouts. Not sure what I could hit if these were done earlier.

Notes: Again, focus was off the charts. I can't believe I hit that many squats after alllllllllll those presses. I was expecting to fail at 275x6 instead of 295.

I have not had a bad workout since starting combustion.

I love JeFit's total weight lifted tracking. Think about it, 57 thousand pounds! Just wow!

You're a beast man!! Wow that's a lot of weight lifted
I agree!!! That's a heck of a workout! Awesome job on the PR!!

Nice job Thomas! Heavy squats brother... have fun walking later!

I agree!!! That's a heck of a workout! Awesome job on the PR!!

How are those wheels feeling? You kicked the sh!t out of them, nice workout and awesome PR's!

Thanks y'all! My legs are starting to feel really sore now, more so in the glute area.

It's been such a crazily hectic week, and this weekend is looking to be the same. I forgot to take my stack to work with me this morning. :(

I'll try to make things get back to normal here in the next couple days. I'm going to spend some time with the wife tonight, and maybe get some chest in tomorrow.

Happy Father's Day!! I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Happy Father's Day Thomas. Enjoy the day!!

Slaying lbs up in here. I skimmed for the most part but finally caught up. I gotta give u guys props with a full schedule I'm struggling to get on here

Awesome leg workout dude! You've got to be feeling it today, eh? I ran Combustion with 1g of agmatine & loved it!

I think I'll throw in agmatine my next training day too...

Leg were sore as heck through yesterday, and I've had some big since Sunday night. No training, lots of bathroom visits, erratic sleep schedule. This morning shows signs of improvement, but we'll see.

Sorry, BPS. This is the bumpiest I've ever started on a log...

Thanks guys. My stomach seems to be more solid today, so maybe back at it tomorrow.

Upset stomach from being sick? or introduction of DCP 2? I know when I was on the original DCP I had this issue at the start... quickly passed though.

I never had issues from running DCP a couple months ago. My wife just got over something too, so I'm leaning towards a bug. Sleep hasn't been that great and at times I've felt nauseous.

Thanks guys. My stomach seems to be more solid today, so maybe back at it tomorrow.
I'm glad you're feeling a little better! I sure hope you're back to 100% soon! :)

1x Combustion going down now with my coffee. Let's hit a PR today!

Edit:

I'm so wanting to take a second Combustion before lifting, but I'm worried it'll spark a stomach issue if the bug isn't fully gone. (I took combustion x1 twice yesterday and had no issues...)

Something I've noticed, is that the initial head warming/body cooling feeling I had the first week or so isn't as prevalent.

No DCP 2.0 until post workout. I like taking it before meals.
