Here's to my first log

That's why I use the jump rope and got me some battle ropes and a sled cause I can't do the regular boring cardio. Put me outside with some equipment to move.

I recently bought a sled(with harness) & battle ropes also... It's actually fun...

Jump ropes and I don't get along- or at least last time I tried we didn't. Lol

The sled does sound fun!! My kids would have fun with that too!

What do you find is the problem with you & jump ropes? Are we a little uncoordinated?

The sled is great... You could get your kids to sit on it whilst you push or pull it...

Yes very uncoordinated! I can't get my hands and my feet to work together! Haha

That would be a great idea! I'll have to look into the sleds!

I challenge you to make learning to skip a goal :-) What do you say?

Sleds are a great tool to have... Quite cheap also... Get the right attachments & you can make a great full body circuit... Possibly make yourself vomit in the process...

Deal! I will have to find a room to be by myself so no one can laugh! Haha...I'd love the full body circuit but the vomiting is not enticing! ;) I'd rather just pass out completely!

Awesome! Learn to skip facing a mirror if you can... It helps a lot...

A sled, a harness, a suspension trainer(TRX), & you have a great circuit to replace some of/all of your cardio... Oh, & kids to use as weight...

Careful with your sled around your water pipes. My well was smashed and we don't have city water out here.

Awesome! Thank you for your help! That sounds like fun! I love circuit training!

Oh no!!! That's not good! Thankfully we don't have any above ground that could be hit

Did you slide right over a pipe?

One of the kids did. Hit the one we have above ground and cracked under the dirt, actually. Took me a while to figure it out because there was no puddle because if was cut off before reaching the pump.

We don't have any exposed/above ground pipes here... It's not necessarily a good thing either, because my previous house had a leak that took about a year & many $$ to find...

Recently started following your thread and you have definitely made some progress! Go girl! I like checking out your workouts and incorporating them into my routines. :)

Awesome! So glad to have you! Thank you so much! Glad you enjoy my workouts!! :)

So my day started out quite interesting...I woke up at 4 just glancing at the clock thinking..."ok, I've got 30 more mins to sleep" Next thing I know, I'm hearing the beautiful songs of the birds outside our window. I grab my phone- IT IS 6 o'clock!! I fly out of bed realizing there's no way I'd be able to train! So, I go about getting the kids up and ready for school beating myself up for missing the gym. At that moment, God made me realize he did that on purpose! I have been utterly exhausted and lethargic the past 2 weeks yet continued to push through as usual. I also laid down at lunch as well! Of course.... After work and picking up the kids- I went and did 45 mins of sprints with my hoodie on! I am so very thankful that God always knows what's best for me and he gave me rest I needed- even though I complained! :)

Sweet! You must've definitely needed the rest.

Haha thank you! Hated I couldn't push out a few more reps though after all that work to get them up! Lol ;)

Thanks girl! You're super strong too! ...oh no! That's definitely not a good idea!

Nice workout Kat! I'm wore out just reading it..lol

Lol Thank you! I'm pretty worn out too! ;)

Damn! Great workout Kat... Are those 25 warmup pushups on on your toes or knees?

Thank you BLaQz! Definitely on my toes! Haven't used my knees in years! :)

Gotta admit Kat, you certainly put in the work! That is awesome.

Thank you wasme! It felt really good today once my preworkout kicked in! Lol

I assumed you were on toes, but I had to ask, as I was going to suggest warming up with the bar & doing pushups near the end to burn out... Unless you weigh 90lbs or so, you're most likely pushing more than 45lbs(bar) each pushup...

I actually felt bad asking the question, but it was necessary :-/
Don't feel bad! You're always welcome to ask any question you'd like! :)
True! I weight a bit more than 90lbs! ;) Good idea...I was just not wanting to start with just incline but been flat bench warm ups would prob be easier on my muscles just flying out of bed! It's a great idea to burn out with the push-ups at the end! I'm sure that would only take 5-10 before I hit the ground! Lol

Good morning and happy Thursday!! Today was shoulder day! Short and "sweet" one too! I'm super excited because I got the 35's up on shoulder press!! FINALLY! I have been attempting for what seems like forever! Lol

Nice job on the shoulder press on this Thrusting Thursday!

Great job, Kat! Jelly of your shoulder presses. :D

Failed getting one rep then was able to do 7? Are you having trouble getting the weights in position?

Yes, getting the DBS from my lap up into position is the hardest part! Just like with bench!

Have to put the DB's on your knees then kick them up for momentum to get them into position.

Yes, getting the DBS from my lap up into position is the hardest part! Just like with bench!

You can get a spot for that. I do often with heavier dbs. It's hard for me to kick my right into position with weights over 110 lb with my right shoulder injuries. I'll get my spotter to lift directly up on the dumbbell on my count. They can also give a little push on the points of my elbows for me to bring them from the bottom position to up, if necessary.
