Dave's Newest bulk into cut for show. AAS, SLIN and GH

I find it hard to push through a box full of cinnamon buns , donuts, bear claws and donut holes. Buhaha! My excuse? I need to carb up bro.
yeah, as long as I hit the gym hard I don't feel as bad, my fast metabolism allows me to cheat more than most tho. To be honest if I don't have at least one cheat meal a day I start shrinking too much

I won't shrivel up I just like them. An excuse to eat poorly/more than I usually do. I consider cheats to be counted or not counted. I believe cheats are something you usually don't let yourself do. Like say..going over 2000 your calorie goal in just one meal. Lol.

oh I know, when I cheat I'll get takeout and eat for 2-3 people haha
 
Definitely cheated at a burger joint the other day. There was a chalange to eat this 3 pound burger. If you did you would win a t shirt and get free desert. Well its a good thing the t shirt is double xl and hey desert was awesome.
 
Agreed. If I'm going to cheat, its gonna be at an all-you-can-eat buffet. Preferably with sushi.

Lol, my sister gets piss at me because I'll only eat 1 plate at the buffet.
 
Anytime I find an amazing buffet, like some of the nice casinos in Vegas (the Winn buffet is fantastic) or any of the ones at the Ritz Carlton or something like that I go crazy. I honestly hate crappy buffets tho.

Indeed! If you're going to cheat do it right. I only let myself cheat every 2 weeks, not sure how you fellas cheat so often lol, lucky ****ers
mostly because in the back of my mind I always want to be larger, and I know that food is how I grow, so I guess it just doesn't bother me as much

I cheat one meal, once a week. I set it for Sunday right after legs. I eat whatever the f**k I want. I eat so clean you can consider it sterile for surgery.

This is what I need to add. A brutal Sunday workout and subsequent feast. Usually I just don't cheat at all but it causes me to go crazy once I'm "done" cutting and gain back a ton of weight. Haven't had a cheat since New Years so far.
 
mostly because in the back of my mind I always want to be larger, and I know that food is how I grow, so I guess it just doesn't bother me as much

I was debating on not cutting and just bulking through summer running a test cycle to be honest. Lol being cut is only fun for so long

I'm down 14 lbs since the 9th of February.
 
Burgers arnt cheating. I eat .5 to 1lbs of ground beef a day. And god knows how much chicken. Now cheese that's cheating. I don't count fried chicken as cheating Eather. Cheating is donuts, chocolate, twinkes, anything processed, Nutella, whole milk, cheese, or any thing with high fructose corn syrup. I find that eatting till full, every 1-3 hours with 1.5 gallons of water a day is a pretty easy diet to follow. And I only keep up with macros in a bulk. I find trying to track then on a cut becomes obsessive and makes me feel even more hungry.

im guilty of cheese and Nutella haha, and I agree a lot of those high protein sources I don't count as cheating for me really

I don't know how it works in bodybuilding world but for a hobbiest like myself, cheating is essential. I'm not saying go eat mcdonalds, however, you need to treat yourself. It gives me something to look forward to and becomes almost exciting. One week you get to conquer a craving.

Whether it is beneficial for your metabolism or not, I don't care. It is about sanity for me lol. I used to never cheat, then you find yourself eating crappy for weeks at a time because you're so over it.

My outlook on cheat meals is if you are bulking then as long as your protein is where you want it, **** it. Lee Priest is one of my biggest idols, if you can't eat what you like then wth is the point?

As far as cutting goes I think a cheat is fine once every week or two, but just one meal not a whole day of crap.

Keep in mind I have a ridiculous metabolism so this works for me, maybe not for everyone.

This is what I need to start. I preach to people all the time to cheat once in awhile but I just can't bring myself to until I feel "done" cutting. I need to change my mindset so that its not just "cutting" but rather an overall healthier lifestyle.
 
Yeah, I rarely "cut" I just eat right ALL the time and throw in whatever I'm craving. I don't ever let myself go tho, this is about as fat/flabby as I ever allow myself to get. In the last 10 years or so there's only been a few times when I took off from the gym and that was when I was sick or traveling. I try and look good year round instead of peaking a few times a year. I mean right now to cut I'm simply gonna work out harder and clean up my diet SLIGHTLY, not go crazy.

@hurdle, how do you stay lean while bulking? i eat clean but at a kCal excess i still gain fat which i know is inevitable. do you toss in cardio? or is your metabolism just awesome like some people. i mean i dont get falbby but i find it hard to keep my abs year round while bulking without aas.

Don't step up your calories so high. You need a slight surplus to grow not an over abundance. Idk how your body works but I grow off AAS in a slight deficit to maintenance cals. If I go more than like 100 above maintenance I turn into the fat mess like I am now.

This. My last cycle I was cutting at about 500 under and still gaining .5-1lb/week

Honestly man it's metabolism, the only cardio I do is sex, but I like to put on a show lol. Other than that I structure my workouts to make sure my heart rate stays in a fat burning zone the whole time. When I notice myself gaining a little chub I just cut back on potato chips and sweats and stuff. I'm just lucky with the metabolism. People used to always tell me when I was in my young 20's "you won't be able to eat like that forever, ur gonna be fat one day when ur metabolism slows" No b!tch, when it slowed I just got bigger! Haha
 
In regards to the diet convo and what not, I will add that I spent a lot of time in my younger 20s training my body to eat what I need to in order to be this size. I would literally mark on my daily calendar when I was eating, every 2.5hrs, and finally over time I wouldn't watch the clock anymore, my body was used to eating that way. I haven't counted macros or anything in years. I can just tell if I need to cut back or eat more by how I'm feeling and looking, the scale helps a little, but doesn't tell the whole story. Right now I'm trying to shed some fat, but the scale is gonna be going up over the next few weeks. Science!
