Nearly got some Versa-1, glad I saved my money.
What's te general consensus on Anabeta/ Anabeta Elite? I'm always sceptical of herbs but would love to try either.
this thread is pretty funny. i suppose for me a picture is worth a thousand words:Invalid Link Removed
lots of mistakes, but i would say the ones ive found that work great for me are worth it.
1. Compound-20 2. The Strap 3. Prime 4. Versa-1 5. Pink Magic 6. Everything Biotest 8. Everything Ergogenix
I agree with number 7 Also why biotest? Their protein is horrendously overpriced, but it is not ineffective.
I loved Hot-Rox back in the day. Feeling nostalgic just thinking about it
lol....I used it religiously

man, i miss pink magic. you know its not in the market anymore, so i guess im in the minority but i put 10lbs on most of my sets with that stuff. pick on me about it if you want, but its the truth. im surprized to see prime on alot of peoples list; ive heard of people who dont respond, but im one of these guys that takes it at half-dose (3 caps a day) and it does wonders.
I like Prime as well (better at higher doses, just expensive).
Never used PM, the reviews were too iffy to buy it at the time. (not enough money to try stuff)
i heard of high dose protocalls for prime. strangely, if i take more, i just get the same great results so i end uo getting like 40 days per bottle. when it came out, the ad said they believed it worked because of how it affects acetylcholine receptors, but i recently saw an ad where it said it worked by suppressing some kind of adrenal hormone i think, (glucocorticoids maybe.) maybe some people produce more of those hormones than others and thus more is needed? who knows

No appetite control or thermo effect even at 3 scoops for me. I'd have commented but any mention of Alphamine brings Touey out of hiding.

oh yeah. definately, but i also kept using it for many months afterward. i went from weighing 175 to 185 when i was done with it, and i chased it with leucine at an equivalent of 14g sustained release leucine a day and i never lost the weight. i kept the increases on my weights too, although they are much harder to do and i lost a few reps; i would have lowered my weight to get all my usual reps in, but i found i hadnt lost any muscle so i just kept going with it. ironically, i bought it for the pump effect, which wasnt evident unless i was also taking a pump product. i strongly suspect the herbs to that end had promise, but that precaution limited its athletic use. just a theory, but look at viagra; because some guys can get extremely low blood pressure from it, regular check-ups are necessary. pink magic, as i vaguely recall, was designed to keep the n.o from breaking down, which would be similar to viagra. since it had to be sold over the counter though, my theory is that awesomely effective amounts of the stuff could never be recommended or marketed to the masses. when i stopped taking it, i noticed no change in my pumps so that was it for me at the price tag, but i felt it was very innovative and i wouldve like to explore bigger doses of the stuff one day. good stuff in retrospectWere you one of the first to receive your bottles?
Bump.
Ursolic acid in oral form was a no go.
How about topical?
good question; nutraplanet has that one that looks interesting for a number of reasons. it looks like it requires a rub down twice a day and i couldnt determine how many servings it has anywhere.

How long does it take you to feel the effects of Prime?
i felt absolutely nothing for over 3 weeks. then suddenly my weights startedgoing up like crazy. id say, "that felt alittle light, why not add some more." and id add 40lbs on a set. my bench didnt go up so much, but my squats really went up. i can imagine how p.o.'d someone would be reading the box and finding out they didnt get those kind of results, but i have to say the grass really is greener for some people taking it because people do get those results from it.
No increased hunger or muscle fullness? And we're you keeping it to 3 pills a day for those prat 3 weeks?
I'm thinking of running it alongside X-Gels for the nutrient partitioning component.
I have been sticking with Dymatize Elite XT lately.
Lots of others give me problems. Mainly throat and GI problems.
Turns out a lot of companies use wheat gluten in their powders and disguise it as glutamine peptides.
Syntha 6 would be one of them.
And at $29.... yuuup. Fudge Brownie in my veins

Honestly 90% of all natural supplements do nothing for me. Those that truly work as advertised and I see it repeatedly on blood work is iForce Heart Help, nothing corrects my cholesterol better after a cycle and TUDCA always has my AST/ALT in range no matter what I take. Besides that its the basics for me like fish oil, a vitamin and a pre-workout if needed.
i took the recommeded dosage consistantly every day when it first came out, which was less than it is now i think. (think it was 3 caps a day, plus one on workout days but i never took the extra one) it was along time before the amount per bottle changed, and i only increased when that happened, before switching back. ive never noticed increased hunger, muscle fullness, or "the permanent state of flexion" from it, but there is nothing else like it. i couldnt comment on any nutrient partitioning effect, since i really dont make alot of fat and ive never struggled with my weight. No increased hunger or muscle fullness? yeah, i read the book beforehand too so i shouldve known; in his documented beta-testing where byrd listed what uses could expect, there werent any results, except for a guy that noticed increased sweating or bodyheat or something, and byrd bragged about it.. i think i stopped after a week because the directions basically said you have to cut dietary fiber out in order to get the benefits, which i found to be pretty unrealistic. i can only imagine it doesnt workOh hey does anyone remember that heat shock proteins supplement that MRI came out with years ago?I fell to that hype lol. Prickly pear ftw!
