Background:
I've been working out for over three years....but until this year I haven't made a lot of progress. I started off at 145 at 6'1 and at the end of last year I was 166 6'4 not a lot of change(That was my lowest in 2 years, 196 high BF was highest). Part of that was due to training and diet mistakes and the other was that I had a hyperthyroid. Got most of that fixed(Still bouncing between hypo and hyper) and shot up to 217 around 15-17 BF%. I've now meet most of my strength goals with the exception of deadlifts which I want to hit 405 before I start thinking about cutting.
I've been looking forward to doing a stack like this for awhile, it's my reward for following through on my summer bulk. I'd be happy if in 8 weeks I gain 3 pounds of muscle and am able to DL 405(Lofty goal, fingers crossed). I've been following 5/3/1 for awhile now and am really enjoying it, my only "sin" while following it is..............I don't.........I don't squat...... because I get tremendous head pain when I do, I make sure I'm breathing good, have rest between sets, good form ect. but it's been a problem.
